I just bought a little fryer so I could make chicken wings
Lads, what is the absolute BEST chicken wing recipe? I want to make the dankest wings imaginable.
For me, It's the McChicken, the best fried chicken recipe.
Is pizza a good plebeian food for the working man? Any tips to how to make a one-a-day lunch pizza healthier?
Also, I'm looking to order a pizza stone, is there a difference in quality between pizza stones for even cooking etc?
>plebeian food for the working man?
what does that mean? what does plebeian have to do with anything. You realize that literally everyone that isn't noble or patrician was a pleb? Bill gates is a pleb.
In order to make a pizza healthier you omit or drastically reduce cheese, oil, salt and meat and use more vegetables, herbs, spices and even fruits or legumes.
Removing cheese is the number 1 thing to do.
Okay, idiot noob question about aging a steak.
Do you cut the roast into steaks before aging it? Or do you age the whole roast, and then cut it after it's been aged?
Once it's dead, it can no longer be aged.
You know how like when your grandmother is reminiscing about her dead siblings, she'd say "if my sister were alive, she'd be 82 right now".
Well that's what you're doing. "If my beef was alive, it'd be this age".
Well its not. It's just old fucking meat sitting in your fridge, you weirld little faggot.
It depends, Most manufacturers cut them about an inch thick and, then let them artificially age (look up industrial molding techniques), but the authentic meat-agers actually cover a whole animal in the spores, and cut away the surface, once it's ready
this shit is the most amazing generic cheese that can be purchased from common grocery stores
i would strongly recommend you try it if you don't mind coughing up 5 bucks for a block of cheese
also please note that I do not work for cracker barrel nor am i receiving any type of compensation from them
How should I layer this?
How do you prefer your sandwich layers?
It's back! And just as mediocre as I remember. I got two! Post McRib love here.
Do you like toaster strudel?
going here tomorrow, ive never had any food like this, what get?
Would you excuse a slice of pizza that looked like this just because it came from an old local joint?
Why is white meat the standard in nuggets, TV dinners, cheap renditions thereof, etc. when dark meat is both cheaper and much more delicious?
Where did OP mention beef??
And to answer OP's question, it's because it's more marketable to people wanting "healthy" alternatives despite the fact that they're actually just eating shit.
It's "holiday meal" day at the hospital cafeteria!
Who's /lemon/ here? Limefags need not reply. Share your best lemon recipes.
My favourite ever :
Make shortbread batter (50g melted butter, 1 egg, shit ton of sugar, flour)
Butter a square oven pan and flatten all that batter on the bottom
15 minutes at 215°C
Meanwhile, blend the juice of 2 lemons and some zest with 2 egg yolks, sugar, heavy cream and flour (No quantities cause I'm not your dad) till you got a slightly thick mixture, then incorporate the battered whites
Pour on batter and back in the oven for 10 more minutes at 215
Sprinkle withg sugar, put it back in the oven for 5 minutes
Let cool completely
So I made a stuffed pepper recipe last night, and decided it would be good with steak. I'm poor so I just bought cube steak, which I fried. It was super tough after frying because I didn't bother with a marinade, and so I baked it in the oven for the full hour with the peppers. Afterwards, it was basically a dried out jerky, but had a really pleasant texture and tasted really good. What do you call this cooking process?
It's called cooking the everliving fuck out of something
How do you make it a bit more interesting?
Basically share your:
>ruining a good healthy vegetable with cheese
what a shame
In a bowl I mix a couple of handfuls of cornflakes, about the same of grated cheese and some salt and vinegar crisps (which I understand aren't popular in the us). I break it all up so the crisps and cereal isn't quite so big and then dump in on the top of the cauliflower cheese before baking. It's important not to press it down to much, just a few gentle pats. It makes a fantastic crunchy, cheesy topping.
So, I'm going for my Sommelier certification.
Where do I start?
Any tips for studying?
Any good books or resources?
How quickly can I go through it all?
I'm going for the Court of Master Soms one.
From my understanding, they want you to also have the knowledge before the course.
