Weird, I just moved from Chicago and occasionally posted about how their overlooked burgers were actually really good for fast food. I thought I was the only one who bought anything other than hot dogs, combos, and Italian beef.

Do you guys wants to know the secret to cooking the perfect steak? I can tell you.
Get a slice of the finest steak you can find out your local market. Any market will do. Make sure it's a thick cut. T-bone will do well. Get some olive oil simmering in a pan over low heat with garlic and onions. Let that cook while you tenderize your meet by giving it some soft punches. Not too hard because your don't want to bruise the meat. This is to get the excess blood out of the steak. Next gently rub some soy sauce and ketchup to the steak and make sure it's good and smothered with both ingredients....

I've been hearing lately that dairy milk is bad for you.
In particular I've read it can cause acne, which I suffer from.
Yet I love cereal, coffee, tea etc.
The alternatives I'm aware of are soy, almond, coconut, oat, and rice 'milk'.
Which of those do you think is best? Is there anything else I'm missing? Is it true soy causes gyno in men?
The people saying dairy is bad are the same fucking hippies saying that meat and fat and butter and everything else is bad. Just drink it and stop listening to every little "health warning" that you hear because 99% of them are bullshit based on unproven and totally out-of-context studies.
Has anybody had any luck finding this in stores? I swear they run out as soon as they stock it.

Scrounged up all I could find in the fridge and put it together. Burrito with a bite in it from Taco Bell, fried chicken drum stick, possibly from Church's, a bite sized chunk of fried fish, bite sized chunk of fried tofu, chunk of ham, some fried rice and white rice, salsa and chips. Served with Samuel Adam's Rebel Grapefruit IPA.

I keep dry vermouth around for cooking (and pretending that I make martinis and don't just drink straight vodka when I have people over).
here is a trick, mix it with something else to mix it that way you are just having a cocktail, then make another but add just a tiny bit of mixer, then oh no you forgot to buy more mixer, well i guess a couple sips from the bottle wont hurt and when you realize you finished it open another one and drink a bit. Its ok because we tell people we didnt drink a whole bottle but just finished an open one

I have tomatoes to finish processing (got a good deal on them, I'm happy). Just finished some red fruit jam (sour cherries, cranberries, raspberries) which I'll probably post as a cook along shortly. Mascarino cherries are cooling down. Then I need to figure out what I'm doing with the gallon bag of blueberries my friend dropped on me.

1/3 cup lemon juice
The cranberries were left-overs from last fall's cranberry sauce making. The sour cherries are from by friend's backyard and were frozen because she picked them 2 weeks ago.
1. In a large pot, combine the cranberries, sugar and lemon juice,

ok lemme show you how it's done
Buy some of the cheapest instant coffee (We use that for the frap roast) Then as two tablespoons to your cup
fill the cup a bit more than half way with ice
add some chocolate syrup, darker is preferable
add some chocolate chips and coffee grounds, not a lot
then add a simple syrup (sugar water boiled down) two tablespoons
fill the cup up to just under the level of the ice
then blend until smooth
top with whipped cream and chocolate sauce
enjoy your shit

My meats I have 1lb chicken, 1 lb pork, and 1lb smoked sausage (the chicken is marinated in Mexican spices and the sausage, sadly, is not andouille. I bought ingredients at the Mexican mart)
