Is there anything wrong with drinking milk?
Unless of course that milk is almond, rice, hemp, soy, etc.
Animal milk is not meant for human consumption. It is an anti-nutrient. It actually drains calcium for our bones
Humans cannot properly digest animal proteins, fats, acids, and dietary cholesterol
What kind of sushi do you guys prefer? Any types you guys recommend that isn't typical?
Hamachi belly is the greatest nigiri of all time
Would an american like this cheese?
I'm going to my Grandma's 90th birthday party next week. There's around 100 people going and each family is supposed to bring a dish. I'm not an amazing cook. Probably just mediocre. But I need an idea/recipe of something to make. It doesn't have to be enough for everyone, just whoever wants to try it. My Grandma is polish/German, so anything inspired by their dishes would be a big plus. It doesn't have to be a main course, it can be an appetizer/snack, dessert or whatever. Just something not too hard to make. They usually have sauerkraut/kielbasa...

I tend to bring pasta or lentil salad to gatherings and potluck. Or dessert if you can bake?
Most of my family are Americans and will bring something similar. I should've said that too. Lentil/potato/macaroni salad is probably already going to be there.
Baking is my strong suit though(not amazing but I can do it pretty well).
You now have to kill every animal you eat.
Would you still eat all the same meat? I probably wouldn't eat veal or lamb they're too cute. Ducks are also cute but I'd probably eat ugly ones. Chickens are ez mode, I'd eat them all time. Pigs I'd be ok with killing, and I already kill seafood often so that's no problem. I've never been deer hunting but I think I would try it out if I had to kill all the meat I eat.
Hard mode: nogunz
I have found my new sandwich of choice /ck/
>went to a "hole in the wall"
Mexican restaurant today with my buddy
>literally family owned place where only the daughter speaks english
>ask her what's good
>torta with steak milenesa
Add a little bit of salsa verde and this is a game changer. The meat was cooked perfectly and the sandwich is loaded with fresh veggies
Who /tortas/ here??
Jesus, is this going to be the new banh mi? Uncultured whitebreads owning torta shops selling breaded boars head steak on a Kaiser roll, for $9, and the milk-shitters lap it up and brag on Facebook how much tapatio they managed to slather on it?
Just picked up a bottle of Nordic Artesian water. It has a really good, fresh taste.
The downside is it cost nearly £4.
Artesian water definitely tastes better than regular.
>mfw trying to explain the Europeans that hamburger is a type of meat not just the sandwich
We invented it.
We'll call it what the fuck we like, thanks.
>pic related, you fat, greedy, diabetic fuck.
Why is blueberry such a rare flavor in candies, sodas, icecreams, syrups, coffees, etc?
There are some ethopian coffees, typically out of yirgacheffe, that will smell/have mild blueberry taste.
Any idea how to make pancakes this thick and smooth?
What's for dinner, /ck/?
I'll be having beer can chicken with roasted potatoes and carrots.
Buckwheat porridge with boiled turkey breast, some veggies
Iceland Chicken Fajita Pizza... for £1
Don't worry, it's okay to be jealous that your city's hot dogs are inferior to ours.
Why do people pretend to hate this place?
This thread is for actually useful information that 4kids might not have guessed.
To start, if it smells fine, it is fine.
What's the tastiest cheese?
>be first time in chicago
>they bring me this
What did they mean by this?
Hey /ck/ I currently live in an apartment and going to school. The only source of decent food is fast food (whataburger) it is honestly the only joint that is near me. I eat the burgers everyday and I recently realized that avocado is a topping option. Should I stop eating these burgers? My friends say I eat there everyday and I honestly do. Should I be concerned and look into cooking for myself. Inb4 ramen noodles. Pic related
>Should I be concerned and look into cooking for myself
cook for yourself, burgers have no variety unless you go to some weird ass hipster place (then it's usually too much variety, admittedly done well)
whataburger is pretty great though
Which foods don't sit well with your tummy, cu/ck/s?
> KFC is bad
>mfw your countries kfc only has shit fries and no wedges
I love KFC, but the last time I went I finally got one of these things in pic related.
I'll eat chicken livers, beef tendon, pork necks, and am open to new things, but WTF. No. Just no no no.
I'll be ordering the tendies from now on.
How does Smorrebrod work?
I don't recognise most of the spreads used.
Can we have a central European food thread?
I want to start cooking more of this style of food and I'd like suggestions from people in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, etc.
From what I've experienced the modern style is heavily influenced by the communist era, with lots of simple and hearty meals, but there are also a lot of dishes that were passed down through families from before the communist period.
When I was in Prague, I visited La Degustation, which has a menu based on Modernised version for Czech dishes from the 19th century.
It was very odd, but very enjoyable.
ITT: things that send you into a seething rage when visiting the supermarket.
When the parents have absolutely no control over their kids and let them run wild, touching all the produce with their feces encrusted fingers and dropping the food on the floor or just outright sneezing on it. I just saw this today and immediately walked out.
people literally eat a pound of poop per month through airborne particles, and you complain about some kids fecal fingers on your produce

Is lobster really that good?
it's okay but it used to be poor mans food so there are things that are better like crab, scallops, oysters and vongole. I usually only eat the claws and give the rest to the dog. no poor
>Yeah I'll just have a water, please
Don't tell me you actually do this at resturants
How is /ck/ starting their day?
If you found out that the owner of a restaurant you eat at 2 or 3 times a week once served 20 years for killing a child while drunk driving, would you stop going to his restaurant? Even if you have 10 different things on the menu you would have as a final meal, would you stop? This might be different for me since I have children, and I'm guessing most of you don't.
It depends. Has the owner actually reformed? Is he actually remorseful? Has he stopped drinking? Does he do anything to help the community out? If the answer is yes to all of my questions, then yes, I will continue to go there.
No kids by the way.
>served 20 years
That's a hell of a punishment. I'm sure he won't be getting drunk and driving again, and I'm sure sure he regrets doing that.
post cooking hacks
>put raw spinach instead of lettuce in all your burgers. You can't taste it and you won't get any of that oxalate teeth.
This will not actually make mustard gas, contrary to popular belief.
