Couldn't fine old one so please post here!
I dunno, it does look intentional. I don't know if it's supposed to be cosplay and is inaccurate but it looks like an intentional choice rather than "lol I drew on my eyebrows too light".
Hey I'm actually the one whose makeup got posted by op. I appreciate everyone who said they liked my eye makeup! I took the photo to show off the pigment of the shadow. I know my brows were pretty bad, I actually wore down my other pencils and Im in school and only get paid every two weeks so I hadn't been able to buy more. I can usually do them better but it's something I've been trying to work on. Thank you for the feedback!
My biggest problem with the eyebrows is just that it looks like someone interrupted you halfway through filling them in and you forgot to finish. The outline is all there, but it just looks empty.
Honestly I hate the way make up brows look and I think you'd look a lot better without drawing them out like that. Just fill in a tiny bit/darken them a tad and I think you'd look good, but I know my opinion isn't a very popular one.
> has thick ass brows and doesn't see the appeal
They usually don't look quite so thick? Idk I did have a darker pencil I was outlining with but it ran down before I could finish and was too small to sharpen anymore. My brows usually look at least a bit better. I was working a pride event at my college but usually the shape is smaller
Thank you for complimenting my eyeshadow! I actually just did it for aesthetic. If I didnt maintain it it would grow back in a couple weeks. Alot of music artists in the 80s did it and it's come back as being trendy today in some niche places! I may get tired of it eventually but I like it right now
If you overdraw your eyebrows like that, you should remove your real ones completely imo. The drawn shapes look nothing like the real eyebrows anymore, so it's weird when you just have a few lil hairs in there. The rest of the makeup looks great and I believe you'd love the flexibility that comes when you don't have real eyebrows.
This is supposed to be make-up for Jotaro. I generally really want to help this person.
Looks like they were aiming towards hime gyaru. You tried anon, better luck next time.
Not anon, but someone into gyaru. If she was aiming for gyaru, her eyeshape needs work and she needs to contour. She needs to make her lower lashes meet her waterline towards the inner corner. I wouldn't call this bad enough to have in this thread but it's still not good.
"Did a practice faun make up. Now to rush and get this shit off ＼(;´□｀)/"
They're cat scratches. Typically seen in black fashion, pretty popular in that scene in 90's and 2000s when the black fashion labels were big. Doesn't necessarily have to do with gang culture.
Seagulls just hate on everything. welcome to the 4chan equivalent of the gagglefuck of squawking girls who are pleasant one moment then bitch at other women as soon as their backs are turned.
this is apparently supposed to be femShep
Cute, well no not really.
cgl is full of lots of types. and "Bad X thread" always has sounded in my head the same way a group of bratty little bitches nitpicking peoples costumes and cosplay at a convention.
I agree that it is vendetta, but that makeup isn't great for Elizabeth either. I get she's going for Liz near the end of infinite, but it's just too clean, too thick, too overwhelming, and too red. It's not bad, it just needs a little toning down.
Depends on your face/eye shape, skin tone, skin type etc if you want things that will work for you without tweaking them but check out Wayne Goss, Nikkie Tutorials, Lisa Eldridge and VintageorTacky
Your eyeshadow looks great, I'd never be able to get it to look so clean.
What is with the eyeshadow/liner? Has she been looking up jfashio on Tumblr or something? Jesus, I didn't think this was a good idea even during my raccon phase when I was 13.
Even if this is shooped it's impressive. The hairline and tape sewn onto the clothes really make it look great.
What the actual fuck? It looks like she smeared soot onto her face with spit.
Guzzadi twins from Melbourne. They honestly used to be really good. I looked up to them so much. And then they started watching SNK and began the shitstorm style of makeup you see before you.
I'm hoping it was just a "look at the wig I just got!!" sort of photo, not actually showing the wig/makeup off.
The braid is grossly uneven, as well.
The makeup is bad for Elsa, to be on-topic.
something's weirdly creepy about this but I can't place it
supposed to be the evil flower
That's meant to be this from Grimm, in which case it's actually pretty darn good.
This person needs help with their skin so bad. The make up that she put over it makes it look worse.
she needs mattifying powder, also maybe to exfoliate every once in awhile
Retouching this is really easy with the Spot Healing/Bandaid tool.
>Draws outline for eyebrows
>Doesn't fill them in
What the hell
Even more perplexing because of that expert eyeshadow blending. Like, they should know how fucking weird it looks to just draw the outline and like nothing else
Girl, you look fairly cute, you don't need this shit.
