“The first to go was our ignorance. For even our greatest and wisest could not have foreseen that ours was a story told a hundred thousand times or more. None could have seen that terrible red corpse city, and it’s inhuman masters, whose exhalation was death. The next to go were our laws. The tablets of our old prophets were ground to dust and the law of the Bright Queen was raised in their place. It was a molten law, an absolute law, and touching it brought swift and painful death.
In the end, creation itself was stripped from us. Wolves in the shape of men and things more awful belched forth from the fiery wound in the sky. They had iron boots and smooth fingers made for rubbing gold, and their bellies were always empty, and full of cruel and inhuman laughter. They ate up all the Ardenwood, and stripped it bare, and then they slurped all the rivers up, and the hills were scorched with acrid smoke. The valley dells where the beasts of the wood gathered were ripped asunder, and the beasts were ripped into a million parts and sold piecemeal to make women’s trinkets.
As for our kings, they were gelded and flayed. They were treated no better than the beasts in the end.”
– Excerpt from Age of Fire, attributed to the sage-poet Avsa Galman. Said to be an early account of the conquering of his world by the god-queen Mother Om.
This show represents everything that killed CN, shitty uninspired designs and artstyle, zero character building, zero story, lol so random xDDDD "humour"
prove me wrong
alright /co/, what cartoon series (barring animated movies) would you consider the absolute pinnacle of western animation from both comprehensive style, writing, voice-acting perspective? pic unrelated
this, not even trolling
Over the Garden Wall. Nothing else comes close.
I'm glad it won the Emmy for best animated series (beating some heavy hitters to do so) but it should have been up for best mini-series as well.
Saw the first five episodes.
What do you guys think?
It's funny at times, but the dad is so unlikable, it bothers me. I always roll my eyes at the opening sequence where he goes from a happy teenager to a miserable adult, especially since he always blames other people for his fuckups.
Then it has that whole "miserable marriage" trope I hate that's always in The Simpsons and Rick and Morty.
what's the deal with the kid in the diaper? Is he supposed to be a toddler, or is he handicapped? His posture and tiny legs throw me off.
love Bill Burr
love this show
can't wait for the next few episodes
The kid in the diaper is easily the worst part. I hate looking at him. He's the result of inbreeding.
I'm watching it with a friend. I like the continuity, but the characters are hard to root for. The joke is that they're awful, but then I just want to see them fail. But then the show wants me to feel sorry for them. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia features asshole protagonists, but it works because you aren't supposed to like them or feel sorry for them.
Let's discuss this game.
So how far in are you guys? Have you unlocked The One True Morty yet?
That's about it, you just beat Ricks and level up Mortys. Right now I'm just trying to get my dream party and then I'll just leave the game until an update comes along or something.
Apparently you take two Mortys of the same kind to the daycare, and you'll get the evolved form.
I feel like I'm making no progress in the game, because all my resources go into health potions and shit, and it all gets used immediately.
What's The Joker's endgame?
I've never truly understood his actual goal. I know it' not just purely chaos and madness, but as an outsider to comics looking in, that's honestly what it seems to be.
Why is this allowed?
Thanks Netflix editionf
Who remembers Bob and Margaret? this show was comfy despite the nudity, swearing and Canadians
Can we have an /ss/ thread or do we have to pretend its something else?
I don't like sad Dina.
Me neither, but it had to be said. Its good to know she was somewhat aware of what was going on and this didn't hit her like a ton of bricks.
Leslie started off as a rebound character in short-packed so there is at least some hope of things going well.
>inb4 Willis sucks crew
Its time for one of these
I am the only one who hates Joy? Hedonistic bitch.
You can hate her all you want but you and I both know she is the one pulling all the strings in your head and you cant escape it.
GO ON ANON BE HAPPY BE HAPPY BE HAPPY BE HAPPY BE HAPPY BE HAPPY
I don't know anything about this character. Can someone storytime a good issue? Would appreciate it very much
Read the magazines, the comics while some are better than others never really got the right tone
>Show is almost 26 years old
>Probably won't be getting a blu-ray/HD remaster anytime soon
Is this the beginning of a new epic meme?
Fun fact: Tiny Toons was partially animated in Japan so it has the "dirty film" look of 90's animus. Just look at the intro.
