Is there any discernible difference between Becks and Budweiser?
Hello, I recently realized that I've moved to live in a country where pickling things is very popular but I myself know fuck all about pickling. So I'd like to start learning pickling myself. I did a bit of googling and thought pickling garlic cloves would be fairly easy. I picked the following recipe:
250 g garlic
1 dl oil
1 dl apple vinegar
What do you think of this? Also do you have good ideas for pickling carrots, I think carrots are delicious.
What is the single most versatile cooking vessel one can have?
Why won't the kettle chip meme die already? Who even thinks they're superior to regular old thin chips?
Welp, I've been forced out of neetdom and had to get a job and my own apartment.
I have no fucking food in my fridge, but through hard and gay work, I have 200 dollars to spend on pantry and fridge items.
What should go on my grocery list, /ck/? And for when times get desperate, what should go on my poorfag grocery list?
What's your typical haul from the grocery store every other week?
I'd figure out what meals you plan on eating for the week. You are going to need to start acquiring condiments and spices and baking shit. So buy what you need for specific meals and eventually you should get stocked.
What should I expect? Also its in a really classy , 10000 a month , assisted living place. also its a no smoking enviroment. Any tips?
You make 10000 dollars a month and you want to know what the job is going to be like?
>"agnes, why are you blowtorching kraft cheese slices onto every plate?"
>"have you heard what they fucking pay this guy?"
you scrub,y ou get wet, you use the big dishwasher, and if you're lucky, you get rashes from soap.
dishwashing is easy. it's not really miserable work either. just listen to music and work fast and it'll be ez
What's the best brand of maple syrup?
r8 my deep dish
Is this the thread for rating mass produced easily purchasable groceries?
Yo, /ck/r8 my chip.
I've always wondered who buys anything from Little Caesar's besides the $5 pizza. $10 is too much for their deep dish disaster. Here I can go across the street and get In-N-Out or Papa John's for less than $10.
Turkey or Veggie Burger
>Not showing the comparison constituent quantities
>Gauging your vegetable content from the vegetable burger and not the vegetables you have as sides
I know vegans are morons who love bullshit propaganda but dear lord.
They're calling it "Sweet and Spicy Chicken" because they fear the flyover moocows in Ohio might have negative reaction to anything that sounds Asian.
I'm gonna eat my first vindaloo on friday.
I'm not big on hot food. I was at indian restarant once (7years ago), ordered something very hot, and thought I'm gonna die.
Can I prepare somehow?
ill say it i am impressed.
$6.00 USD you get a small but fresh not frozen burger which i can only assume is charcoal grilled. 2 sides and a drink. It is a lot of food for the same price as shit tier nationwide Fast food chains.
Cook Out is a privately owned fast food restaurant chain in Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Maryland. Wikipedia

Here is the basic menu. Again a lot of food for little price. I had the chicken wrap and fries. I believe the fires were the "fancy" skin on kind but are frozen. The Chicken wrap is a frozen breaded chicken tender with shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce, ranch dressing wrapped in a flour tortilla which was unfortunately ungrilled.
I found the burger to be very similar to what you would get a a typical American backyard BBQ or tailgate. For our forgien friends we Burgers confusingly refer to cooking outside on a grill as barbecue and smoking meat with a spice rub as barbecue (with or without sauce).
I posted this a few days ago, but nobody gave me any recipes, only ingredients.
I want some nihongo no recipes (that's Japanese for Japanese recipes for all you baka gaijins out there).
I can already make ramen. Give me something interesting (or as the nihonjin would say, "omoshiroi").
Anyone going to try this tomorrow?
The Angriest Whopper features a flame-grilled beef patty, thick-cut bacon, American cheese, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, crispy onion petals, jalapenos, mayo and spicy angry sauce between a red bun that has hot sauce baked in. The Angriest Whopper will be available for a limited time only at participating Burger King locations and has a suggested price of $5.49 or $7.49 in a combo meal with small drink and fries.
hey amerishits now that Mexico is into muh microbrewz and the govmnt is relaxing the laws of micro brewing are you on suicide watch?