It's a fast-paced course with a ton of info
I only get one chance to do it for free, I can't fuck it up
My work pays for everyone's first try
redpill me on what vegetables i should eat
likes: romaine lettuce, spinach, carrots, potatoes, lima beans, green beans, peas
dislikes: regular cabbage, red cabbage, kale, pumpkin, broccoli, cauliflower, onion
eat vegetables you like whilst you learn to like the others
brassica vegetables (brocolli, cabbage, kale, brussels sprouts etc) as they are one of the vegetable food groups, as a child/young adult i hated them, now i cannot go a day without including a brassica of some kind
>taiwan friends bring home some noodles
>open then, everything normal
>see the sauce
What are those white filaments?
Well, open minded as i am, added a raw egg and mixed the whole.
It has some kind of dried shrooms also
getting a pizza tonight, where should i get it from /ck/?
my options are:
East of Chicago
and before you say get from local, i live in a place with only one decent local shop and they hate my guts because of a disagreement we had years ago, so they'd probably cum on my pizza if i ordered from there.
If you're getting cheap pizza you should just save your money and go with Little Caesars.
I did order from Dominos last night though but that's because I don't have any transportation.
They have a 50% off pizza coupon right now when you order online.
Embarrassing Culinary stories before you learned how to cook, I'll start.
I grew up very poor and my parents couldn't cook. Typical meal was canned poured into a bowl and microwaved.
I thought pic related was a decoration until I was 18.
>I thought pic related was a decoration until I was 18
for the first three months of living on my own, all kitchen equipment i used were a microwave and an electric kettle. all i ate were microwave burgers, sausages (wieners) and white bread
i was with my gf at a hawaii-themed restaurant, really dark in the place. gf orders salmon, food arrives and there's these lemon wedges so she squeezes that on the lemon. tastes her food and says "this fish tastes kinda weird"
turns out, it was actually orange wedges and that made the taste weird
Is pizza just a cooked open faced sandwich?
Is paleo a meme or legit?
Best way to remove scratched teflon? A local thrift store gives away all the badly messed up stuff. I've tried sanding, it doesn't have much of a grip. I've tried grinding, it takes off too much metal.
Things to do with pork belly?
I just made some stir fried pork belly with a gochujang sauce, and yesterday I deep fried it and tossed it in a sweet soy sauce kinda of creation. I have a lot of Korean ingredients so that's usually my go-to.
Cure it. Mix 1/2 salt, 1/2 brown sugar and put the pork in it. Let it sit in there for about five days. Then take it out and hang it in cheese cloth for at least a week (but as long as you want).
It is the most delicious meat candy.
I made this all the time
Any produce clerks here?
Jim Delligatti, the creator of the Big Mac, has passed away.
Fucking mad scientist found a way to kill people off while profiting wildly
What the fuck is this cereal's problem?
I like how they stuck the word "sugar" in, it's perfect for the American audience because you're too stupid to realise that it's not real sugar and it's just hfcs
No, youre just a fat American, fuck off
Is there anymore comforting than waking up early in the morning and going to your nearest McDonalds® restaurant and ordering a nice warm cup of fresh brewed coffee from the McCafé™ along with a full breakfast to help start your day?
Why, yes! That's going to my closest Taco Bell® and ordering a Breakfast Crunchwrap™ of course!
My dad send me a belgian winter ale.
Since I'm not gonna get BARELY tipsy by myself in my shut-in existence, I was thinking I could maybe put it in some food. what would it go well in?
It describes itself as "is brewed in the style of belgian "cloister style"(perhaps it's called trappist beer in english? Idk). The beer has a nutty-brown color with a beautiful creamy foam
This christmas ale has a complex nose(?), with notes of plums and raisins which ae rounded off with a sweet malty staste, were you fint hints of chocolate and nuts."
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
A beef stew is the most obvious choice.
I use a lot of beers and wines in stews and casseroles . .. . ignore what people say, - DON'T use decent drinkable beers, use cheap stuff.
A Belgian trappist beer is for drinking.
The most patrician nut.
Would you rather have a double cheeseburger combo to last you the whole day every day, or three health food meals every day?
>burger and fries
>last you the whole day
do you just sit on your ass all day? that little food isn't enough for people with an active lifestyle.
three meals a day is where it's at. even better when it's "health" food, whatever one may mean by this
