Looking for pierogi stuffing ideas. Trying to do something other than the typical potato/onion and cheese. I'm interested in both sweet and savoury ideas.
In my experience the stuffing is the most important part of what makes a pierogi a pierogi.
You can add whatever the fuck you want, but then it will just be some kind of generic dumpling (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).
I've been making pierogis for a few years now with my gf and her family and always suggest doing a few batches different, and am always met with NO, these are the only fillings we can make, with only slight variations, we for some reason need to make it like this because this is a family recipe, that we've adapted and are now...

approx. 70 grams of peeled and cooked chicken livers
approx. 0.5 kg boiled potatoes
3 medium-sized onions
Liver also tastes great with raspberries or cinnamon, so you could try that too.
Why do Americans make one giant vat of coffee in the morning and keep topping their mug up instead of just having their morning cuppa like a regular person?
I was gifted some fresh sansho peppercorns recently.
When I was first given them I was told to try one whole, and it was a combination of sticking your tongue on a 9 volt battery with a strange flavor I'd never had before.
I was then told to try drinking some water, which turned out to be like drinking extra carbonated, citrus soda with the sansho still in your mouth.
Now I have a decent sized bag of them but have no idea what to do with them.
What would you do?
I ask you what other kinds of peppercorn there are and what type would pair well with a medium textured fish without compromising the simplistic favor of brown rice?

Hot chocolate thread!
>favorite brand of cocoa to use while making it from scratch
>one big marshmallow or lots of little ones
>best alcohol to add to it
>your own personal additions when making the dry mix at home
>make a cup of coffee
>stir in some Abuelita mexican chocolate
i use just cocoa powder and add in some sugar or honey. then i'll add some spices like nutmeg or cinnamon, cardamom, y'know. vanilla is neat too.
i don't add in marshmallows. sometimes a bit of whipped cream. i also like to make hot cocoa from dark chocolate. just melted in milk.
>order wings from rib rack
>theyre bloody and the hot sauce dripped off of the wings and into the bag so the wings were completely dry
Just moved to Japan and only have one burner.
Any ideas for one pan meals (no oven either)
Simple meals would be ideal.

What types of other foods are like chankonabe? I.E. hearty foods to put weight on people in a healthy fashion
Has anyone tried pic related, habanero raymun? Is it as hot as all the reviews say it is? It's supposedly between 300 and 500 thousand ssu.
I saw it at the store the other day but I'm not gonna bother unless it's actually spicy.
that picture is the seafood version. I had the regular kind the other day and it honestly wasn't as hot as I was expecting. definitely top 3 as far as noodles I've eaten, but it's something you could probably eat normally and not just on a dare. I think the samyang spicy chicken flavor is spicier. I was surprised that it actually had a good fried meat taste behind the heat.
okay, guys, we've had our fun, it's time to get serious now.
what's the best chewing gum?
this seems like the kind of thing only an autistic person would notice
what's the story on this?
Anyone here ate human meat before? Or know of good recipes for human meat? I've already tried human skin and human eyeballs, I tried some thigh meat yesterday but I guess I overcooked it.
