Just turned 23 today. Should finish my undergrad in English (literature) in about a year. Was gonna go for teaching to live a comfy lifestyle but fuck that. My dad has a successful nightclub. Should I go for a MBA to eventually take over the business?
>>979141 Forget why I chose it's pointless to discuss that. I live in NYC, my dad will pay for it he has money were relatively wealthy I got a 2014 e350 for my bday last year. I'm asking if it's worth it though or if I should just spend more time working there which I am doing now.
>>978928 >Or could this ponzi scheme come crashing down whenever you least expect it? Because if everyone and their mother, and grandmother know about the stock and buy the stock, who else is left to buy? Its just a swedish company approaching an american valuation. If it was american market cap would be x4 already.
Hey /biz/ is it a good idea to work full time and go to school full time?
I got offered a full time position at a startup, but I'm 20 and less than 3 years into my degree. I want to start making real money now so that when I graduate I already have a leg up, but I also don't want to spend 4 extra years getting a degree thanks to working.
I also got offered this part time job that is much more flexible but it's minimum wage tier, and like I said I'm looking for real cash.
Take the job and take something like 12 credits if you can. See how it works the first semester and if you can handle it, great. If you can't, quit after the semester or even quit earlier and say it was an internship on your resume. You'll still have the job experience and can focus more on school if it doesn't pan out. If you're motivated enough you'll have big boy money and a college degree to boot.
>>978924 Have you done it before? What is the workload like? My schedule next year so far is 12 hours Monday through Thursday, but if I only do night classes then I can only get 9 hours of those which is what I don't want since it will take so long to finish. And they're all those long 3 hour classes filled with 30 year olds.
>>978943 Do what I said, it's not as hard as you think. Unless you'd rather flip burgers. I bet you live in SF or some other hipster shithole and the people who hired you are no older than you, in which case your work won't be demanding anyway.
>>978654 The way it works is, the people depositing into the pot send the skins from their accounts to a bot account used by the jackpot site. The bot then sends the winner the skins and keeps 5% of it.
>>978625 nzfag here, I just got a summer contract in retail and only work 30 hours a week (currently between HS and uni), and I make 4-5 times that. How the fuck is it even possible to make that little?
Anyone here currently mining bitcoin? Is bitcoin mining still profitable in 2015? Recommendations for someone who wants to start mining bitcoin?
I'm willing to invest about $2000 into mining hardware. Now being that it is not nearly as profitable as previous years I have the possibility to cut out power costs completely. I'm not running solar nor out of a dorm but the way I plan on running it will be entirely covered to where I wont drop a cent on power. I don't see a flaw in this currently however I want input from those that are mining or have mined in the past. How have you guys done with bitcoin?
>black friday deals >same shit you can buy at any other fucking time of the year with fake "markdowns" >only a few good deals but not even worth it because the niggers will just beat you up for it anyway.
>cyber monday >the exact same bullshit.

Black friday/cyber monday has been fucked for the past 5 years.
Back in the mid 2000s was the "golden age" of black friday/cyber monday. Nowadays, there simply are no "deals" and the only way to truly find good prices on shit is to physically enter stores and stalk the clearance racks/open box/etc shit.
Basically, we've gone so far forwards that we're backwards again.
What major would be the best option? Main goal is to make $$$$, doesn't matter.

What's stopping people from creating a Kickstarter for a nonexistent product (let's say a board game, video game or film, since those are big ones), creating some trailers using faked footage, generating hype online without ever providing a true proof of concept, and then gradually fading out updates post-funding?
It seems people rarely chargeback for Kickstarters as long as they pretend they're still working on them.
