>Simmons Did Nothing Wrong Edition
Welcome back /co/! Agents of SHIELD is all new tonight.
"Who You Really Are"
>Coulson and team come to the aid of a confused Lady Sif, who has lost her memory after fighting with a mysterious warrior whose true mission will send shockwaves through S.H.I.E.L.D. Meanwhile, Bobbi and Mack continue to hide their true mission from everyone close to them.
>Where can I watch the episode?
Both of these were recommended previously, and should be airing the episode. If you find another streaming site, please let me know and I'll make sure to recitfy it in future discussions.
Episode airs in about 45 minutes.
>What else do I need to know about the show?
Agents of SHIELD is now is now in its second season. Recently, the main character Skye was revealed to be an InHuman, along with the introduction of the Terrigen Mist and other InHumans into the MCU.
>I've missed an episode!/ I have no idea whats going on but im going to post anyways!
Good news! We have a handy dandy pastebin located here:
The pastebin has all sorts of neat stuff like a link to previous episode discussion threads, info about eps, social media accounts and a link to a site that has previous episodes so you can catch up if you've missed any/are just joining us now. If you end up missing the ep or you live in yurop/aussie/whatever, someone uploads the episode usually less than an hour after airing so just be patient.
The "Art of Level 7" last year has restarted again, and you can check the album of the artwork over here: http://imgur.com/a/vVANf
Here's a sneak peek if you haven't seen it yet, in which Sif BTFO a guy in portugal.
(March 17th) "One of Us"
>Cal seeks revenge on Coulson by assembling a team of Super Villains to destroy S.H.I.E.L.D. Meanwhile, May calls on renowned Dr. Andrew Garner (Blair Underwood), her charismatic ex-husband, with a crisis that threatens to tear the team apart.
(March 24th) "Love in the Time of Hydra"
>Coulson and his team are still reeling from a shocking revelation that leaves the team fractured as they must decide what to do with one of their own. Meanwhile, Bobbi and Mack reveal their true allegiance to Hunter, while elsewhere, Ward and Agent 33 embark on a personal mission
(March 31st) "One Door Closes"
oh god I could see them doing this and it not ending well for either of the characters
I'm looking forward to Thor/Sif pairing after Natalie Portman drops out.
I am as far beyond racial slurs as you are beyond childish insults
I wonder how Jaimie Alexander feels when she's barely in the Marvel universe. It's going to be how long until Thor 3? She shoulda been Wonder Woman.
Haley Atwell really lucked out by getting her own show.
>Skye vs a Kree, an Asgardian, and SHIELD after the break
>skye has powers
What an earthshattering revelation
Skye, you are not a weapon. You are who you choose to be!
So, Marvel's dedicated to the whole Inhumans business.
Kamala on AoS when?
>I wonder how Jaimie Alexander feels when she's barely in the Marvel universe
She was unhappy about getting cut out of Thor 2. The children's hospital visit in costume cheered her up and now the chance to be on AoS as the guest star
These days, yeah. Plus doesn't involve paying an actor to sit in a chair for 4 hours while makeup is applied, then taking it off, on top of actual shooting time.
You'd be surprised what most actor's representation negotiates, just to get their 10-25%.
Nick aint coming back, I bet it's Mariah Hill or AIM
Is Giga Nigga gonna wipe his memory with that Kree mallet?
>tfw he molests his unconscious body first
That weapon is really dangerous. I bet Fitz would have a ton of uses for it... ;^)
>"N-now we're even Gemma..."
Asgardians hate the kree. It's possible that Loki would hate them too.
Or he'd know what could be unleashed if the Diviners transform a bunch of humans. They'd probably overpower any of Loki's forces if he tried to go after Earth again, or just generally cause havoc if they get off planet.
I'm guessing if the Kree come back for them too, that'd be a big problem in Loki's hands.
He never gave Coulson his answer. So Kong will just say something like he said he needed some time off to think it through, Mockingtits can back him up, while he's introduced to whoever they work for.
>call their science magic.
In MCU, it is "sufficiently advanced" enough to be, and may very well be a blend of both advanced technology and advanced magic.
In the main original Thor comics it -is- magic.
well we don't know yet.
They're not HYDRA, and it seems unlikely that they'd be working for Fury considering that they tried to get Fury's Toolbox.
Mack just ko'd LimeyWard so he would stop asking questions, but by not killing him...he's still gonna have questions.
