Anyone got any experience with steak here? I prepared a rib steak yesterday (looked a bit like pic related) and the meat itself ended up pretty well. However, there were though bits (I guess muscle fiber or something?) and fatty bits all over it, which I more or less had to eat around. What did I do wrong, and how do I solve this problem the next time?
Tough bits were because you over-cooked ever so slightly. Could have been from uneven heating during the cooking process. Did you sautee it using a shitty pan?
Fatty bits are desirable in a steak. They add flavor.
so how do you guys make beef jerky? I personally love this method. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDESuffIWxQ
I mean this guy is great at most stuff anyways but i think he cooks jerky just right.
Why do I always forget to put the toast in first?
> those eggs are SOOOOO overcooked
Piss off, faggots
/ck/ I need your help.
It's Lent so I decided to give up white bread and am currently in a running argument with my friends about the nature of wafers. I want to eat a Kitkat Chunky but my friends think the wafer in the Kitkat counts as white bread, like wafers at communion.
Am I letting my lust for Kitkat get in the way of my better judgement?
Time to Netflixandchill with DORITOS® JACKED™ Spicy Street Taco Flavored Tortilla.
I am totally hooked on the new #DORITOS tortilla.
When a recipe calls for, say "ground pepper", it just means black pepper right?
Are the other varieties called by their color in recipes? Like, "ground green pepper" or so?
Usually yes. But if I like the dish I'd experiment with another type of pepper when I cook it again

How do you cook your fish?
I've been catching alot of fresh fish lately and i've just been rolling them in flour, salt and pepper, either cut into fillets and wings or just whole. Whole is better imo
I've heard of baking them with lemon and whatnot, but it seems kind of bland
you are going to need to employ both broiling and steaming to introduce flavor to the meat and skin. use of acids will also help cook without having to throw it into a stew. you can experiment by alternating between both steaming and broiling multiple times and youll notice it develops in some way every time, similarly to frying multiple times
Australian cuisine, everyone !
Who here has or uses the ninja coffee bar. I recently bought it after my keurig I'm assuming had loose grounds clog up reducing the amount of coffee received by 1-2 ounces or 20% on any other size. Real good cup of coffee and it comes with a milk frother.
Someone wants me to make them liver and onions. Can it be any good or just an old meme? All the videos on it look like shit

>Good foods that are not as good as people say
I just don't get it. When it comes with the dish or its an integral part like guacamole-chicken-pizza its nice. But who are these people that are paying an extra 2-5 dollars to have a little tiny scoop of guacamole with their Mexican food? Its just not that good
The extra cost is that guacamole is a pain in the ass to make at home from scratch. You need specific chiles and the flavors need to meld. It's like tuna salad but with ingredients that are more annoying to procure.
I just had Harissa.
Put huge daubs of it on a flatbread wrap filled with hummus and dolmas. Drank a really nice, spicy ale on the side. It was a really easy meal to make and now I'm feeling really toasty and nice. The only thing that could make this meal better is if you voyar á mes dobles, por favor.
I hope you're doing well, anon.