I saw this and felt an intense need to shoop her
She was wearing a baldcap as some sort of reference to how large foreheads were considered beautiful or something during the era and women would shave their hairlines back.
Of course you wouldn't want a model to actually shave their hairline so baldcap
Found this under suggested photos on instagram. Whyyyyy
>this is not a b&w photo
Wh-what is it supposed to be?
This is the description
"Loved the hand design I made, full black hands, carrying into the fingertips and then feathering out towards the wrists into the other colours so they all blended together. #feelingproud"
It's not so much the makeup itself but the fucking edition of the video. All those effects are really tiring to my eyes, and they make it imposible to watch.
complete with white girl use of aave.
it makes me so uncomfortable when white girls use aave, like "sleeping on this" or "ratchet" or "fleek" or other shit like that. like thanks for making sure i know how white you are but please stop. i sounds so wrong and very off.
way to miss the rest of my post
"sleeping on this" is aave lmao. y'all is southern. i'm literally from texas and i use it 800 times a day. that's not what i was talking about at all.
i literally just said it sounds wrong. it sounds incredibly stupid, white girls trying to act like black girls. white girls who use aave sound exactly like white girls trying to sound black. it's annoying and sounds weird. put your big girl petticoat on and calm down.
african american vernacular english. basically when you hear black people use shorthand. like i said above, the term "sleeping on this" is aave for ignoring something. "why are y'all sleeping on this" means "why are you ignoring this"
yeah, no. i can see it being offensive when used specifically to make fun of the way black people talk, because no one realizes aave is a legit language offshoot with specific rules just like any other language. linguists consider it to be the same as any other language because you can study it and predict it just like any other language. but while white people using aave sounds wrong and stupid, it's not the same as using a word specifically invented to keep a race of slaves down. your comm leader needs to get real.
now let's stop derailing a makeup thread.
She just needs to take her time and practice. And to thin out the liner under the eye.
even japanese kuro gyarus who've been in the scene for years mess up their makeup at times.
Some of the OTT makeup attempts I've posted online hasn't been perfect either, ending up in one of these threads would discourage me from trying to improve even more tbh. Why can't you message her offering cc instead of poking fun at her here?
Also should I make a separate thread for closeups/photographing makeup?
>nobody fucking cares
go fuck off and whine about people not talking the way you think sounds the best.
I hate to tell you this, but people pick up slang from one another. We are social creatures. When white people have black friends and peers, especially from a young age, you're basically not going to prevent white people from picking up on their friends' slang. It's impossible.
I know this is a nitpick but I really really really hate thick cat eye liner in J-fashion-inspired stuff. I'm not really crazy about it in general tbh. It's very overrated. The J-fash scene overseas is fairly homogeneous to begin with and so many "alt" ppl doing the same fucking liner isn't helping. AMmI the only one who's sick of this?
I always thought that gyaru and even lolita prefer the liner in a straight wing or even a downward sloop for the droopy eye look, so a cat eye seems out of place if you wanted to achieve that look.
My full body paint galaxy/nebula design.
I'm quite pleased with myself and definitely proud that I managed to conjure up something like this without any help from my lecturer
>it's gore so it must be bad
Idk man, that's a passing grade to me, they still have some work to do but most of it is fine.
I'm really tired of seeing gore make up getting posted to these threads. Most of the ones I see posted look fine. Not all but most.
Not sure why people have higher standards for it.
>I am really big on SFX
So am I. Like >>8688106
said. It's looks really good compared to other amateurs. I would say they could use some work, but over all, it's pretty damn good. That person is definitely progressing.
Also stuff like this
They both look fine. People are just tripping and you probably watch too much of that stupid make up fx reality show where only advanced professional types are competing.
Having tried just ab out every kind of foundation there is these past few years, I can say with 100% certainty that foundation-type products will be visible most of the time and not all that forgiving matter what the quality. If you opt for matte finishes it doesn't help; in fact since no one has naturally flat, matte-looking skin it looks even more unnatural.
Those little raised bumps that aren't noticeable bare-faced are magnified by foundation and the like. And remember, the secret to flawless looking makeup in photos is lighting and angles. In reality, ott contouring is far from natural or "flawless" looking. (makeup that looks very thick irl will sometimes looks like I've liquify'd my face in photos and flattering light-handed applications of makeup will look dreadful sometimes so in general, photos can be decieving)
you know i get mildly annoyed when i see bad makeup/bad cosplay threads where someone posts something bad and then talks about how stupid tumblr kids will fawn over it but then i scrolled through my dash and came upon this girl's 6 picture post with this makeup and i can't find the will to live.
