Not my favorite Manketsu design, but this is just too cute to pass up.
As much as I love her bro relationship with senketsu, I just adore Ryuko's normal outfits. Even sailor-form senketsu with her exposed midriff. Her intro in the first episode was just so cool. I would have enjoyed seeing more of her being strong and skilled AF in normal outfits instead of relying on waifu-fibers to be that good.
Anyway, I understand that the fanservice/ 90s throwback was part of the show's whole "thing" but I feel like she's just such a good character that she deserves better than that.
Here's one of my favorite wallpapers.
I disagree, I love the idea of two people fighting together and overcoming each other's weakness. It's not just Ryuko relies on waifu fibers, waifu fibers rely on her too. It's not unique either but it made KLK novel, it made Ryuko novel for me at least. It's like the whole show was Dance Like You Want To Win stretched out over 25 episodes. Ryuko is strong was something introduced in the first episode, I'd much rather hear about how Ryuko and Senketsu are strongest. Otherwise it's just TTGL again.
That's true, those elements have their own charm for those reasons. I like how you put it.
I guess I just mean I prefer stories that go the other way with just regular relatable humans that overcome stuff without supernatural/ nonhuman help. (kind of like how people say Superman is boring because he's too OP/ audience can't relate as normal human beans) And I love Ryuko's design & character so much that I'd like to see her in one of those types of stories. It would help me relate and want to be her even more. In that sense, everything I said has nothing to do with KLK, just a Ryuko fantasy I'd go crazy for :3
plus that kind of show would probably have far more lemon meme
I don't know why, I found that squishy face extra cute.
Wait, I thought we were going by anniversary as birthday
Oh hey boss,
In any case, here's something neat, alternate concept art for BD cover final, not nearly as cute as the one we got, but pretty cool.
