Howdy /ck/ first time ever posting here. I'm having late night pizza cravings but only have two sauces, buffalo and ranch dressing. What's the /ck/ approved buffalo:ranch ratio? Personally I'm a 4:1 buffalo to ranch guy because of muh spice but I wanted some professional info.
Start with a little ranch and then add buffalo sauce until you like it.
Little Caesars buffalo ranch is my favorite pizza chain sauce tbqfh senpai, maybe tied with PAPA Js hydrogenated oil and garlic shiznit.

Does /ck/ have recommendations for good documentaries about cooking or restaurants? I've seen everything Gordan Ramsay has been in and of course Jiro: Dreams of Sushi. When I search for similar documentaries, I end with a bunch of shitty vegan propaganda movies.
Not a documentary, but Marco Cooks For and its predesscor show were really great. They removed them from YouTube and is basically impossible to find. It follows a young Marco Pierre White back at his days at Harvey's.
How many hours after a power outage would you think perishables in a fridge would need to be tossed?
All unopened, I had shredded cheese, cartons of egg whites, packaged sausage, Greek yogurt, and milk in the fridge for about 9 hours before I tossed it outside where it's 20 degrees.
The government (foodsafety.org) says toss that shit after 4 hours but growing up in my house we never tossed food from 12-24 hour outages and never got sick.
Even at 30 degrees celcius room temperature, I feel safe keeping my fridge turned off for 24 hours as long as I don't open it. Above 30 celsius I leave it turned on at all times. Never gotten food poisoning from anything I prepared at home, but I'm a reasonably young person in adequate health.

Why does pizza taste different when eaten with a knife and fork?
This has vexed me for almost 30yrs. I first discovered it at a mall food court my mom took me to. She was eating her slice of pizza with a fork and I tried it. It tasted different then when I just lifted it up and took a bite.
Pic related is what I'm drinking right now, and I was just wondering...what is it that makes most macrobrews taste so much worse than microbews? Is it the ingredients? The way it's made? Why is so much beer that is produced on a large scale not good?
By the way, I'm not an elitist snob, I'll drink whatever like I'm doing now. I was just wondering what you guys think