I kind of like this and in a way I hate myself for it, but I have to say that this more or less looks like it was made for some staged school performance which in that case it is fine.
no surprise that contouring is just pasting on 10 layers of product, which in return leads to wrinkles and bad skin. nicki minaj as well as the kardashians are also not known for going for a natural look, considering the amount of plastic surgery.
but to be fair, especially the close up nicki pictures were run through a sharpening filter to make it look extra bad
>that white strip of highlighter on her nose tho
celebrityclose-up.com Is where I get most, they make great reaction images.
i feel like contouring makeup is one of those things that literally only looks good in pictures that are taken at the right angle in the right light. speaking as someone who's gone through a lot of makeup trying to figure out contouring and as someone who knows a lot of people who wear makeup, i have never seen good contouring ouside of pictures. even in like youtube tutorial videos, they don't look very good in motion.
I love how they didn't even blend her underbrow highlights, it's just a white line lmao
Contouring and highlighting is essential if you wear full coverage foundation or else your face will look too flat. I think you've only seen it done too heavily, because good contouring and highlighting isn't even supposed to be visible, it's supposed to look like your actual face.
contouring can transform your face drastically, i see it as theatre makeup rather than anything to be worn daily.
i generally don't like how artists like minaj etc promote this fakeness as a sort of beauty standard...
I know kuro gyaru is a very extreme fashion, but oh god, this is too much
It also took me a minute to realize that those flat anime things are actually her nails. I don't know how she manages to funcion with those things on her fingers
more power to her for doing what she wants, but daily? wow. this would be great for a event, like a fashion walk, or convention, but i cant imagine doing this everyday. her nails are cute, but how can she function? do her fingers hurt from having those huge things stuck on them? do her eyes/eyelids hurt with such heavy lashes on them?
she seems like a pretty cool and relaxed girl but i have so many questions. i love gyaru but this is so... ott.
the super-thin lips paired with the wide eyes (accented with white liner underneath to make them look even BIGGER) looks so fucking off and creepy
>what are real life shadows
>what is the sun
Anon confirmed for taking high-contrast selfies all the time and never going outside
You only truly need contouring if you plan on getting pictures taken because photographs are what make faces look flat. But it's the norm now to contour yourself to hell everyday.
ehh... nothing to be particarly proud of
this is a thread for laughably bad makeup, not mediocre makeup that your jealous about getting attention. like we get it, tumblr gives special attention to black girls, but that doesnt make it really bad. tumblr isnt a professional site, people dont get money or credibility from tumblr notes.
I had to lol at those smiley stickers and her weirdly overdrawn lipstick.
My biggest pet peeve with Kate is that she even does tutorials for her shitty make-up.
A 23 year old girl managed to make herself look 20 years older whilst making her eyes look different sizes. She claims she looked "bishie"
...did she really just slather her eyebrows with foundation and then draw new ones right above them?? please tell me it's just shitty photo quality and that's not what I'm actually seeing...
they described this as their mermaid look
Oh man, I see these girls all the time on Facebook. It's not just for SnK, they do this shittastic contouring for all their 'handsomu bishounen' characters. The girl who does Eren in these photos only has that one facial expression, which is 'grind my teeth and smirk while I pass a hernia'.
I can't get over their eyebrows and weird eye shapes and terribad contouring. They're already white - why do they need to extend their eyes even more?
(Check out her whacky chola eyebrows for Link...)
Whenever I think my makeup is bad, I look at this chick
She comments on literally every CoF entry saying 'cute'
this isn't really makeup but I visited the website the other anon posted about and oh god her lacefront
>Calling people newfags for calling other people newfags.
kek, gangs are just nigger friendclubs trying to be intimidating. It's a sign of being a sheep.
I'm pretty sure the trend became a thing among edgy girls partly because of some character who had a scar on their brow, but I cannot remember who. Or maybe just every character in history who had a scar on their brow.
pic related, this racist motherfucker.
A gang is a group of friends
Their goals are intimidating other groups of friends
Sheep is a metaphor for being similar to each other
They all wear the same types of stupid clothings, trends, and colors
I now realize jfashions are actually gangs while I was spoonfeeding you that sentence.
I agree with you 100%.
it would make more sense if they started doing it because it looked cool on some random sexy celeb that started to do it because it looked tough on rap dudes.
most girls don't give a shit about rap and care even less about looking tough, that's obviously a white dude thing. >>8704679 is right.
