what is the longest i can leave chicken in a buttermilk brine?
when the gibbous moonlight sits betwixt the mellow sparkle of mercury and the starlit band above, but just before 3 counts until dawn greets the morning. Only then will your poultry be truly prepared for stew
This is the best crust ever
Is it a viable technique to use one of these for gravy?
I was at the grocery store last night and they had an amazing deal on these croissants covered in doughnut glaze that taste exactly like you'd expect them to and you get 8 of for $2 and anyway, I grabbed 5 boxes and as I was checking out the cashier said "Going to a party, huh?" and I was like "haha yeah" but the party was just me eating 5 boxes of glazed covered croissants alone
Anyone know of good coupons/deals on delivery pizza? I'm on the cheap this week.
Going to the Asian market later today, looking for stir fry sauce. Wich ones are good? What else is good to add to my shitty food?
OK weebs. I bought this, how should I eat it?
What do Japanese people normally do with it?
How do I make healthy donuts?
Canadian here living in Vancouver.
So what went wrong?
I haven't been to one in years, how does CiCis compare to other chain pizzas (IE Papa Johns, Dominos)?
It's fucking disgusting.
I used to enjoy it as a kid in the late 90's, so I went there for nostalgia's sake a couple years ago.
I piled up my plate with pizza, sat down, took one bite, and fucking did a 360 back out the door.
You know something's up when the price is barely any more than it was 15+ years ago. They're cutting those costs by skimping on ingredients.
>went to the pizza place my dad used to work at
>owner tells me funny stories about my dad
>then he gives me free pizza and fries fries
I had a great time.
What's proper etiquette regarding food stuff and alcohol left after a party? Had some people over left night and a bottle of rum and a moderately expensive bottle of whiskey was left at my house. Do they belong to me now?
Pic related, the whiskey in question.
Yeah, that's usually how it works. If someone brings something to a party, it's considered a contribution. There's nothing wrong with taking it home at the end of the night, but you're essentially doing a walk of shame out the front door.
But you know your friends better than we do. You could always inquire. If everyone was drunk, they could have forgotten it and had intended to take it home with them. If that's the case, they might appreciate you breaking the ice.
So, I'm in the middle of cooking up some of pic related and I have a question
>saute peeled and diced potato, red bell pepper, and apple in gochujang
>add remnants of your jar of Kimchi, a scored bird's eye chili, and cover with dashi
>cover and simmer until potatoes are nearly done
>adjust broth with fish sauce and honey
Should be pizza slices be big? Like really big?
Late breakfast time! Today's entree: bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich.
Let's get started.
Got the eggs ready. I don't mix them with milk, I crack 'em open right into the pan.
Progress takes time. So does bacon, if done properly.
These are actually pieces I cut in half so they would fit in the pan better
>forget to bring a bag
>they only have plastic bags in the grocery store
>have to add it to heaping pile of plastic bags in house
No more plastic bags where I live. If I forget my shopping bags, I have to take them out in the cart and just put them in the trunk. Doing that a few times will make you remember to bring bags. I'm fine with the no plastic bag policy, though, those things are a menace.
Only buy what you can fit into your pockets.
>grocery store I usually go to stops selling plastic bags
>take my business elsewhere and make sure to buy a bag every time
Fuck eco fascism

Does anyone here cook?
I had to cook thanksgiving dinner and so I scrambled a bunch of recipes from nytimes (which were really good). I really want to get into cooking.
I don't want to just be house mom-tier but I can understand if that's where i need to start.
My current idea is to maybe continue with NYtimes recipes, some gordon ramsay youtube videos, and get Metamorphosis of Taste as a guide.
agree. great recipes can be found for free on the web. Get a skills based book.

How do you make the perfect egg, /ck/?
I hate crispy edges.
Set stovetop to medium/medium low, put butter, add eggs, and cover until the yokes are starting to firm up. Add salt and cumin and serve on whatever I feel like.
I am currently at a trendy Indian restaurant. Ask me anything
Do non-whites seriously think spicy is a flavor or that it enhances flavor? That's like white people claiming pop rocks is a flavor.