Unless it just so happens that Mack and Mock got their hands on something that could make people forget stuff.
Nah they think they are doing the wrong thing for the right reasons
As it turns out an international spy agency that's been active for half a decade then suddenly dissolved thanks to a large portion including most of the upper echelons will be filled with people of moral grey area
When May and team first went to get skye when she was an infant, they almost died.
When they tried to get her in the pilot, Peterson kidnapped her and almost got everyone killed.
It's not that they're connected its that "wherever skye goes, death follows"
it seems that may might have been implying that Coulson dying was related to her involvement with Skye when she was a baby.
she's got pretty decent tits but it depends on her outfit and the camera. sometimes it seems like they're not as big, so they may be a padded bra, but they're still relatively large on their own.
1-2 There is an Inhuman that can see potential futures and is pulling strings
1-25 MODOK exists and is secretly orchestrating everything to ensure proliferation of extreme alien technologies.
1-250 Supreme Intelligence is on Earth and wants out
1-500 Victoria Hand is a vampire, and still undead
1-1000 Nick Fury is a Watcher and is interfering constantly despite his oath not to
This season is definitely moving a lot faster, which is nice. I like that they are driving right into the Inhumans stuff and they don't seem like they'll spend too much time stringing us viewers along for the Mockingbird and Mack stuff.
That and actually memorable stuff. Next episode has me hype.
shes good, but she aint that good. also Mockingbird is borderline superhuman in her skills.
Daisy Johnson was trained by Fury and outside of her powers was supposed to be better than both. Which is why she had a higher clearance than Fury when she debuted
They are already revealing things. In just this episode alone:
>There is "backup"
>already had Hunter confronting Mack
>Mack losing it and making brash decisions.
Shit is already rolling.
A-actually, you know what...i dont think Morse has ever been called "mockingbird" or even referenced being mockingbird on the show.
Promotional materials and stuff have mentioned it, and WE know she's Mockingbird, but I dont think she's ever used it on the show.
well apparently he was "the man on the wall" so maybe not. i thought it was a neat idea, leaving someone he trusted at shield while he went underground who could actually DO something to help keep shield in check, and wasn't just another level 8 schmuck.
Because the show lacks relationship drama and the slice of life that people expect. A big problem with the show is that Arrow exists. People on /co/ went in expecting another "everyone is a comic character and super powers everywhere" and didn't get that so they dropped it after they didn't get what they expected on top of the messy first half of the first season.
It's still doing well Flash get's way more response here but the Agents has about 1 million more in live viewer numbers on average.
Plus it doesn't help that Agents is all overarching plots so the show is much better if you watch in 3 or 4 episode stints or just marathon the whole thing at once
what we know about Mackingtits
they plan to 'pull the trigger" on something related to Fury's "toolbox".
they dont want lance around when it happens, but they still hope to be friends with him after its done.
Mack is afraid lance will kill them if he finds out even though he loves Bobbi.
Bobbi wanted to bring Lance in on it.
What is it?
HYDRA is out and you have to think what organizations would even know the toolbox exists
It's gonna be Mariah Hill since they need something to do with the character since she probably won't be appearing in another movie until next year
Zabo is the best villain the show had since Garrett.
Hill is in Age of Ultron.
Based on what we know (It's not HYDRA or Fury, and they had a flash drive with some information or code on it, plus schematics of the Playground and they're trying to get the files off of the Toolbox), i think the likely candidates are:
If Tony somehow learns that SHIELD is still around, he'll want to know whats going on. To be honest, that'd be fucking amazing if they have him show up like "what the fuck Coulson"
She could be working as a liaison to Stark or the government and trying to keep tabs on what Coulson is doing. Could also be jealous that Coulson got the Director position from Fury instead of her.
May not trust Coulson fully, wants intel on whats going on inside their base. Two inside people are better than one, and "Pulling the trigger" on whatever to destroy the base would make sense.
>Widow, Cap or Hawkeye
Widow would want to stick her nose in whatever a SHIELD is doing, same with Cap.
Hawkeye I think would be the best candidate for this, as Renner not only said he was wearing the suit for something he couldn't talk about (after filming Ultron), but he'd be an easy person to make an appearance to tie the universe together, plus it'd give some background on what he's been doing since the first avengers movie
we don't know.
