Just bought Angus, grass-fed boneless Ribeyes. Is it sacrilege to use them in a stir fry? This was my intention from the beginning.
What are some /ck/-approved cooking channels except Chef John and Cooking with Dog?
I present to you, /ck/, the sloppy joe bagel.
So i've decided that instead of cooking a whole turkey for thanksgiving, i'd buy four turkey breasts. What's /ck/s favorite turkey breast recipe?
I can't stop eating them
What does this imply as far as my life in general?
I didn't know they were a thing and discovered them at the grocery store a few weeks ago. Went through the entire fucking can in one sitting, my lips had actually pruned up from the salt.
They're delicious op let yourself succumb to the sodium
Banh mi, banh u, banh your mother
what's your favorite filling?
What is your favorite type of canned Chef Boyardee pasta /ck/?
Chef Boyardee was invented in a restaurant called The Ship Lantern Inn in the Hudson Valley of New York. They have old cans of the food decorating the eves of the interior of the restaurant. It's food is beyond sub-par, their BoH staff is all Mexicans and FoH staff are a disgrace.
While the Patriarchial Foglia was building the restaurant he branched out and helped fellow Italian immigrant...

Why does /ck/ celebrate thanksgiving?
How can you not understand its such a filler holiday? We've conditioned ourselves to believing we need to dedicate a holiday to stuffing turkey and ham into our mouths
Why would anyone glorify a holiday about obesity and overconsumption. Shit like this is the reason we try to get to Christmas as fast we can.
1. The food is amazing and it's always fun to prepare dishes as a family
2. It's a great excuse to drink from Wednesday night through Sunday evening without reproach
3. Football, football, football
Because it's fun you dumb bitch, are the moron that posts /b with the little girl asking why for everything all the time or are you just the dumb frog poster or are you both the same?
How bad are refried beans for you health-wise? I love them so much for some reason.
The beans part is fine, the lard part is problematic, possibly sodium as well. Overall, the calories are reasonable compared to a lot of other shit you could eat.
I always buy traditional refried beans, but you could go with the vegetarian/fat free variety if you must. Jalapenos add flavor without calories. Refried black beans are also good.
>salt and pepper are all you need
This is wrong, and you know it
Is there any reason not to buy these by the truck load?

First time poster in this board
Does /ck/ actually cook or you just talk about stuff you eat and want to eat ?
Post pictures of the last recipe you did. I want to see them
Pic related is mine (éclair au chocolat). Not very beautiful but I think they will be good
I made some eclair cake the other day
Pinterest tier recipe is just graham crackers, instant pudding/cool whip combined, and canned chocolate frosting.
I made the pudding from scratch and added whipped egg whites to make the filling lighter, I was kinda surprised it stayed light after resting too. And I made the chocolate with good cocoa powder and dark chocolate. Pretty easy and tastes pretty good, coworkers loved it.
Everyone says I'm weird but I've always liked eating sliced peaches with chicken. They just go together somehow.
Anyone else eat weird food combinations?
Whats the secret to a good bolognese sauce?
You got the original ragu alla bolognese recipes, you got xxx-country - meat sauce recipes and more variatons.
Some suggest red vine, some white. Some want you to put in milk, others beef broth and/or carrots/celery. Some only use salt and pepper, while others use bay leaves and oregano.
Honestly, the best bolognese sauce always must simmer for a long time. Really my number 1 requirement.
As far as garnish that sets it apart, Adding some basil is a great thing. I add thai basil though, I like the flavor more and I have a plant.
