You get a chance to come up with the next fast food trend
As long as it cheap and doable and it manages to go viral you get a shit ton of money what do you pitch?
I'm interested in learning about some of the styles of cooking/eating that vary in different regions of countries. For instance putting marjoram in little sausages over a grill in Nuremberg, cream tea in Devonshire, or drowning a meat pie in green vomit and period blood in South Australia. I'm particularly interested in answers from North America, but happy to hear from everybody
In Wisconsin when you order an Old Fashioned, they ask you if you want brandy or Southern Comfort, then if you want it sour or sweet. Whisky is never mentioned at any time
It's fuckin retarded. When I first moved here I sent one back because I didn't realize this is how they make them here. It's literally a new version of something named for its constancy. Sometimes I think everyone in this state took a kick to the head
What kind of sauce do you usually put on your burger? I usually go with in n out style spread.
I'm making some burgers tonight and got some pretzel buns so maybe a mustard mayo spread will occur.
Find a flaw. Protip: you can't.
Do we call it "mac" because it's short for MACaroni or because it's an acronym for "Mac And Cheese"???
About to have a full breakfast for dinner.
Anyone else do this?
Hey guys is it possible to eat a meal that has neither meat nor carb (such as pasta) and isn't entirely based on cheese?
I don't think I have ever done that before

>tfw love spicy food but my gut can't take it whatsoever
It's just not fair. Even mildly spicy wings make me shit blood, and it turns out I've got GERD, gastroenteritis, and SIBO because of it. At least it's treatable, but still, no more spicy shit. Suffering.
>mfw i've been competitively eating spicy food with my friends since i was 11
>mfw i've fucked my mouth up so much i struggle tasting food at all unless i can smell it strongly
it isnt worth it op
Question for bread makers on /ck/
how do you store your bread after baking it to keep it fresher for longer?
I'm getting back into baking homemade bread, and don't want to have to keep making fresh dough to bake every day. Previously, I'd keep my loaves in an airtight tupperware box, but honestly it didn't seem to have much effect on keeping the bread fresh.
>Away from moisture
Bread bins are a thing for a reason.
Never wrap bread is plastic or put it in an airtight container unless you are freezing it. Bread needs to "breathe". If you store it in an airtight container all you are doing is trapping moisture and encouraging it to mold faster.
A good alternative to a dish towel is to put it in a paper grocery sack.
You refuse to use gas? You claim to have a "good coal game" going?
That's cool, that's cool.
Who breadmaker here?
I've had pic related for about 8 years and it was sitting in the cupboard gathering dust so I took it out on the weekend and made 2 loaves of bread.
I used store bought multigrain bread mix, the first loaf was too big and dense but after adjusting the recipe the second one was much better. Still room for improvement though.
Share your tips and recipes pls. I don't want to keep buying store bought mix if I can make my own cheaper.
Oh I put 1tbsp chia seeds in both loaves just because I could.
I use it to knead dough. I quickly remove the dough while it's in the process of being kneaded, with oiled hands (the machine pauses for a moment every minute, and that's when I strike), shape it with my hands, and plop it in an oiled and cornmeal sprinkled bread pan, where it rises for a couple hours (It's sourdough). This prevents the dough from sticking to the bread-machine pan, and reduces the overall mess.
How do i cook an egg like this? It seems thag unless i stir it i burn it
Well cu/ck/s, I'm juicing on a fast. I'm losing a pile of weight, having only juice I make at home.
Anyone else juicing for meal replacement, weight loss, or extra nutrition? Gimme stories and recipes, also AMA.
Lots of people have heard of juice fasting, but don't know anything about it.
Trolls tell me to eat cum or whatever.
Some ask me about my recipes, or how long I've gone and how much I've lost, like that.
What all would you put in your home made trail mix if you suddenly wanted to make trail mix?
I'd start with chex mix since thats a good base, then add dried fruits and maybe some higher quality nuts that aren't already in there. Oh and m&ms, and maybe coconut flakes. Jerky may even make its way into there.
Check out some different premade varieties of trail mix and recreate them yourself with better quality ingredients. Thats what I'd do if I suddenly had an intense desire to make some up.
Mixed nuts, sweetened dried cranberries, & some good chocolate chips. At least, that's what I'd do if I suddenly wanted to take a hike & wanted a snack on the way, which is basically the only situation where I'd suddenly want to make trail mix.
is poutine a meme food?

Why is French vodka so heavily promoted when it's shit?
Why do so many French vodka brands try desperately to pass them selves off as Russian?
What's your favourite vodka, and is it part of your 'stable'?
In my opinion, Russian Standard is one of the best vodkas at its price point. Grey Goose is just bad vodka in a fancy wrapper. Belvedere is okay but overrated. Finlandia is a bit wimpy. Absolut is an advertisement pretending to be a vodka. Smirnoff isn't worth the price when Russian Standard costs abut the same. Caravan, Eristoff, Ciroc, Balinoff and Poliakov are awful French vodkas.
Many French vodkas use grape alcohol which can cause hangovers as opposed to grain vodkas. Stay away from Ciroc, Idol, Swan's...

>eat disgusting food
wow life sucks
So allegedly these niggas are supposed to not only be edible but also some of the best fish to eat. On top of saving the envioronment and shit because they eat other species
Can anyone on /ck/ testify if this is the real deal or just a meme created by treehuggers?
Would you rather be served something overcooked or undercooked?
If "it depends", specify.
Meat: Overcooked, for obvious reasons. Also beef, since I can eat a well done steak, but not a rare one. A little on the red sight of medium is ok, but anything less cooked gives me the creeps.
Veggies: Undercooked. Overcooked Veggies are just a mess and you could as well just order them mashed.
>ice cream on a burger

Why does America make the best meat dishes?
>Why dont restaurants and bars bring you gloves when eating wings
They are very messy to eat while dining out
I have a very strong aversion (perhaps OCD?) to getting anything oily or sticky on my hands/fingers. I absolutely cannot stand it so I never eat wings unless they're boneless so I can eat them with a fork. I'll eat fried chicken with my hands but I make every effort to not touch anything else once I've started eating the chicken and once I finish then I immediately go to the restroom to wash my hands. If I'm eating buttered popcorn or oily chips like Doritos then I only use my index and middle fingers...
