How do women get white collar jobs so easily? Nearly every single women from my class generation is now employed while i am unable to find unpaid internships. It's obviously not sex, because I doubt these woman put out for their boss. So what is it then?
So, Kickstarter is pretty much dead... Yeah, there are still a lot of projects there, but the idea of Kickstarter is dead. They've dropped the approval process and are just allowing anything to be posted, so it's kind of memed out at this point. Sony does a Kickstarter for Shenmue 3 and raises six million dollars and that's pretty much the last nail in the coffin for the chances of some little independent project that's actually interesting and original raising $50K.
Coincidentally, here is another thing that is dead -- the music industry. Now, here... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>983264 Good question, I kind of thought the same thing as I was typing it. I guess the fact that I'm slaving away on a game project. I was planning to take it to Kickstarter in a couple of months, but everything I see tells me that KS is a lost cause.
>>983248 Dude are you retarded? Inflation is good, you got 1 billion dollars inflation is gonna make that bank worht more next year man. Inflation like 2% you get 2 million in da bank next year + interest you be fucking bowling

Let's put this board to use, post your Position, Location, Requirements, Pay, and Hours (if applicable) and hopefully we can employ some of you poorfags. I'll start.
Position: Security Guard Location: Phoenix, Arizona. (Nice office building) Requirements: Unarmed Guard Card (or willingness to get one) and two brain cells to rub together. Pay: 9.50/Hr Hours: Full-time with possibility of overtime.
This is a pretty fucking cushy job, it's not difficult and can lead to some interesting shit but you need some common sense. Pay is decent for the area.
>>983180 Position: Mailman Location: Edmonton, AB. Requirements: Spatial awareness, reading maps, driving, being a packmule, ability to not shoot coworkers. Pay: 19.90-22/h Hours: 40h/wk, paid 40 even if you finish shifts early, daily OT: email@example.com, 2h@2x pay in busy seasons like now.
I can do a route however I want, but between job stress and meeting time requirements by management(even though I do a random route every day) the pay is sometimes hard to justify. >>983202 No... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>983180 Position: Part-Time Bank Teller Location: Scottsdale AZ Requirements: Customer service/cash handling exp or close enough Pay: 11.50 Hours: 20 per week, the occasional Saturday
I had always wanted to work at a bank so since I work from home I decided to get a job at a bank during the day out of self-interest and the desire for human interaction, while also continuing to work from home at night for actual money. It's interesting seeing big checks and stacks of cash but to be honest it's nothing... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Borrowed money is cheap and easy to get. Too easy. That means too many dollars in the economy, chasing after the same goods and services. That drives up the prices of the goods and services. That's called inflation, which, if not closely managed, will assuredly drive the economy into a recession.
Rate hikes are the medicine that staves off the disease of inflation and recession. It might not taste so good, but its far better than the alternative.
Imagine if there was a mass produced virtual window product, in all offices, or manufacturing plants or whatever where you're inside all the time.
They'd come in all shapes and sizes, and basically it'd have a variety of preset locations of moving looped video, but if connected to wifi it could perhaps livestream HD live cameras around the world, setup by the company
There's static, dynamic, and subjective technical analysis. Most big investment firms and pro guys only look at static technical analysis. Weekly/Monthly highs and lows, fibs off those highs and lows, pivot points, VWAP, etc. Most unsuccessful traders look at dynamic and subjective technical analysis. Dynamic TA are things that constantly change such as moving averages, MACD, RSI, etc. Subjective TA are things created by the user and that not anybody else may be looking at, such as drawn fibs, trendlines, channels, etc.
>>982888 nope, it's great for me. it's basically all i use in forex trading and i make solid money. most people are just shitters who panic sell too fast and don't actually know what the hell is going on LOL.
I'm 25 and just started a bridging at uni. I caught up with my neighbour whos 52 and started saying its too late and that I should just join the army. He says he doesn't understand why I have a girlfriend, says im a loser and that I'm a failure and to just join the army. Said I need to live in the now and that Im unemployable. I now think I'm suffering from anxiety and haven't been to the gym in 2 weeks. I dovt get to sleep until 3 am and cant stop thinking that my future is fkd.
This is probably the worst place on the internet to ask this, but what are the fiscal reasons to not adopt universal healthcare in the United States? I'm conservative but sympathize with the poor and homeless, it would be nice if they could have a free base level healthcare system. I'm also realistic so of course I'm not going to go gung ho for this without weighing the very real possible consequences.
Further, I would personally trade most of social welfare (if not all) for universal healthcare because the primary worry of the poor is their health and... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>982766 Man is it really that simple? Thats bogus bullshit if the dindus/hoolios thing is true. My buddy said that too, I didnt buy it then but now I dont know.
Good point about the mega corps.
Huh. Is that all it takes? I'm totally down for universal healthcare. Could this replace welfare? I'm against welfare by principle but am willing to hear arguments in support of it or that it doesn't make people lazy.

It's time for that thread again, lets discuss ways to make some money(especially in a pinch) disregarding morals and just focusing on ease and profitability.
I'll start; >Get prescription for adderall/similar medications and sell it to students(apparently quite profitable) >Make aimbots and other cheats for multiplayer videogames, sell to children >Grow magic mushrooms(seems easy enough although profit not abundant) >Steal things from stores and sell them >Homebrew steroids and sell them(can be VERY profitable if you get good raws) >Make fake fundraisers for dumb but funny things >Post a sobstory on reddit and hope people pity you >Buy counterfeit cartons of cigarettes and sell them
>>982643 Most of these things are just illegal and not only immoral. How about we have an actual immoral money thread and not illegal >Pretend you're a girl on the internet and ask fat lonely men to donate money
>>982676 Yeah ewhoring is only skill and a little bit of luck. When my ewhoring team were at its best we pulled 150 dollars on like 3 hours on a bad day. We earned like 2k total. We were all 16 back then
Ok /biz/. Today I just went to an amway seminar today and I feel like this is the biggest scam there is in this modern day and age. What are your thoughts about how people actually think that they can make a shit load of money by recruiting other people into the business? When I was at one of these seminars there were a lot of highly educated people and I do admit I was impressed by how much 'recruiters' or 'IBO's there were with degrees and such. My only question is how can you be so taken by such an obvious business model that promises little returns for... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>982596 A good scam with tied in sales and/or recruiting can still be lucrative. I've seen a generally dumb friend make nice money just selling knives with little "promotions" drip fed to him. Pyramid design, legit business, sketchy hiring, no payoff if you suck at it. Then I've seen the flipside, fairly smart friend trapped into rental recruitment scam that has him sucking dick for dick dust. Both have offered me fabulous trips to islands.
>unemployed since July >numerous unsuccessful interviews >get a job offer from a big bank, lv1 tech support floor walker, travelling around the country in 2-4 week stints (Perth, Adelaide, regional areas, etc) >pay is good, 5 month contract at 90K/yr rate and all expenses paid, potential foot-in-the-door >starts in January >girl I've been talking with who's into me is moving down...
