I call bullshit. Denny's 'says' they have this on their menu, but a google image search only turns up a few pics.. I called a steak n' shake in my area and they said they couldn't make it until at night because of corporate..
I want one, but I'm not going to Denny's at 1am.. I got a 'day job', and while I wish I had the freedom of a junior in college majoring in sociology, there's no way I'm going to be in a Denny's at the time they 'say' they have them available..
Anyone ever try this thing?
so /ck/, tomorrow I'm taking this really nice girl on a date. I am incredibly nervous (nearly puked before after talking to her online)
I'm trying to put my mind at ease about all facets of the date, so help me out with drinks
What cocktails should I order to seem classy that won't also make me look like a sperg?
So how does everyone store their recipes?
I've got a 3 ring binder with just printed out pages shoved in it and it's overflowing. I recently found a program called Paprika which is actually pretty cool. It has a built in browser so you can paste a webpage and it loads, then you can click a button that "saves" the recipe. I'm starting to try and build up mine with this, just dreading the day long chore it's gonna be to go through my binder and weed out what i want and don't want to import them.
So what's your method of organization?...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
i work in one of the best restaurants
i smoke a lot of weed, so my coworkers too
all the people in this kind of bussines do it and they are really open minded.
even some high social postures clients have invited me to smoke with them.
does anyone here works in a kitchen too?
so i've got a question. If i pour curry powder into a bowl with a can of "great northern beans" and mix the shit out of it and then microwave, will it be edible or am i fucked?
Post your feels, your progresses, your failures.
How was the turkey?
Are you feeling alone in holidays time?
I went to my first AA meeting last Friday. It was fucked up. So many broken people. But A kid my age spoke and said things that I'm actually living.
A tad too religious for my Atheist self.
I went to see the doctor today and got some Ativan for this week withdrawal.
I'm giving it a big chance this time!
Post Sub-Saharan African foods. None of that Arab Berber bullshit.
I want Spanish Rice, /ck/. How do I make it like a true Mexican?
Yeah, that would work. I usually just make some salsa and put like half a cup of it in with the chicken stock as the cooking liquid. I've made it before using just plain tomato sauce as well, but I prefer crushed or stewed tomatoes to get some chunks of tomato in there.
If it's fresh jalapenos you plan to use, I would chop a couple of them up and saute with the onions at the start before you put the rice in, then add the canned tomatoes and stock or water.
What is the best fast food sandwich?
Are there any good Cyber Monday deals?
What is /ck/'s favorite Chinese dish? I recognize that different Chinese places have different dishes and some do them better than others, but what is your go-to?
it's hard picking a favorite, but fried rice is that one item i must always order with every chinese meal.
i usually get it along with some battered and fried meat drenched in sweet and sour sauce.
Why do people think palm oil is bad? Shouldn't it be healthier for you than butter or lard? Convince me it isn't just another case of "it's cheap and readily availible so it's bad!"
Hey /ck/, which herbs/spices (or ingredients in general, but preferably herbs/spices) do you think make a small but noticeable difference in pasta sauces? I'm trying to perfect my recipe for a ragu and I want to find out every little trick
just basic paprika. add 1 tablespoon per quart of sauce.
the taste is so subtle. but it's there. and it improves everything.
where i can i get a slushie with soft serve ice cream on top?
do any major chains have this?
plz don't tell me i have to buy a slurpee at 7-eleven, drive to mcdonald's to get an ice cream cone, then combine the two (minus the cone).
