Do you work in a restaurant /ck/?
Is Portuguese food vegetarian friendly?
Me and my girlfriend are planning on going there next summer, but she's veggie and from what I've gathered there's a lot of fish based dishes but not much in the way of stuff suitable for vegetarians like other Mediterranean countries such as Spain, Italy, Greece and Turkey.
Or is it okay for vegetarians as long as they have tapas (or whatever the Portuguese equivalent is)?
I'm a vegetarian 98% of the time. But I suspend my eating disorder when I go to a nice restaurant or travel to a foreign country. It just seems like a really bad idea to be picky when you are trying to experience something new. Consider killing your girlfriend.
The thing is, I've been to Greece where even I've disregarded my meat eating in favour of awesome vegetarian dishes like saganaki, spanakopita or moussaka. But it just seems like all there is to eat in Portuguese restaurants is fish.
Hello /ck/, this is my first time on this board.
I would really appreciate any tips for weight gain fitness diet. I'm a skinny guy starting with fitness and i want to eat like a beast a couple times a day.
the reason i posted here instead on fit is that you guys are good with cooking, /fit/ guys only know about weight lifting and protein shakes, not so much about weigh gaining food recipes.
Tell me, di/ck/s..
Does canned food really expire on the printed expiration date? Is this just a myth?
I only ask because I have a can of soup in front of me that expired in July. It was stored in a cabinet above the oven and the bottom is a little rusty. Will this make me sick? My stomach hurts so badly I've been rummaging through the roommates cupboards looking for expired things they don't want. Not trying to steal anything that they are going to eat.
It's probably fine. Canned food has a much longer shelf life than is printed on the can. Eventually the food will start to lose nutrients, similar to how vitamin pills lose efficacy over time.
The rust is a bit worrying, but as long as it hasn't actually eaten a hole in the can, you should be fine. Look inside the can after you dump out the contents, if there is a worrying amount of rust, toss it.
If the food doesn't smell bad, it's probably fine.
If you get the screaming shits,...

Really expiration dates are just indicators to how old it is
Fro a legal point of view its easier to say this shit is gonna fuck you up way before it actually goes bad so there'll be a large buffer zone of when its still good and when its gonna rot your guts out, to minimize the risk of a lawsuit as much as possible
What beer are you drinking?
Im currently drinking Beavertown Black Betty
Doesnt even make sense to me. Either they made an average IPA and wanted something gimmicky to help it sell, or they made a dark beer and decided to put IPA on the front since that meme still isnt dead.
Either way they convinced me to buy it.
I just tried pic related. Pretty good but I wouldn't buy it again. Too thick and creamy
Rate my pasta
i just wanted to prove i'm on /ck/
How does /ck/ make its Mexican butter?
>tomatoes in your guac
>no cilantro in your guac
I made this at my friends bday because he requested guacamole. Some girl there wanted to make it and said she prefers hers with tomato and sour cream in it. I told her it's not even guacamole at that point.
Am I autistic?
God tier, easy, healthy snacks.
I sell pie filling in my little community. It is very popular, especially my apple pie filling variations (candy apple, caramel apple). I've been thinking about making a less sweet, savory pie filling. The type of pie you would top with a slice of cheese. I would add slivered onion and thyme.
Does that sound like something you would eat /ck/?
No. First off, I can't imagine onion and thyme in an apple pie. Second, if you're selling your filling in jars what's to keep it from spoiling if you take away most of the sugar? Apples aren't acidic enough on their own, are they? Sounds like botulism to me.
>80% Vedgies 20% Meat
Yay or nay
Which one should I have?
Making both is too much of a pain in the ass.
How would I make my noodles better?
>tfw feel when u will never swallow this big meat monster
Yuck. The idea that something made from commodity grade ingredients can be made "better" by making the size of it obscene doesn't fly with me. The only thing worse than eating trash is eating a really large serving of it.
TFW when you will never experience taquitos with Whataburger's god-tier salsa.
Can I make risotto with sushi rice or just regular white rice or is this a bad idea? My grocery store doesn't have Roma or baldo rice. I've only made it once before, it was Ok but not that good. I'd like to try again. I have some nice fish stock I need to use up. I honestly am somewhat intimidated by risotto. Thanks.
Get the right rice. Just do it.
related fuck up: I made risotto once. It was coming along great. I added half the amount of cheese that was called for in the recipe, and it turned into inedible cheesy goop. I should have just made plain-ass risotto.
Yes, it works. Done it myself.
You can make it with any rice indeed. You just need to adjust the amount of liquid and the cooking time (it will take longer with a long grain, so you want to keep the temp on the low side)
