You're totally right. The Indonesian versions are supposed to be a lot better due to different ingredients, but I can't get them in the States. I don't buy Indomie because it's exotic, though. I just like the mixture of sweet, sour, salty and savory.
There's some made for Nigeria you can import, but $100 for 60 packets of ramen is kind of crazy.
So for my college class we have to make a meal consisting of a main dish and two sides. What would be a good meal plan that inst overly complicated but still looks good?

I usually start with a roux then add cream and seasonings and thicken it. Then I add all my cheese slowly to let it melt. The sauce tastes pretty good but it always comes out kind of chunky and greasy.
