Let's face it, western animation is full of furries.
Rule 3 says there can't be any posting of anthros on 4chan
Where's the middle ground? Is it just not allowed to be overtly sexy? What if the character acts "sexy" in the source material? what about furry comics and webcomics?
We would be allowed to talk more about anthropomorphic characters if it didn't attract super autists that will post endless pictures of their waifus circlejerking about how great they are while begging drawfags to draw them, completely ignoring any discussion about the cartoon/comic in general.
>how deep Jack is going to invade into France.
when I read Jack I instantly thought of OW THE EDGE
As long as it's comic and cartoons related, I suppose anything is fair game.
As long as nobody goes out of their way to spam porn with/without spoilers.
if it is even remotely sexual its too furry.
Only a Sith deals in absolutes
There are more than a few exceptions to the "no anthers" rule on /co/, mostly important or contemporarily relevant cartoon characters. For instance, Bugs Bunny gets an exclusion (as long as it isn't porn), as do the merry melody and loony tunes crews, and classic Disney or Hannah-Barbara characters, because they have historic importance.
Likewise, Tuff Puppy, those mouse detective girls, Howard the Duck, and Callie Briggs get exclusions as "contemporary" cartoon characters.
But "mods are asleep post X" type crap shouldn't fly here or on any board.
In summary: as long as the mods remember that cartoons can include funny talking humanoid animals, and the denizens of /co/ handle these funny talking humanoid animals responsibly, those characters can safely dwell on /co/.
Bastardising the language isn't very knightly.
Mods prune stuff kind of arbitrarily, which I think is what OP's going from. He's not going to get a straight answer, though.
There's no straight answer to this.
As far as threads getting deleted I've seen waifu threads get deleted for somewhat clear reasons and I've seen clean threads talking about anthro characters get deleted
As far as Webcomics go, like one anon said, we've talked about Sabrina Online and Vicki Fox before. Although the later is clean as hell and the author made sure of that.
Then there was the Las Lindas threads. Those usually vary on what's being posted in them. Someone dumped the whole main comic and side stuff and the threads were fine. And the new strip stuff would either hit page 10 or hit the bump limit a few times. Pure cheesecake stuff got the boot though for obvious reasons.
It really all depends on the mods and janitors and what's being posted in the threads.
Despite the fact that half of co and v are closeted furfags, it's still taboo to even talk about anything even vaguely anthropimorphic here, ever since redwood came on,and ever since more normal/tumblrfags invaved v.
Anything with anyhro characters is inflamattory, and the OP usually know this and is trying to get
>400 posts omitted click reply to view
through a guise of "oh,we're just talking about the show or webcomic or whatever, nothing furry about it ;^)"
Both sides to this do equal amounts of shit flinging, and yet anything vaguely anthropimorphic or related to animals in any way is still shunned.
here's how it works
if you post rocket raccoon, you're fine
if you post thundercats, it gets deleted, unless it's a thread devoted purely to hating thundercats
but that's because janitors delete anything they don't like. especially threads about specific characters or specific types of characters
>tfw got banned for posting lewd Rebecca Cunningham in a thread specifically for her alone.
Biased Janitors aside.
I think talking furry related stuff, while fun and I'd love to do at times, is something that just can't be done in a place like 4chan as a whole. Sure we can post the porn and talk how edgy and ridiculous some of the content can be, but we don't do it with a passion real furries have, sad truth it is as most times I wonder why we don't, then we see all the hell it brings when Anti-furries and furries clash, then it becomes not about the content really but the people surrounding it and spirals down from there, which is why we have sites like u18chan to be dedicated to such things.
TLDR: I don't hate furries, yes some can be down right weird and annoying, but every fandom isn't perfect. I still keep up to date with most web comics, even jack though it has been on hiatus and god knows when it will come back.
P.S the best furry related web comic I've ever read probably goes to Kit and Kay Boodle. Freakin hilarious.
>Kit and Kay Boodle.
My memories foggy but I think I dropped it around time the super smart bunny daughter that was conceived through the anti-time/space zone started talking.
Shit's more convoluted than homestuck.
I...what? I've read Kit and Kay and I don't remember that.
Yeah that's the one, it's not even that compared to some stuff you would read else where. Hell of read countless stuff on Fakku so it really doesn't phase me anymore. It's the dialog I find adorably funny.
