Yeah alright I'll bite. Thanks to the anon who linked me to the hat tutorial, it really helped, I think I could have done a little better but I'm decently happy with the result.
dont have a great photo of it since i just went to a party on halloween, but i was jess from until dawn. i didn't want to use my bigger cosplays just in case they got messed up. i mainly got called 'zombie elsa' which was funny. but it was my first time trying bloody makeup, i'm not too upset with how it came out!
you look so cute! the hat came out well
I made my dress in the five hours leading up to us going out. And then coffee was spilt on it, so I became a zombie nurse to try and hide it. It was super simple, but it was fun and everyone ended up having a great time that night.
I didn't dress up, but I made my son's costume this year. I spent all month on it.
Aw this is really cute, what character is this?
I went as StarFox, made it in a one week crunch haha
It felt terrible to be an annoying weeb again... Not in the picture: Free Hugs/I love Yaoi sign and a Miku leek
I made this, I didn't do a character because I've been wanting an excuse for something pirate-y for ages, sadly it's not very halloween-y
Pretty sweet! Makes me think of Adventures in Babysitting.
>I didn't dress up, but I made my son's costume this year. I spent all month on it.
Yeah, same here. Team effort - wife sewed and I built props - so neither of us dressed up.
Ako from Little Witch Academia, my girlfriend did Diana too.
Jim Lahey, Sunnyvale trailer park supervisor.
A lot of these costumes are great! I already can't wait for next year...
A while back I mentioned in some thread that I thought of going as a fluffy moth, among other things. I'm glad I went with the moth idea, first time working with a lot of faux fur... I'm still finding white fluffs around my place.
>I'm still finding white fluffs around my place.
Yeah, me too, anon, but probably for an entirely different reason.
Im the Scarecrow, and my AdMech friend there was asked if he was a postapocaliptic Santa Claus
>my AdMech friend there
Did he bestow your men with weapons of destruction?
Quite a few lol, I did get about three people who knew I was Fox though. This one guy got really hyped when he saw my costume and went on about StarFox 64 and asked for a picture haha, was very flattering
>Post apocalyptic santa Claus
I like it
Had about 30 minutes to plan for an outing to a haunted farm attraction so I went as Sadako from the Ring.
>tfw you spot two other Sadakos in the middle of a corn field trying to scare you
It honestly took minute to figure out what the hell you meant, anon. She's not from taobao but she gets all her sweaters from there.
You're so fluffy, I just want to hug you.
Thank you! Oh yea I agree, a bit on the thin side and plain. I was working this to the last minute, then I got to accept that the wings won't be super detailed. I got to wear it on the 30th for a costume contest, and worked on refining it afterwards. So before the 31st, the wings were spotless. I'm glad to have added a little something.
Haaah lovely! I swear it looks like I own a white cat after I was done cutting and sewing.
Thank you! The arms were made of a pool noodle and duct tape, shaved down to size. I'm glad they were light!
Thank you! It's really comfy, besides getting hot with the head on so I kept it mostly off except for pictures and showing the costume.
A lot of people shared the same sentiment, haha! I got patted plenty, I'm glad the fabric store had this long faux fur in stock. First time working with it, so I sewn some things with the grain, and against the grain which gives a fluffier appearance I find.
Me as maleficent. It was fun making the headpiece
I never have anywhere to go for Halloween, but this year my friends and I had a really good excuse to make some Hocus Pocus costumes. I'm thinking we'll probably end up dragging these to a con some day.
I suck at taking photos. At least my kid was cute in his dragon costume.
I was Sadness from Inside Out! For something I put together in like a week I'm pretty proud of it.
Ssure thing bo-bandy, just let mehave a lil drinky-poo...
I'm really happy with the way mine turned out! The advice I got here really did help. There's some things I could have done better but I didn't glue anything together so that's a plus! At the parties I went to everyone just exclaimed "Sailor Moon!!" so I had to nod yes because I didn't want to remind everyone there's more than one scout/senshi. The people who did recognize me said they really liked my costume so that was nice.
I have so much of that green fabric left so I'm going to try to make another (longer) pleated skirt to wear with my normie clothes.
Rick Deckard. Everybody thought I was Inspector Gadget.
Albeit a bit of a normie costume idea, first time trying anything SFX-y and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! Didn't have time to clean up the latex edges though
I made this hat to go with a millefleurs dress that never came in the mail. But definitely proud of my first witch hat!
(The lace isn't sewed on because I wanted to wait until I got the dress so I could make sure the laces looked okay together.)
Scared a few people by turning around too fast so I guess mission accomplished.
Ngl, I did a double take while scrolling, got the willies.
Love this so much, you look so squeezable.
> literally one afternoon
> $40 costume budget
> not allowed to wear lolita (considered cheating/not a costume by my coworkers)
and came up with this, had a lot of fun after discovering the hands will hold plastic cups pretty well.
Halloween dorm dinner in a simple Taobao maid outfit so it wouldn't be too weeb.
Decided to throw together a witch outfit last minute, made the hat and put on my satan summoning meta dress
China messed up on a few things but at least it barely made it in time.
Intentionally ass, made just before going off to party
Was lazy and did a werewolf version of Velma from a straight to DVD Scooby-Doo movie that came out a while ago. I did win first place at my work's Halloween party because of it though!
Unfortunately didn't have everything for it by Halloween, but it turned out okay.
Made my GF's little bro a sub zero costume essentially in 2 days lol
Thanks gurl. I just went to the Halloween store to pick up some gray spray hair color, and then I went to my local thrift store for the rest of the outfit. I also could not forget the liquor.
Didn't go to any parties because I'm smack in the middle of quarterfinals and comprehensive exams and had to study. (but I'll be getting my degree soon!) Went by Micro A-kon for a short while but it was disappointingly deserted so I left.
I just wore my Prussia cosplay and did some cheesy skeleton makeup.
Went to Disneyland and since I dressed up as Alice Teddie, I thought it would be simple to just pass it off as Alice in Wonderland.
Half of the people wanting a picture of me didn't know what I was supposed to be, they called me a Forest Spirit or Beetle.
for your first time trying SFX makeup this was really good!
I honestly don't care if the zipper face has been done alot now, I still think it looks creepy as fuck!
Only thing is that I think you should have added some darker red or some black and faded it out in the edges inside the zipper, so it would have created some shade, the solid red is a bit too much. But for a halloween costume it ofcourse doesn't matter that much.
Sad I only have a progress picture and a drunk selfie of this but being Kiki was fun and I'm really happy with how the dress turned out and I'll probably wear it normally.
