Do they not realise that they will just spread the disease faster and the business is going to overall lose out on lost productivity and profits in that period? Are people this fucking dumb just to show they are not "lazy" if they come into work with something like ebola or swine flu?
>>1005722 Two reasons: 1. Companies operating on the bare minimum of staff required, so that they cannot cope when someone is sick so that person needs to come in and work even though they should be at home resting; 2. Growing expectation that employees will work rain, hail, or shine unless they're so sick that they need to go to hospital
>>1005709 I don't think you understand the point of Bitcoin: it works best when the most people are using it. An alternative blockchain wouldn't have the same level of security that Bitcoin does because the hash rate would be lower and a "better" design won't change that.
Bitcoin HAS won and the use of non-bitcoin based blockchain technology won't damage the main network which already powers a shit load of things.
>got best grades in my school >had grades good enough for any UK university >put zero thought in to university choices - picked my hometown one (an ok uni) plus a respected STEM subject that I ended up hating >had tonnes of interviews for all sorts of great internships and jobs (multiple ibd front office, many engineering, IBM) but failed them all due to bad social skills >graduated in mid 2015 >live... I have a grand. My expenses are pretty much paid for by my parents
Tell me, why shouldn't I put all my pittance of money into UWTI? Yeah yeah 'muh decay NEVER HOLD LEVERAGED FUNDS THAT'S WHAT JIM CRAMER OR WHOEVER SAID!!!'.
Listen, we know oil will go up again long term. It may take years. But it will go the fuck up. The money I have is very little so I may as well gamble yeah? If oil goes back up to where it was we're talking massive returns.
>>1005508 Did you mean that in an insulting manner bro? Or was it because I said my parents pay for my shit?
Yeah I'm 20. Working a shitty job, going to go to CC and then get my bachelor's. I feel like gambling on this, I mean a grand isn't too much and what do I have to lose? We know oil will return to its old value eventually. Yeah you might eat some shit on beta decay but think about the long term here. These oil prices are fucking temporary. They will NOT be this way forever.
When will we just quit beating around the bush and reimplement slavery for anyone who makes less than $50k a year? Seriously, these libcucks are shitting up our country with their dumb opinions and gimmedats.
All they care about is taking more of our freedoms away and raising taxes.
Have you been reading The Geneaology of Morals again OP?
Look, everyone loves slavery, just like everyone loves raping and pillaging and making empires, but it's so much easier to trick everyone into thinking their job at Walmart (gained through affirmative action) and iPhone plan makes them happier. That's just how this fucking world is.
If you have to judge people based on their university and not from any work they've accomplished you're dealing with a new graduate or a loser. How about talking to them like a human being and asking questions that may give you clues as to their social status.
Launched a program last week I wrote in autoit, but had errors after launch I tested through but realized my registration code was fucked and had to revamp it because the free one I found online online wouldn't do, and 5 people bought by the third day and I had customers up my ass. It's finals week as well. I stayed up 2 days, still couldn't fix the issue, studied 3 hours, took an exam, then passed out for 10 hours. Stated up for 30 hours again. Tried to find solutions on Upwork, but this first guy thinks giving me "pointers" without me paying him will... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
I have a sticky, sigs made, contest for prior to put my gfx in their sig, I made a referral program, I'm having a sale, I post all over my niche sub forum, I'm in their groups, old account and lots of rep/whatever shit, etc. Good sales thread. Good site. Good title. Idk what else to do.
>>1005390 For something already released? I'm busy marketing my product to sell and I provide customer service. I'm building a customer base. I don't have time to learn c# to port this shit over. That takes time away from my business.
>buy low, sell high If I'm buying, that must mean someone is selling. Similarly, if I'm selling that means someone else is buying. However, why would someone buy at high prices? If a stock is nearing its peak and it's a good idea to sell, to whom would I be selling to?
Maybe stock X moves to $80 per share, its highest valuation ever. At that point, investor A sells his share because he thinks it's the peak, but investor B buys in because he thinks it can get to over $100 per share in a few years.
>>1005283 so if someone is selling there is always a buyer, even if the share is reaching record highs? What happens if nobody wants to buy? I assume this is what happens during stock market crashes, right? Conversely, what happens if no one wants to sell and everyone hoards their shares?
>>1005203 Only invest in things you understand inside & out. - find out everything there is to find out about something you're considering investing in. I don't care if it takes a week, just do it. Members of the board, executives, who they hire, who their customers are, everything. Don't let your impatience trick you into buying the best of a shitty lot - sometimes there are no evident good deals.
>>1005180 >Is there anything that won't eventually get outsourced to Indians/Pakis/China?
Time critical jobs won't get outsourced. Yeah the Chinese can make a 1 off part for cheap, but you need that part NOW not 3 days from now. A domestic company can get you that part the next day because they are a few hundred miles away, not 6000 miles away. Airplanes are not portals. An overseas flight is 12 hours.

>>1005122 By continuously working hard you allow yourself to get "lucky".
Yeah most of success is probably luck but if you don't create the opportunity for it you will never get lucky. If you don't take all those job interviews, try creating your own business, invest in memes, etc you can never win
>>1005122 About 82.3856% of success is due to hard work, and about 17.6144% is due to simple luck (randomness). I know this because I am aware of every single success story known to man and can pinpoint exactly how many instances are attributable to hard work.
