ITT: your current cravings
Is it possible to die after eating a single meal?
I don't mean eating cyanide or knives, I mean something so greasy that it can give you a heart attack without necessarily being due one anyway.
Also eating insane amounts until your stomach pops doesn't count either.
What are some food things you do that others might consider elitist?
For example, I go out of my way to get organic eggs from farmers markets, I swear they taste infinitely better.
I go straight to the farmer for my beef and chicken. Refuse to purchase stuff from the store. Partly because it's economical to buy in bulk, partly because I prefer to support local business, and partly because it's a superior product.
With so many methods of drinking coffee/ making coffee why overlook one of the easiest methods. Anyways does anyone here like or drink instant coffee?
How do you flavor this without using salt, pepper, or lemon?
Also is there a trick to getting the skin off? I keep taking maybe 1/2 inch of fish off with it.
Whatcha having tonight? Me? Pic related.
You're not supposed to take a shit on the bananas.
Today we'll be making a simple sausage paella, live from my kitchen. For this you'll need some sausage, onion, garlic, paprika, pepper, carrots, bell pepper, chicken broth, rice, peas and parsley. I'm going with spicy sausage but you can use whatever you like.
I sometimes get an old metal cane and pretend I'm 75. I also during this time EAT like I'm 75. What do old people eat?
My parents are that old. Dad has the 'beeuts and high blood pressure, so they consume little white starch, and don't salt their food very heavily. They seem to live off lean proteins (beef, pork, chicken, fish) and vegetables mostly.
They eat a lot of soup. Old people really seem to like soup.
What does /co/ have for breakfast?
Ribs smoked for 6 hours today using the 3-2-1 method. Rubbed in some KC style sweet/hot rub. 3 hours smoke on weber kettle, 2 hours wrapped in foil with a little butter and brown sugar, 1 hour back on without the foil and last 20 minutes baste in bbq sauce. more pics to come
Pic related. Awesome breakfast and great hash brown casserole
Been having health problems as of late and don't want cancer, so I'm gonna pretty much cut processed meat out of my diet. Problem is, I don't know what to put in my breakfast omelette now.
What healthy meat do you suggest in an omelette? Never really thought chicken breast combined well with eggs...
Anyone else notice that when you put pizza rolls in the microwave, the more you add the more time you need to cook them?
But when I put it in the toaster oven its the same time no matter how many pizza rolls I stuff in there.
Any other quick tips/ideas for college students?
Have you ever stolen food before?
In a way, I use to get free food from supermarkets by buying a cheap bottle of wine, going home and carefully removing the barcode, laminating it, and bringing it back to the supermarket where I would buy more expensive bottles that weighed the exact same, scanning the cheap bottles code. I then would return them for credit and buy groceries that way.
When I was about 18 we were emulating the street punk life with friends. We'd usually steel a big box of recyclables cans and get them to the super market to get money to get booze because we were broke.
Then one friday with a friend, we get to shool early and decide to ditch early morning course.
We got to the liquor store as soon as it opened, stole cheap brandy, but bought beer to look innocent.
Then we went to the supermarket and stole a baguette, some brie, egg nog and salami, but bought some gum to look legit in our loot filled winter jackets.
