I have some leftover wine from cooking yesterday.
Since I don't like drinking white wine, I could use some help coming up with some white wine dishes.
I'll start off
Mussels with white wine sauce
4 cups of rice and 4 cups of pinto peans
what do i add to it, /ck/?
goin' with what i got, kids
both cans on left or both cans on right
Is chocolate milk good for you?
Yeah this. OP's picture is misleading, tons of brands of chocolate milk have way more sugar in it than apple juice. Maybe some plain fucking cocoa and milk has less sugar, but that's not the same thing.
Truly, a greasy cheeseburger with cola is the pinnacle of food and drink.
The one and only heroin of food and drink.
>tfw be a burnedout NEET
>stealing bux from parents to feed my cheeseburger addiction
>tfw no Burger Anonymous near me
>tfw getting more obese by the day
Is seltzer water healthy? And does that include 'flavored' seltzer water like pic related?
Tuna Just went on SALE, should I stock up? Recipe Ideas? Price
>enjoi ur mercury xDDD
Just so we can move across that topic as soon as possible.
Who here is a fan of feijoada? I'm really craving some right now, need to make it in the next few weeks. It's pretty much my favourite dish from South America.
Is there a candy more sour than toxic waste? I find them more sour than warheads but they still arent really that bad.
I'm going to have my first authentic taste of australia at the Outback Steakhouse, m8s.
What should I order?
i havent been there in about 16-18 years but as a fat kid i loved the place, the bread and butter was good, id get a salad with 1000 island shit was cash, and i dont know if they still have it but toowamba pasta, it was basically seafood alfredo but damn good, i hads the prime rib too it was good.
LAst time I was there they had a seared tuna thing that was kind of pricy but very good. It was a nice steak of tuna served rare, had a nice crust on the outside and came with some wasabi sauce. Not exactly Australian but it was better than most of the other stuff on the menu.
If fish isn't your thing they make a decent steak.
Is Chef John from Foodwishes.com a meme? Or does he know his stuff?
He's legit. Out of the many, many websites I've gone to for recipes Food Wishes has never done me wrong. The dishes always come out tasting good and don't require many, if any, modifications. They're simple, easy to follow, and are accompanied by videos which only lasts minutes but give you everything you need.
Next to Epicurious it's my favorite recipe site.
Hes literally only famous because the entire video focuses on food and if you follow his recipes the way he does them you will have a tasty meal, even if he makes sensical substitutions to dishes hes less familiar with.
He's the pan we deserve, but not the one we need.
Mirepoix (French) - Celery, Onion, Carrot
Soffritto (Italian) - Celery, Onion, Carrot, Garlic, Parsley
Sofregit (Spanish) - Tomato, Bell Pepper, Sweet Onion, Leek, Carrot
Suppengrun (German) - Celery, Leek, Carrot, Parsnip
Holy Trinity (American) - Onion, Celery, Green Bell
Recaito (Puerto Rican) - Onion, Cubanelles, Garlic, Cilantro
The holy trinity is French. Much of Louisiana was settled by Acadian exiles from the East coast of Canada during the Seven Years' war. Most cajun cuisine is heavily based on Aciadian/French cuisine.
Favorite ginger drink?
Stuff makes my stomach feel great and relaxes me.
This stuff is really great, just finished one with dinner, just the og one
Glenhiem is pretty good too, but this one is fruity in addition to being spicy.
How's natural brew's ginger ale? Their vanilla cream was really good, just saying.
Shit's the best. I love that extra ginger. Cock and Bull is nice too, good for mixing because it's a little sweeter.
Anyone had straight ginger juice? Been wanting to get a bottle to keep for tummy aches and just to have after heavy meals. Also because I enjoy the taste and the warmth a lot.
If you're looking to experiment, second ferment ginger bug is the best.
You can also use water kefir as a substitute with ginger added for flavor.
Just be mindful of containment if one of your bottles blows.
So /ck/, what's your excuse for not funding beer made from the lactic acid bacteria of a woman's vagina? Too much of a pleb?
What are you eating?
Pic related, pan seard chicken in pho and chinese wine soup
I made some meat and don't know what to do next. Any ideas?
Anyone else notice that Snickers has put less peanuts in their chocolate, and smaller bits of it at that? What was once the most delicious candy is now just a borderline milky way bar. I wish there was a way to stop companies from doing this jewish shit.
It hurts when I pee, will this help at all?
So I thought Saffron was supposed to make food yellow.
Here's a paella I just made with it after doing the dish with Tumeric for years.
After being badgered for my use of Tumeric in Paella forever, I fail to see what the Saffron adds.
1. It adds barely any yellowness to the visual presentation, compared to tumeric.
2. The flavor, as far as I can tell, is kind of unpleasant; it reminds me of dropping flower petals in your food or something.
3. WHERE IS THE YELLOW????
Honestly, I hate to hate on such a prestigious spice, but this...

Ok folks, just bought pic related. Someone instruct me.
What should I do with it? How much do you use? Is it like hoisin? Should I use it in combination with other sauces?
You can only eat 2 things together for the rest of your life, choose.
Example: Olive with a piece of cheese
should I have a beer or a root beer
So I really enjoy making the tomato sauce from Good Eats (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/pantry-friendly-tomato-sauce-recipe.html) despite the fact that its pretty damn consuming it always turns out well. But all I ever put it on is spaghetti and meatball or very rarely on home made pizza.
What are some other good dishes I can use it in. Don't mind something thats time consuming and especially looking for dishes that aren't Italian food but I welcome those as well.
A lot of recipes call for tomato paste as an ingredient (currys, other sauces,) you could use your sauce instead and it would come out even better.
Chicken parm is yummy.
You use a recipe for tomato sauce?....Wanting to use tomato sauce in not italian food?... m8 my italian senses are tingling. Get it together.
Make a ton of gnocchi and freeze it. Gnocchi napoletani. Meatball subs are pretty good too.
who /detroit style pizza/ here?
Don't mind me, just posting the Calzone. The objectively superior cousin to pizza.
half way through my second week as a bread delivery guy.
ask me anything.
I want to explore mexican food.
Can you guys give me any tips and recipes?
They're big on snacks and street food. While they have deep home cooking and high end cooking traditions many popular dishes are borderline junk food (but still very tasty).
Cuisine varies regionally in a big country with a variety of influences. Norteno cooking is different from Oaxaca or Puebla cooking. The variety of influences in the food of Mexico City ranges from Spanish, Indigenous and Austrian to Indian and Lebanese. Don't approach Mexican food as one cuisine - it is many. What...