Cuz you now, we make much much better beer than you (indio, corona, negra modelo, bohemia, xx ambar, noche buena, chope, victoria)
How do you eat these?
There's always one or twelve free spirits who give replies like, "however your heart tells you to," but really, how do you eat these?
Anyone else fucking love watching little old ladies cooking on youtube? I fucking love it.
does preferring to cook with chicken over beef make me less of a home cook?
what i mean is that beef has more cuts, as well as being able to be eaten without being cooked all the way. but i'm more likely to grab a chicken filet out of the freezer if i'm cooking for myself tonight. also no, protein/MUH GAINZ has nothing to do with it

What is wrong with gluten anyway?
but vegetables more so. 40% increase in colorectal cancer actually
but why is that?
well because in order to compensate for the lack of fatty acids the body takes in, it needs to make use of what you are putting in to it. The result is an inflammation response to vegetable oils which as we know
So, I noticed I have a jar of mayonnaise i my fridge and I don't want it to go to waste. What should I do with it?
I'm not that familiar with its uses, so what do you recommend?
What information should the /ck/ sticky contain?
>a highly intelligent gentleman who is picky about quality and value
>often looking for a delicious new lunch spot
>try Burger King on a whim
My friends I tell you, it was one of the best meals I have had this year. The crisp vegetables mixed with the moist and hot broiled burger. The cool soda, the hot and crunch fries, totally blown away.
I was able to get a value meal for $5.99 and they even complimented my shirt. They don't let black people touch your food and they also have ice cream.
Head on down to Burger King today and get yourself some good mood food. You won't regret it!!
i tried those like 2 months ago because i didn't know they brought them back, and they were the most disappointing thing i've ever had at burger king. dry, expensive for the amount you get, and doesn't taste like much on its own
What's your favourite kind of frozen veggies? How do you like to coock them?
I usually just throw them in a pan with olive oil and garlic and use some soy sauce or tabasco.
(I know i should get them fresh but i like to keep frozen as backup if i'm too busy)
frozen green beans. every day for months i would fry them in a pan with olive oil and garlic, add canned tomatoes, paprika, salt+pepper, lemon, then add some couscous and hot water to the pan and let it sit before eating. fucking delicious but im over it
Broccoli is pretty good. It may have been blanched, and you're probably going to cook it. This destroys heat sensitive myrosinase enzymes that turn heat stable glucoraphanin into the antioxidant sulforaphane which is also heat stable. You can bring its sulforaphane content back up to that of raw by eating it with some ground mustard seeds.
I just learned people microwave Bacon. Do you do this?
What's your favorite way to do steak? I'll usually season a tenderloin with salt and pepper, sear it for 3 minutes on each side, pop it in the oven for 4 minutes at 425F, then take it out and baste it with Dijon mustard and let it rest for about 5 minutes. Perfection.
Not a fan of Sirloin steak, without a good sauce, a flavoring or fat, it doesn't taste like much.
I like Ribeye steak the best. Flavorful, meaty, juicy. Best in the west like they say
How do I cook this? I don't have any curry roux, so I can't make the best curry in the world (Japanese).
I have no clue about pots or pans. Please link me to a good one or name one for the following
-fry pan or skillet, they are the same thing right?
-all purpose pot, for soups or things like chili
-some sort of oven safe pan, to transfer seared meats to the oven
Also maybe elaborate on the generally trusted brands for such things?
I've had these for a year now, they still aren't broke. Would recommend.
Do you guys really eat vegetables by themselves? I won't even touch them unless they're french fries or surrounded by meat, patty, and cheese.
>tfw you realize the "its good on anything!" meme was a marketing strategy by Huy Fong Foods
>tfw you finally try it and it's pretty good
