I accidentally left my ice cream out overnight and when I found it in the morning I noticed that it hadn't melted AT ALL.
What the fuck kind of preservatives and chemicals are they dumping into ice cream to prevent it from melting?
In fact it looks like it was cut with oil and it's seeping to the surface.
Is this even ice cream anymore?
>want to go get fast food
>will either get pulled over or get hit by a drunk driver
Not sure if they have them everywhere yet, but in Texas they have places you can call, or apps you can use that will send people to go get food and do other errands for you at pretty much any time of day. They probably make most of their money around that time. https://favordelivery.com/
The one I linked because it's well established in my area and people are always available but I know there are others out there. A cursory glance at their locations shows it's mostly only in Texas, but in a handful of other places too. I'd be surprised if you don't have a local analogue wherever you are.
My parents are getting Bob Evan's for Thanksgiving
What am I in for?
I got this cheap bowl at a Japanese event and want to know if it's microwaveable safe. Can someone help me with this?
(BONUS: If you can tell me what it says at the -20C and 80C that would be nice too.
Gee anon, maybe it'd help if you took a picture we could vaguely tell the material from. From the picture it looks metal and surely you're not dumb enough to ask THAT question, right?
What does /ck/ think of my traditional American cuisine dinner?
Hi - I'm bringing a fully-cocked spiral ham to a Thanksgiving party tomorrow but the oven will be in use there.
My question is:
Can I warm the ham at home and drive it over (20 mins) and let the ham sit at room temp for maybe 3 or 4 hours until dinner is served?
They are traditionally served at room temp.
if not - what are my options here? I really don't want to make everyone sick...
This is one area where a slow-cooker can excell since it can maintain the ham at a decent temp and the ceramic crock has enough thermal mass to keep it at a decent temp during transport.
Throw in some sliced apples to keep the moisture content up so it doesn't dry out.
What are you cooking for your family on Thanksgiving?
I'm bringing four pies.
There's 26 people from four states to feed.
What do you love about pizza
I'm an eurofag who moved to america this year for work, been invited to a friend's family thanksgiving tomorrow.
What should I expect?
Turkey+Stuffing (or possibly honey-glazed ham)
If they're extra-traditional, people might "give thanks" for the things they have (only to spurn that and go on the world's biggest spending spree the next day, on Black Friday).
In a way I'm glad my family recognizes that we hate each other so we just get really drunk and watch football after making some non-thanksgivingy dish like gumbo or hummus and kebabs.

Eat a little of everything offered and compliment the host and/or cooks. Bring a bottle of wine or some other small gift. Smile and nod. Do NOT discuss politics or religion. Offer to help with the dishes.
What homecooked dish do you enjoy/miss most from your childhood?
Making pizza from scratch for a large group of friends this friday, I usually cook for my friends (5-6 people) but now im stepping up my game to 11 people.
What should i think of when cooking for large groups of people? Also whats the best pizza topping combos?
What can I do with a tub of cookie dough besides baking it? Baked two batches of cookies, what else can I do with this shit?
I'm drunk and fucking starving so I'm going to drive over to Waffle House since we can all agree it's god-tier food for when you're dickered. What should I get? Both or bar?
>I'm going to drive
Are you drunk or are you buzzed
Because if you're fucked drunk you should probably drive to the local hardware store instead so you can buy a rope to fucking hang yourself
rate my dinner
Did you guys eat this shit as a kid too?
>order a medium steak
>it comes out rare
Fucking tasted like wet dog. It took all I had not to gag after every bite.
>Not enjoying a rare steak.
>Literally making the cook burn the meat.
>Not knowing how to enjoy the coppery finish a rare cut of fine meat has.
Going to get a Mcdonalds breakfast (UK) in a few hours, lads. What should I get?
Guys, I bought some steak this weekend and left it out in the bottom of my bag. Today will be the 4th night it has been lying out at room temperature... it's dry and cold (heat on) where I live. I planned to cook it on the pan... is it ruined now?
CAN I STILL EAT THIS STEAK SAFELY IF COOKED?
Who too lazy to cook or go out for Thanksgiving?
what are you making anon? I just found out I'm gonna be alone for thanksgiving so I've been brainstorming a nice meal to make for myself tomorrow
right now I'm thinking a chicken mushroom white wine cobbler sort of thing
>yfw you realize veganism is a privilege of the first world.
>yfw you realize cruelty is a necessity for survival.
Everyone says that once you start eating healthy fast food will be disgusting to you.
Yet I started cooking myself, with fresh ingredients, avoided all sweets and snacks, soda and only ate at proper restauraunts.
After months of this I went to McDonald's when nothing else was open. And it was delicious.
What's up with that?
I think your last thread was deleted because mods thought it belonged to /fit/, which I disagree with.
>Everyone says that once you start eating healthy fast food will be disgusting to you.
Nah. Some people will need a lot of denial and lies like this to maintain a diet. I see this among vegans for example, "wow this really tastes like meat !" Just stick to your own feelings and experience and you're golden.
former fatty here
while im now an actual human weight, theres nothing that really tingles the tastebuds like fast food
people just mean that it makes you feel gross afterward, i personally usually get bowel troubles, but have felt stomach pain, bloating and and general lethargy after eating fast food nowadays
I made some pancakes
but I have no one else to share them with
i didnt get stuffing when i went shopping, any basic recipes for it?
How do you "get" stuffing at the grocery? I've literally never heard of that. I always make it.
Saute some celery and onions in butter until soft. Add mushrooms a few minutes before done. Add chopped fresh sage, thyme and rosemary at end along with cayenne if you want a bit of heat. Add day old bread cubes, mix and moisten with chicken stock. Not too moist, you don't want it soggy. Add some salt and pepper. Add meat of choice. I use a couple pints of oysters with the licquor. Browned sausage...

Anybody else here Rally's/Checkers? Ever since I was a kid it was my favorite burger place, burgers better than McDs and probably the best french fries in fast food
What do i do with these?
Why must I be a millionaire to afford this? Is there anywhere I can buy it for a more reasonable price?
Uh.. they're fuckin' crackers.
It's not even good crackers, and that's a Sysco brand (I looked it up) so they're free to call it whatever they want. They can be as goofy as they want, because at the end of the day it's just plain old saltines and nobody cares where it came from or who made them because every brand tastes the same.
What was the worst food related experience you've ever had?
ONE TIME I WENT TO A DINER AND ORDERED A SANDWICH AND THEY BROUGHT ME POTATO SOUP. I WAS UPSET BECAUSE I REALLY WANTED THE SANDWICH SO I SLAMMED THE BOWL ON THE COUNTER AND WALKED OUT IN A HUFF.
i drank a glass of expired milk once when i was hammered and spent the next few hours throwing up and shitting until i passed out on the bathroom floor with shit not wiped off my ass
