I have a whole raw chicken and I want to make chicken stock. Do I just throw it in a slow cooker or should I roast the chicken first?
Roast the chicken and use the flesh however you want.
Toss the carcass with onion, carrots, vegetable scraps and a handfull of peppercorn in a stock pot and cover with water. Simmer for a couple of hours. Strain and discard the solids.
No use in wasting the meat to make stock. Eat thr chicken, make stock with what is left.
Got gifted some spices (pic related) that contain:
>Ground Himalayan salt (87%) and spices in varying proportions (13%):savory, rosemary, thyme, lemongrass.
Thing is I very rarely cook with spices and I have no idea what to do with this mix. Any ideas?
Finely dice 2 large bunches of fresh parsley, then add these ground up spices:
1 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp coriander
Add this mix with 1 tbsp of your salt blend in a large mixing bowl. Shuffle everything around until the parsley flakes are evenly coated. Get 2-3 pounds of ground lamb or beef & start mashing it in with the spices. Keep folding the flesh on itself until the coloring is uniform & the parsley bits are interspersed throughout.
Stick the bowl in the fridge or...

Hey guys I fucking suck at cooking anything past omlete, Pasta, and basic microwaveable food. I want to learn how to cook but all of the website that I find are targeting housewives who are looking for new recipes.
Any websites that focuses on easy (and maybe cheap) cooking for beginners?
>same great taste
Any of you cu/ck/s tried this? Thoughts?

I find this is quite good if you have acid reflux, or just don't like tomato
Pic semi related
use real garlic, and real parm and olive oil instead, it will help with that acid problem.
no salt or pepper required.
>it will help with that acid problem
How? Do you even know what sets off acid reflux?
I do agree about the real garlic though. Even poorfags don't have an excuse, garlic is cheap pretty much everywhere.
What veggies and sauce goes well with basmati rice?

Subway's attempt to rebrand themselves away from the child molester Jared Fogel is a joke. Trying to go retro and model their brand as a real restaurant. Haha.
I worked there. The only fresh ingredients are tomatoes, onions and green peppers. The other stuff is canned or packaged in plastic.
Yeah, I had worked at both Subway and BK and was surprised to find out Subway uses bagged lettuce. Even BK would get in fresh heads of lettuce to chop up.
My Subway store was atrocious at thawing things and would constantly use the neighboring foodstall's industrial steamer to "thaw" things and would end up cooking the shitty frozen beef even more. Our store would also freeze bread to use three days later.
It was gross.
