Instant ramen noodles taste better than fresh noodles.
Do you like orange juice with or without the pulp, /ck/?
I'd love to hear what you think cuckoldry has to do with orange juice pulp.
anyone here like to cook, not lazy, can cook, not poor, knows about nutrition, loves food, but just does it simple? i know chef ramsay says he has oatmeal and coffee every morning. am i jaded?
As much as I like being organized and having a carefully choreographed morning routine shaped through countless iterations of trial and error, I could never stomach the idea of eating the same identical food every single day.
That's just depressing.
Control issues. If you live a life where you take on lots of stress and feel out of control of many things, food is one thing some people find they still have control over. This might be the only measure of order and control this person has in their life
Bonus points if it's one that professional chefs still believe.
>searing seals in the juices
>you should only flip once
>the alcohol all cooks off
>stirring a pot makes it heat slower
>deseeding peppers takes the heat away
>you shouldn't salt eggs before cooking them
>a huge pot of water is better for pasta
I've heard all of these from TV personalities and professionals, fairly recently. Are they really all false?
1st one makes sense, Maillard reaction doesn't really form a barrier, it just concentrates fluids
2 never made sense to me
3 I always heard that MOST of the alchohol cooks off, which is technically true
4 Never heard that one, makes no sense, in fact I feel like the opposite is true
5 Yeah probably false
6 entirely a matter of opinion for how you like eggs,...

Best deal in fast food?
Where from or what brand? Home-cooked or bought? What spices, sauces or other flavoring?
Just made turkey meatballs out of 500g turkey mince, 1 half diced onion, 2tsp chilli powder&coriander. But when I fried them in some olive oil and ate them I found they tasted a little earthy maybe due to too much coriander, problem is I've already made the fuckers and I don't know what to do bout the others I have in the fridge that I was gonna eat tomorrow, how do I cover up the flavour or change it. Shall I just murder it with sauce?
What type of meat goes best with baked sweet potatoes and how would you season/cook it?

Starting the day off right with some soda and a coffee. It doesn't get any better than this my friends.

Are plantain any good? What can I use them for?
You have to wait until they turn black until you can really do anything with them. I mean completely black. Some fuzzy white mold will start to grow but that's ok. It's on the skin. Those green ones in op's pic will be ready in about three months.
I just can't fucking do it. I'll eat almost any vegetable but this goddamn fruit sickens me to my core. The sickening tang, the aborted baby aesthetic, the mush texture, fuck tomatoes, and fuck you /ck/.
Do you like it when it's dried? It's a nice and tangy/sweet sauce component when it's dried and ground up.
Also, it's much less watery if you get roma tomatoes, cut a little off each end, and then make one cut down the tomato cylinder you made. Once you toss the core and minimal juice, you have a rectangle of tomato meat. This also works with bell peppers for slicing them quickly. Now, use the rectangle of non-fetus-looking fruit in your sauce after chopping it up.
Is this the best that sausage can ever get?
Hey, /ck/ I was looking to get my mom a nice set of knives for Christmas this year. Any recommendations?
Budget is $300-$500
Not that it's any of your business, but it's my last year in college and I've just accepted a job offer with a pretty significant salary, spending $1000 between my two parents, who dropped far more to send me to school debt free, as a way of thanking them is something I'd like to do. If you actually have a recommendation I'd love to hear it.
>tfw wendy's chili was actually p good
Kind of surprised tbqh. I expected to try two or three spoonfuls before giving up and throwing it in the trash.
Hey /ck/, I'm an Ameriburger and I've never tasted or smelled a durian before. What are they like? I hear some people find them disgusting, others think they taste quite good?
What are some other interesting fruit that aren't terribly popular in the U.S? I've eaten rambutan before, they were alright.
>I hear some people find them disgusting, others think they taste quite good?
Fellow Ameriburger here. That's what I heard too. I bought one from the Hong Kong market on Bellaire in Houston. I was expecting it to be either the greatest thing ever or the nastiest thing ever. It was neither. I found it very "meh". Wasn't disgusting but wasn't great either.
Bro tier friend gave me a fresh bottle of Durian juice last year for my birthday two years ago.
It smelled like warm spices such as cinnamon, and tasted absolutely amazing. I wish I could have it again but apparently it's a huge pain to strip and juice durian, which he only found out after he asked a coworker if he'd do it.
I want custard apples and have no idea why they aren't commonly available in California.
>Rag pudding (also known as Rag pie) is a savoury dish consisting of minced meat and onions wrapped in a suet pastry, which is then cooked in a cheesecloth. The dish was invented during the 19th century in Oldham, a former mill town in Lancashire,
Why is England disgusting?
