ITT weird things you do for self-improvement:
I open wikipedia in a foreign language with Roman characters that I can't read, and middle click the page to slowly autoscroll and "read" the words. This is good practice for speed reading because when you understand what you're reading, you slow down much more than you need to slow down, to grasp all the meaning. In a foreign language, you grasp all the meaning your gonna get, which is nothing, pretty quickly, and scan the page like a mother fucker, which makes you faster when you return to your native language.
Cut out a small rectangle the size of a normal paragraph.
Go to a dark room with a light switch. Try to read a specific paragraph whilst flickering the light switch. Do this minutes each day and you will develop photographic memory.
Why are there so many wagecucks on /biz/? I thought we were better than that.
I'm dissapointed every time I see a thread like "what's the best university major" or "resume thread." Why do you people enjoy being put in chains?
Hey guys. I'm not sure if I'm posting in the tight thread, but.
Last February I applied for food stamps, and was homeless. since then, I got a job, and moved in with my girlfriend.
I never updated my information with social services.
What's going to happen to me?
If you didn't tell social services about your new job and you're making over what they consider is the limit, they're gonna cut you off and probably make you pay back what they paid you in food stamps.
I'm a 19 year old highschool dropout that has a few years before getting kicked out. I have $1000 in the bank and no car. I like the idea of starting my own business but it seems that I'm quite far off of doing that money wise. What the fuck should I do
What do you think of my generic cover letter?
Best coding language to learn so that I can use those skills for some side money and maybe potentially turn that to full time?
Got my w2 what do I do with it now?
I own a small house in a desirable market (a nice part of Seattle) and I want to move into a bigger house a little bit outside of the city. I feel like the market is in a huge bubble right now (bought the house six years ago for $350k, did no work to it, am confident it will sell for $575-600k now). I probably don't want to spend more than $800k on the new place. Do I sell my place now and rent a place for a bit to see if the bubble bursts, or is it retarded to try and time the market? My next place will hopefully be a place I'm in for 10+ years, so maybe I shouldn't...

The less plebs get it, the better
I'm fairly certain these "funds" are just memes.
Don't the vast majority of them not even beat the market and yet charge exuberant fees?
>Look at some meme mutual funds
>Lower performance than just vanguard ETF and yet at least 5x higher MER
Why do people do this?
Wait, so lets say I got a job at ernst and young as an accountant or auditor. Don't I basically get free infinite insider trading knowledge? Damnit I got into the wrong industry.
>have a little over 3,000 Euros in cash lying around
I don't want to put it in the bank, but I also don't just want it to just sit there and depreciate.
Buy gold (coins)?
Ok, here's the deal /biz/, I'm a student living in Eastern Europe looking to make some money online. I'm looking to make around $10-$20 per day, hopefully in a way that isnt too time consuming.
Get a job faggot, its not like you guys actually work on your work hours, most of the time you chit-chat and have cig break without any consequences, thats the norm actually, and well you will be making that much money.
it didn't have to be like this
what went wrong
They were on the right track, the stars were lined up for Brazil, and then they went building $20 million stadiums (in fucking Manaus, for God's sake!!). Chose to host a World Cup instead of becoming a developed country,
I'm so mad and disappointed just the mention of it has me in fits...
Not the hardest thing in the world to to...
Why do non dividend stocks have value?
Because they have cash, land, machines and other things of value, and if the company is profitable they can buy more of those things. Not to mention the potential to start paying dividends in the future.
