Anon please cosplay Johnny/Karyl! There aren't enough Destiny cosplayers is the world. If you're worried about not being masculine enough you could go for Conway from Innocence (pic related) if you really want to be someone from Tales.

Cosplayer trouble with convention thread?
Traveling as an invited cosplayers has been a thing for a handful of cosplayers for a few years now, so trouble has been cropping up with conventions generally treating cosplayers poorly, not providing interpreters, sexual harrasment, or even trying to scam them for money. So general thread where we talk about these incidents?

Things I can remember from the top of my head:
>Reika dumped at the wrong terminal without help at an American airport so she had to use twitter and friends in order to not miss...

did that ecuadorian guy ever do anything with "justice on his side?"

>How do we make sure that young impressionable cosplayers are not scammed or abused when traveling? (Especially when experienced cosplayers are still having trouble.)
have multiple people read the contracts. lawyers if available.. make sure they have backup plans (people they can count on in the vicinity of the convention and airport) in case things do happen. that's more something the cosplayer...

>did that ecuadorian guy ever do anything with "justice on his side?"

Nah. EGIC just posted a doctored account of what happened on their page, leaving out less savory parts of the chat logs and patted themselves on the back for being so righteous. It's ridiculous. No legal action as to what I could find, probably because they don't have a case.
Doubt they could do anything to her anyway. Who the fuck would launch a lawsuit overseas for what, a thousand bucks? Probably cost more in legal fees

Recommendations for a bb cream for oily skin? I've used Missha magic cushion and liked that, considering trying Etude House's cotton fit too but there are mixed reviews. Is Iope's air cushion worth it? And some general questions to get us started

How much makeup I'm wearing that day depends on where I'm going. If it's just to work, I only cover up any blemishes and wear lip gloss. I work in a children's store so I don't think it would be appropriate to wear a ton of makeup. If I'm going somewhere I'll usually go all out.

Any recommendations on foundation and cover up for super dry skin? I've bought like 4 different brands in the past that all have said for dry skin and it still looked gross and flakey.

I never considered makeup until I started cosplaying seriously. My job doesn't really enforce makeup even though we work with doctors and high end people. It might be because we do just about everything at my job from serving food to passing out flyers and crawling under spaces.
If you don't mind me asking, what kind of job requires that?
I work in a children's store too anon. Before that I wore colored contacts and false lashes daily

We've had "atmospheric cosplay" threads in great locations and those are good. And we've had posing threads, and those are good. But most shoots don't take place in a stunning location, and a great pose gets you nowhere if the photographer can't frame it for shit. So I'd like to get a thread that combines the ideas: composition plus poses that can be made in any relatively empty area, and will turn out well 95% of the time.

For example: playing it completely safe with the rule of thirds takes a solid photograph most of the time.

64 KB,
Let's start a thread for indecisive people like me.
Post something you want to buy or do but are unsure to. Anons will help.
I begin.
I never got into lolita even though i know it since 2006. Parents were assholes. A friend of mine sells this dress for 50$. I love old school style dresses in black and white but...i am just not sure. Should i take it anons?

Yeah, it's a pretty good deal. You can find them cheaper on auction and stuff, but then you'd have to pay for shipping. Old school's also super trendy right now so if you like it you should go for it.
Hm yeah but i am just indecisive bc of that three ruffle thing...dont really like it. But its still super pretty
If you're not sold on it, I would check out auctions and browse for some other items before making a final decision. See what's out there first.

How was your 2015 Canadian seagulls? Best/worst con experiences of the year? Planning out your cons and costumes for 2016 yet? Gonna buy any cosplay related stuff with your X-mas/holiday money? How many cons in Canada are you actually going to?

>Worst con experience
Fan expo in Toronto. Not AT con persay but I was getting ready to leave when I hear a wail from the other room. Both my grandparents died and I stayed with my mother for the day instead. I was trying to resell my tickets on Kijiji with only one rude low baller offering.

Yeah I'm planning one big armour cosplay for next year with a couple of easy ones. For AN, Conbravo and Fan expo so far.

I only get weird smelly fruit cakes for Christmas and no money =_=
Ya didn't miss much at FanExpo. Lines slightly more organized but really the usual giant vaguely geeky shopping mall.
Any cos events happening in early January?

Let's see some examples of glasses in lolita, other jfash, or cosplay, for those of us who would rather get some cute frames than stick death plastic into our eyes
