We have enough pics of bacon and fries.
Post a meal you enjoyed that was also healthier than our usual fare.
Which health craze seems particularly futile to you and how do you eat healthy instead?
Is there another quick way to make potatoes besides the microwave? I just tried it but the skin was very chewy by the time it was cool enough to eat.
cover it in foil in the oven and the skin won't get that way. fucking moron. what a mongoloid.
that being said, post here more and you'll learn some common sense cooking my friend, welcome. : ]
>making easy mac
>open container and fill with water up to the line
>put in microwave for 3 and a half mins like it says
>leave and come back to macaroni water all over the fucking microwave
I was told to make this post by my anti-neet psychiatrist to help become a better person
What else can I buy in bulk that requires basically no thought to cook?
I'm getting real fucking tired of fried potatoes with eggs and cheese
Yes, I know, "beans and rice". Shit that can create an actual meal and not make me want to kill myself after one day. I don't wanna eat nothing but beans for a week
Okay, I have a real craving for Trix. The problem is that I live in Canada and supermarkets here don't sell it. How do I get a box? I don't care if I have to get it shipped. There's a candy store in Ontario that ships it but I'd like to know if there was any other options. Thanks in advance.
im the in the mood for savory beans but all i have are baked beans in molasses.
what would cut some of the sweetness? ive been a few recommendations for mustard (i assume yellow). what do you think?
itt: post pictures from bad restaurants in your area
Love the cheese but absolutely hate the taste of that white crust thing. It's vile and ruins the taste of otherwise delicious cheese
Everytime I have it I just cut away the crust
People criticise me as "don't know anything about cheese"
What does /ck think? It can't be only me. Right?
It's called the rind
Some people love it and swear by it as some cheesemakers purposefully flavor the rind
Others cut it off because it's bitter or bland
There are some rinds you're supposed to eat, but it's not a hard and fast rule
Just look it up online because if you don't have constant internet capabilities, you probably aren't concerned about how to eat fancy cheese
Just don't worry about what others think because it's just cheese
Like you shouldn't...

The food fairy has giftet you a tenderloin. What dish would you make? Bonus points for creativity.
Post all Mexican food content related here. From Cabrito in the North to Lengua en azafran in the south. Street food to Modern
>mfw the best mexican joint in town was right near me until it got gentrified to the point that it got shittier and trendier and then disappeared entirely when they razed the building it was in for condo towers
How do I into tea?
Any cook in this world, listen to my words.
Go easy on that goddamn garlic or there will be no tomorrow.
What's the best lemonade brand and why is it pic related?
Do you like frog?
I like frog!.
is there a trick to chugging soda? its so fizzy it starts to burn my throat.
Breathe through the nose. One drink at a time. FIGHT THROUGH THE PAIN. THE TEARS ARE NOUGHT BUT EXHAUST FUMES. THE BURNING YOU FEEL IS THE FIRE OF GLORY. YOUR HEART IS PURE AND YOUR STOMACH IS STRONG AND YOU CAN DO THIS.

Guys what motivates you too cook?
I loved to cook then my stomach went to shit and I drank tea for about a week with one meal a day and eating chocolate to make up for calories because my tummy area hurt when I ate food.... Found out its the worst when I have a fuck ton of really sweet sugary shit at once or eat meat. So I've gone vegetarian with relapses when I feel like I hate myself(can't eat fish either) alcohol helps though and I think im getting a bottle of spirytus to help me...
Needless to say I've lost pretty well all motivation to...

My parents both hated cooking. And they were terrible at it when they tried.
I grew up thinking grilled cheese sandwiches with canned tomato soup was a Wednesday dinner thing in all families.
Thursdays were KD. Picture related.
Now I enjoy discovering how to cook meals for myself. From scratch.
When I want more veggies in my system I make soups or smoothies.
Become a smoothie master OP.
What you think /ck/? Is this place a meme or legit? One just opened a few blocks from me and people at work won't shut up about it. I checked it out, selection seemed somewhat limited but they have decent cheese counter. Lots of frozen shit.
It's only good for premade/frozen shit. Apparently the beer is good, but I've never tried it.
But for fresh produce and meat, it's garbage.
Depends on what you are looking for and the size of the store I guess. The one near me isn't huge. So I never see any of that bullshit stuff the internet talks about. Their sushi is the 2nd best store bought sushi I ever had.
It's pretty much all store brand stuff. It's as cheap as the name brand stuff you'll find at the supermarket but a little better. They also have a bunch of stuff you won't find elsewhere. They have more employees working at any given time than the other supermarket I go to, which is like 10 times bigger.
BOGO la croix at publix
you heard it here first
"Hey anon! Want to try some of my garden fresh """"salsa?"""""
rate my dinner /ck/
It's taco night y'all :)
I have chicken breast and pasta n i want to cook a meal. I'm probably going to the store on the weekend to get any ingredients I need. Anything i could add to make a better meal?
I usually cook my chicken like pic, with garlic and salt. Any ideas what kind of sauce i can make that goes well with that?
Slice open chicken breast to make a pocket. Be careful not to cut all the way through, flatten out a bit if necessary.
Stuff with crushed garlic, finely chopped mushrooms, goats cheese and spinach.
Wrap in streaky bacon, wrap again in pancetta.
Oven bake at 200c for 30 mins.
Discard pasta, it's for fags.
Serve with asparagus, and a white wine jus.
Picked up my first bottle of ZU the other day, and I'm on the fence. It's okay for sipping in small quantities, a little too perfume-like for my taste; don't think I'd do it in a cocktail.
What's /ck/'s opinion?
Put it in the freezer. Shots.
Other than that:
Muddle cucumber & lime
or Mojito with zubrowka (Zubrito)
shake/strain martini glass
makes a nice caiprioska
My bottle of honey has reached it's best by date. I know I can keep using it but I would like to use it quickly. What are some ways? I have around 24oz left.
Did I do good?
I'm doing the food for my little brother's 21st on Saturday and I wouldn't mind some ideas for sides, /ck/.
I'm doing smoked pork ribs with a homemade bbq sauce.
Was thinking of a potato salad with a ranch sauce using homegrown dill and parlsey, sherry vinegar, capers and pepperberry.
What else do you think would be fun?
I'm in Australia and it's starting to get hot out, so keep that in mind. Pic is the ribs I did for last year's Christmas.
Make Chef John's shrimp pasta salad. Quite good and tastes better if made ahead.
Picture extremely related.
Why is this allowed? It's ok if you're an autistic child but any adult who doesn't have the excuse should just suck it up and let their food touch.
I'm autistic. I don't care if food touches.
However, I do like the idea of having my food in easy little compartments. Makes it fun, like eating a TV dinner or having a school lunch.
If that was my plate, I would select different bites and mix two or three ingredients at a time to try out the different combination flavors.
I can dig this not in an autistic way but in a meal-of-lots-of-small-dishes way.
Never had foie gras in my life! Am I missing something out?
It's a relatively affordable luxury. Super rich because it's fatty as fuck. Not exactly something you'd carve on a day to day basis, but it's fun for special occasions. Don't expect it to blow your mind, but it is delicious and worth trying.
