You can tell because canids' nails are always extended, vis a vis felinids (with the sole exception of the cheetah) for whom all claws are withdrawable.
I'm not sure about lupinids, but I assume they're similar/identical in nail physiology to canids.
There's something pretty cute about those floppy ears though.
That and floppy ears are pretty much unheard of in cats, and cat tails don't taper like that even for long-haired breeds with thick, fluffy tails.
I think the Scottish Fold is the only cat to regularly exhibit flapped ears, but I'm not on the Cat Fancy subscriber list so my cat game isn't very baller.
I really like the shininess and general color work on this one, but damn are those proportions wonky.
