I want to make good food, but I don't have a ton of money to throw around. What recipes does /ck/ recommend?

If you aren't doing dishes immediately after eating then you're doing wrong.
I don't always do them immediately after I eat, sometimes an hour or two later, sometimes if I'm feeling particularly lazy or tired I just rinse them off and leave them in the sink to do the next day.
I never let dirty dishes stack up for days or weeks at a time though.

I'm just getting into cooking and I need a proper knife. Until now I've been using a £2 knife from Tesco.
I have no idea where to begin picking knives out. I'm a student on a student budget, so nothing expensive, I just want it to not be a chore to use. Any advice appreciated.
Is it really bad to serve frozen meals in a resturant? Im watching kitchen nightmares and gordon ramsey always complains about it.
Brought an english guy in my house and he is still sleeping. Do I bring him some tea or something? He was very drunk last night.

yo what the fuck IS yeast? like i know how to use it in recipes and what it does, but how is it made? how did people use it in recipes thousands of years ago? cuz i don't think they went down to tesco and bought some instant yeast.
Didn't have any real ideas for dinner tonight so whipped up something at random.
Chopped organic zucchini and onion fried in Colativa olive oil with a bit of bacon, then added cooked spaghetti. Topped with freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano and black pepper.
It was pretty good, and I had been worried about how well zucchini would work in it.
Suggestions for alteration/improvement?
You should try practicing your seasoning skills on fried eggs.
Fry an egg, cut it into quarters then season each individual slice with different combinations. This way, you'll get a feel for different flavors and soon become a spicemaster!
my dad gave me this retarded dry cookie ingredients in a jar where you have to add wet ingedients and bake it yourself
