Flat coordinates thread. Can also be on a mannequin.
For some reason, I'm a huge sucker for these.
Dumping what I have, sorry if you've seen these before/recently
OP I LOVE flat coords too, but every time I had a coord in my head, lay it out and feel happy about it, it will become very ugly as soon as worn. The human body is just so different to a flat surface. I guess that's why they look so good - everything is in ideal proportion, no little lumps and bumps.
Still, I like seeing them for colour coordinate ideas! Sorry for the rant and tanks for posting!
The only thing I can't stand about flat coordinates is when someone puts their shoes on their dress. It makes me want to scream. At least put something plastic under them.
Hnggggg this thread.
Request for some pastel sweet? Maybe even OTT?
>I know it's dead but it's still my fave
Finally found something 2011 OTT sweet
I'm out. Hoped that this dump helped!
I love this coord, it's simple yes but i love to see solid/plain pieces coorded more creatively. With a solid piece like this (Bodyline jsk??) you can create sweet or classic coords depending of the colors and items.
More solid coordinates similar to this?
I always lay my clothes on a bedcover I put over my duvet when I do my bed. My main reason is because I hate when people sit with their dirty clothing where I'm going to sleep, but not getting sweat on my pretty clothes is a nice bonus.
Forget about that, why would you ever buy food? People have touched that with the hand they have wiped their butt with!
I live in Denmark where you only wear shoes in the entre (tiny room right after the entrance in all Danish houses and apartments where you store coats and shoes and umbrellas, I don't know what it is called in English because ''hall'' sounds way too grand)
Anyways, believe me, the floor still gets dirty and dusty, and you still don't åut your clothes on your floor unless they are going straight to the washer.
>because ''hall'' sounds way too grand
When you're talking about a house, it isn't. You're also talking about a porch. It's an enclosed room when you enter a house where you generally leave shoes, coats, bags, etc.
These really vary between UK and USA English, so I'm sure there's differences in other countries.
In the UK, a porch is always enclosed like that anon said. You would never call a porch a veranda here, a veranda is a raised and open area.
I guess it's more like the hallway? Porch and veranda are definitely outside terms.
Still, I always clean the floor everyday and especially just before laying coord shots, so I think it's fine. I think people who wear shoes inside the house are gross though.
>if you have pets
>if you have carpet
>shoes/feet/animals walking across the floor
You drag dog/human shit (dried, powder form), with bacteria, parasite eggs, fungi, etc, in your shoes/feet. You shed skin everyday and release it on the floor. Dust accumulates even if you vaccuum often. Small insects eat on your skin and grow there, the same with fungi.
Is not a few minutes, is all the stuff that is already there. You might not die of that, but clothing can become holders of that shit.
if it is no important we might as well start to eat in the floor
>For some reason, I'm a huge sucker for these.
Because they remove like 75% of a great outfit: the body, fit and face. Which is also the part that is frequently fucked up.
I take my shoes off inside and clean my clothes regularly. If you start looking at it like that, everything in your life is filthy as fuck and you might as well just spray yourself with disinfectant every 10 seconds. But I know it's pointless to argue, so whatever.
You're an almighty idiot, It's blowing my mind that you're arguing in favor for laying dresses on the floor.
I'm suprised you haven't pulled the "but there's dust and mites in beds too so you can't put your dresses anywhere safe!!!!" argument.
>Yes, there is dust everywhere.
> Not wanting to lay clothes worth hundreds on the floor does not make you a germ freak
I don't think anyone is arguing anon.. you're the only one getting passionately worked up over what is all over clean floors and that is making you look like a germ freak.
If you personally prefer not to lay your clothes on the floor, fine, but the hand-wringing over what others are doing with their dresses is so silly. You know you cited SKIN FLAKES as a reason to not put clothing on the floor, right? Clothing, that you wear, that is going to be in very close proximity to your skin? Also most lolitas steam their clothes anyway so that will take care of most of the issues anyway. Lord.
That anon was not the skin flakes. that was me.
Go on, put clothing in the floor, regardless of price or value. It is not going to change the fact that the clothes are accumulating stuff. They do anyway, why make things worse?
Just explaining why I consider nasty to put things in the floor and why I don't buy from sellers who put their stuff in the floor.
If you value more a photo over dirt in the floor and your dresses, good for you.
The overall tone of the reply is neutral, the capslock is only there because there are no italics here.
That was also my only response to the whole debacle. It's very silly to fuss over what people do with their clothing, especially when the fussing is over "oh my god it's touching the clean floor!" Just damn, calm down.
holy shit this is awful, please tell me it was a joke
>Not a Lolita here anon.
Then why do you think you are right with this?
I have that print in lavender and there is no ivory in it at all, it's pure white with a yellow/gold accent color. I can see the white blouse going along with the dress and matching headbow, but the rest of this coord is terrible. The tights aren't even a matching gold and they're covered in butterflies and leaves... very much different from the print which has pegasus' all over it. Don't even get me started on the weird brown/purple bag. It has no business being here at all. The shoes are ugly but they're okay, however you need to match your golds if you're going to try and match the shoes and tights with the gold in the print. The necklace is random and looks completely stark and out of place with that blouse, not to mention it's also a different color gold. Really... how can you sit here defending this coord?
I'm also going to add that the detail photos on the right are in really weird lighting because the gold of the dress is not nearly that yellow in person.
