I found this pepper jelly and another jar of jalapeño strawberry jelly in my basement. I canned it in 2012. Is it still safe to eat?

>general rule of thumb is 1 year till degradation starts
>3-4 years is generally still safe
>things are different for every food/how it was canned/quality of canning
>if it still looks OK, crack it open and smell/taste it, if you don't hurl its still good