I guess that would imply that there was more than one person, maybe an organization.
although hawkeye being "the backup" would be kind of funny.
they didn't really explain much there, it just fueled what ever device he needed to not turn blue
this is code for
>the makeup department couldn't be assed to actually give him makeup
Anyone else think Ward's plotline for this half-season will be based on the collapse of Hydra leadership?
He may not be loyal to them but he knows where most of there bases are as well as who a lot of the second in commands to the heads are.
Agents is establishing Inhumans as the main B and A lister source of powers for the MCU, not as a carbon copy for mutants but just as a middle ground between guys like Hulk and guys like the chinese guy who can cast fireball from season 1.
The actual Inhumans Movie is going to be about Attilan and the Royal Family, hopefully AoS will establish a lot of the minor inhumans so the fans can be familiar with the concept and can go "hey I remember that guy" when some of the AoS inhumans get a line or two in the movie.
whoa whoa whoa what if the plot of inhumans is like xmen. they protect the world that their persecuted in. And they fight either bad inhumans. Or kree after they find out that the terragenesis project worked and they need more soldiers since their getting their asses handed to em by every other race in the universe.
He's like the Penguin of SHIELD
Why would Marvel Studios want to shoot themselves in the balls with an X-Men clone? It's a given they're going to focus on Black Bolt's crew, so if it's going to rip off anything it'll be Game of Thrones in space.
Every episode yeah
How did you not notice considering most talkback threads have the art as the op image
>They aren't gonna force people to watch this show to get that film.
They spent a whole season and a half ramping up the Kree and introducing Inhumans into the MCU. Basically if you want to know how or why by that point you will need to have watched AoS.
Having only seen the first Ep back, everyone acted like a collossal asshole.
Fitz had a "you killed people you bitch" to someone who was clearly freaking out, Black Simmons went all insane crap on Coulson, Simmons went all "I hate superpowers and shit and superpowers are responsible for the Battle of New York not SHIELD scientists treating them like a danger like I want to".
I'm glad this season is moving so much "faster" than season 1...seems like most of the "what is the secret" plots are only drawn out over a few episodes. (Yes the mackingbird plot has gone on a while but at least it got serious this episode)
Season 1 think about Centipede, Skye's history, What is Coulson...all that shit lasted way too long
>loki is disguised as odin
>heimdell tells him a blue bastard landed on midguard without permission, loki knows odin knows the kree are general space assholes
>its the odin thing to do to send someone to retrieve the kree
its not that big of a deal or hard to imagine
Commander Adama is coming in soon, as a high level SHIELD operative according to an interview Clark Gregg did recently. Odds on McBobbi is working for EJO and that's why they're after Fury's toolbox. For as it is written; "Whomever holds the toolbox wields the power of SHIELD."
It'd explain why the pair of them have been questioning Coulson's leadership and involvement with all the alien shit since they came in. They (and their boss) don't think he's fit to lead the SHIELD remnants in the right direction.
Sounds like it. Especially if they are going to say the other Diviners are the reason for Quickass and Wanda's powers.
ESPECIALLY especially if either of the two cause super mega huge world damage in AoU.
Am I wrong to assume that maybe Loki is not Odin 100% of the time?
What if he was just there when Odin wasn't and he uses that power minimally to remain hidden in Asgard until it's Ragnarok time?
I'm sure it would be harder for Loki to fake being Odin all the time than to deceive everyone into believing he is just some random guy and changes every other day
I like the theory of a government agency or SWORD as many people like to say
if I were to take some guess, since Hydra is rebuilding, the conflict is going to be some other group that thinks Coulson is too soft
Now that we have actual Kree on the show, I want Mar-Vell.
I want it I want it I want it.
Just... one episode set at Cape Canaveral. Dr. Walter Lawson, Carol Danvers, Kree Sentry #459. Please. Pretty pretty please.
I mean, Marvel/Disney/ABC's setting up The Inhumans movie already. They can set up Carol Danvers' Captain Marvel movie sometime soon, right? Maybe season 3? Guys?
Especially a low-ranking Kree with a mere truncheon.
Grand High Accusers get a huge fuck-off Universal Weapon and poor little Vin-Tak just rates a truncheon. What was his title? Vin-Tak the Announcer? Vin-Tak the Tattle-tale?
Probably would have shat bricks and sent all the Warriors Three had it been a re-cloned Ronan.
