Is a fund of funds based on two hedge funds more likely to get a 40% return, or a fund of funds based on twenty-five hedge funds? Why?
I would guess 2 funds
A 40% return is quite unlikely with most funds, so with 25 funds in the FoF the average would be pulled down even if a handful did achieve the 40%
If however your 2 funds both have a good year you could do it
Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. The variance of the returns is also a lot higher from a small amount of funds which is also why I was thinking that. With 25 funds, you'd expect an FoF to pull near the average, provided the manager actually diversified the assets and didn't invest into funds in the same sector. You'll also be safer with 25 for the same reasons as above, of course.
The US has been going down for several years btw
This is economics, not petty civilians. You can't do shit in Saudi Arabia unless the King's family says you can. You can do literally anything in India or China if you have the money.

Go ahead, /biz/realis, make your oil price prediction for February.
Thanks to a poster at ZH for these images.
Oil is headed to $10 per barrel. Make sure you don't buy before then.
>mfw I actually work for Royal Dutch Shell.
Why would I be better off investing my first stocks with a brokerage like E-Trade rather than my own bank, Wells Fargo?
Serious question, I don't understand why one is better than the other. Will someone explain?
/biz/ help me. I've been trying to get a job for a while and now I have an interview with an insurance company to be part of their marketing team running their SEO and SEM operations. Problem is I have no experience with this, my major isn't even in marketing, it's in economics and finance. What buzzwords do I need to know to sound like I know what I'm talking about.
Has anyone else here read pic related? I read it and it made total sense as to how I would go about building true wealth. I'm now researching my chosen vehicle for wealth-building
Ive just been researching for about a year now how I could actually become rich and free like I've dreamed for. Finally got around to reading it this weekend and it just furthered my conviction in real estate being the way I'll make it happen
How do I know if my boss is interested in me? How can I convince my boss that I'm dtf and won't tell his wife?
You've got a pussy, he's definitely interested in you.
Just corner him in his office with the door closed, bend over, hike your skirt up, and show him your dripping puss. He will not refuse or be able to resist.

I am in a close knit group of (Dank Meme) Instagramers and we have a fuck ton of followers.I make accounts and get them up to 1K followers and then try to sell them.
My question is, how do I find middle-class kids who would want to buy them with Mommy's credit card? It's a lucrative market and I am under the impression that you guys know a thing or two about liquidating virtual accounts and how to market them.
first what is the reason anyone would want to buy an Instagram account?
second have you tried pushing products through your accounts? like meme t-shirts or hats or things like that?
How much of a POS would I be to drop from 12 credits to 9 and pocket $1000 of the money my grandma gave me for university costs?
For whatever reason, going from part-time to full-time (9 credits to 12 credits) includes an extra like $400 fee that I don't want to pay, and obviously you add in the book cost, it ends up being about $1000 just for a 4th class.
basically, she's giving me like $2900 to pay for this semester. it's all online and I can't find any decent 4th class that would be worth it. It's all on my debit card, so nobody would actually know and it'd sit in my checking account. She doesn't seem to care at all and expects all of the money to be used.
What do companies like Frito-Lay gain when some of their products aren't available in some regions? The reason I ask this is because I live in a section of the Midwest where it's impossible to find a bag of flamin' hot Fritos in any store (all we have here are the plain corn chips and the shitty chili cheese flavor), and the prices online are insane. I was in California on vacation and happened to find a goldmine of them at a grocery store, so naturally, I grabbed a few bags for the future of my fat ass.
Is it that prohibitive for a company...

Okay, so if some stupid niche brand variation of yet another salted baked snacky-treat doesn't exist in your immediate area in the US it's because the retailers are not aware or chose not to stock that product, due to cost, shelf-space, ect.
Entire brands, like say for example, PBR beer, it doesn't exist in the deep south because it faces so much other competition and the firm that distributes PBR has to truck it further, where it will end up with a higher mark-up and nobody is going to pay a...

Is there a solid reason to go get a finance degree if your not from a top 50 school?
What type of jobs do people with finance degrees from state schools or non prestigious schools recieve?
Would accounting be a better alternative if you are not going to a top school?
I am hearing a lot of mixed information and anecdotal advice from the internet and in real life. I was wondering if you guys had anything that you could add to this discussion.
How can I capitalize on /pol/ hate?
I was thinking of hosting a website that refers to articles, statistics and facts about the consequences of different nations having open/"easy" borders, submitted by volunteers in those countries. Nothing "hateful" will be posted just solid cold facts. Maybe I'll print and sell tees like FCKH8 or whatever does.
Is this a decent idea?
