It's almost that time of year again! Some questions to get us started:
>Are you making a wardrobe post this year? >Whose wardrobes do you want to see? >Whose did you like from last year, and why? >Do you have any special photo setups planned? >How much did your wardrobe grow? >Do you think there will be less posts again this year?
Two days ago I got a mystery SAL package with lots of cute jewelry, I especially adore the mushroom ring! I think one of you gulls told me before you would send stuff directly to me. Thank you sooo much! It really fits my style well!
And Cara, I got your card, it's the cutest! Gliscor is indeed a bae and so are you<3
Those type of people do exist but they're fairly rare. Out of my 200~ person comm we maybe have two that act like that in person. I have a feeling that most people who really feel that way keep their "mean girl" attitude exclusive to cgl and btb, as well as their close friends, so they can vent it out safely without fear of repercussions.
All that said I think newbies do have a fear of those people for good reason, but only when it comes to sharing things online. Seagulls can be vicious.
ITT: worst shit you've had to deal with from a "fan" or yours, or a story that happened to someone you know
>be fairly popular lolita on the internet, but never went to meets >decide to check out local comm >first meet I go to is massive and a few girls recognize me >one girl freaks the fuck out over me, calling me senpai, saying how I'm her Lolita idol >flattered at first, but girl ends up not... >>8758354 Cosplay scene is pretty quiet, though it's been picking up in the past few years. A lot of cosplayers have been coming out to take advantage of the Gaylord without the crowds of Katsucon. It's definitely a different feeling all around. Katsucon is very much a Cosplay Showcase convention.MAG is more relaxed and focused on party aspects of the convention, as well as music and video games. They are completely different experiences and I personally prefer MAG. There is just a lot more to see and do all around.... Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
What are some tips for someone looking to start a Lolita community? My area has no comm, despite a large number of lolitas, so I decided to make one. What ways can I prevent ita shit from plaguing it? What do you guys think of making a comm 18+ and having a dress code? The dress code won't be strict at all, just essentially saying that you can't dress ita as fuck to meets. I'm also looking for advice or stories related to >social hierarchy >banning people >meet ideas Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>8758340 The people who are ita will not know they are ita, honey.
And who gets to tell them, and when, hmm? Are you going to do it, OP? When they just arrived at the meet after spending perhaps two hours driving or sitting in transit, wearing $100+ of Milanope and that's the most they've spent on an outfit their entire life?
"Honey, I'm sorry, that looks like you bought it from Milanope, you can't hang out with us today"
She will inevitably be heartbroken and interpret you as bullies.
I threw together some progress on Yamato no Kami Yasusada today. It turned out a lot better than I had expected it to for being all put together in a day. For the most part it was just a lot of practice getting used to my new serger. I know I am probably going to nix the Hakama, just because they were just an attempted made from some left over twill I had. But maybe they're salvageable.
Hopefully I can finish all the fabric stuff and start some armor work tomorrow.
>>8757107 Well please check the catalog next time before making the post to avoid clutter. Like the other anon said, we are a VERY slow board. Threads last weeks here. Longest I ever saw was like 2 months.
