Hey /ck/ Does anyone have any good recipes/tips for Chicken leg quarters
Rip the skin off, cut it into small strips and put it in a small pan over a low heat. Move them around occasionally until they're all crispy, drain and salt them.
As an added bonus, you'll be left with some chicken oil which is great for stir fries.
Any good suggestions for lessons/inspiration on plate design?
I legitimately want to know where to buy foreign groceries in the US. I was mainly looking for Eti Topkeks or BARR Soft drinks.
Look for retailers of specifically foreign goods in your area. The British butcher shop down the street from me has all sorts of British candies and foods. The Ukrainian deli a few blocks away carries every fucking eastern European thing you can't find in a regular grocery store
Let's do it again, ask a REAL Chef anything
Okay, can someone please tell me why is this playing in the background?
I have so much of this stuff, idk what to do with it. What would you do with konnyaku (konjack)?
I will /trv/ through London, and will spend almost 5 hour in Heathrow airport, at lunchtime. Is there any suggested places, where I should eat, or there are just the generic, overpriced "2 slice bread, one slice bologna" sandwiches for 10billion shekels?
for example, in Budapest, you can buy french macaron, shipped every week, straight from Paris.
Terminal 5 has some overpriced Ramsay shit.

Alright cu/ck/s, I've got a dozen regular old supermarket eggs (egglands best i think) with a best by date marked January 1. Are these salvageable as hard boiled? I know they say you should prefer to boil older eggs so they peel easier but I'm not sure this is what they have in mind. Is this way too out of date and risking danger? Should I crack one open and give it the smell test? Just throw them out, or at someone's house? wat do
Are beer hipsters the worst hipsters?
>If you're not happy with the lowest grade of commercial food you're a hipster.
Do you think someone is a hipster if they choose to go out to a nice restaurant instead of eating pic related at home?
Food gore thread.
French food is incredibly stagnant. It relies overly on fat and ridiculous amounts of knife work, french cooks are complete shit in actual working conditions.
Modern chefs and cooks don't want to spend 3 hours of their day turning veggies and bruinoising shallots, they don't want to spend 5 hours of their week making equally sized florettes, food has moved beyond what made french cooking popular, and France in that regard is stuck in the past.
If you think of your average fine dining restaurant, very little French tech is used, because at the end of the...

What is your opinion on Gordon Ramsay ?
His UK shows are a lot better. In America, he's just known for yelling at you but he can genuinely be nice. He only gets mad if you majorly fuck up, deny what you did wrong, or violate health code standards. He himself admits that he isn't that great of a chef compared to others, he's just had good business management skills.
And I think he admitted he plays it up for the US audience as well.
