Heh, we've actually fallen off the board before making a new thread. 3rd for Ukraineanon becoming the greatest
freedomfighter of all time
Two kids are sent on summer vacation to live with their great uncle, who runs a tourist trap in a little town in Oregon. They start finding supernatural creatures and weird shit around the town and have fun saving the day and/or escaping the monster of the week.
Reminder that Stan is terrified of his likeness.
Bill Cipher's moist, warm vagina.
not enough marius/grenda art
so here's one
How many do you think died, /gfg/?
Also, I wonder if we're actually going to see another episode revolving around minor spooks or if we are now in full-blown crisis mode until the end of the series. I mean, how is Bud Gleeful going to run for mayor in this pile of rubble formerly resembling a town?
...what if the people of Gravity Falls turn into a post-apocalyptic mob with Bud as their leader?
I'm thinking Lazy Susan Soos' abuelita and Mayor Befufftlefumpter
Lazy Susan was outside while buildings were being torn apart and sent to the sky, Soos' abuelita and Mayor Befufftlefumpter because they're even older than Lazy Susan and all it would take is a brick or two landing on their heads
When the gravity went back to normal you could actually see someone fall all the way down to the ground. I'm pretty sure that person is dead.
Also the mayor probably also died to move along the "Bud Gleeful wants to run for mayor" plot, which will probably end with him releasing Gideon from prison.
>Also the mayor probably also died to move along the "Bud Gleeful wants to run for mayor" plot, which will probably end with him releasing Gideon from prison.
Plausible. In cartoon logic mayors can do that.
This is the same universe where you can marry woodpeckers and can legally own a property if you have the deed, so anything's possible.
That's all the info Alex gave us. He has no control over Disney's retarded scheduling.
>An earrrrly early brainstorming image done by series director Matt Braly way back when we were planning season 2. A lot has changed since them, but some key themes remain. Love this composition!
reminder that
they were trying to rid of Bill Cipher from their world and trap him in the dreamscape
it's all McGucket's fault
What if Bill didn't start out as a mindscape demon, and was trapped there?
What if Bill is actually from the future and a relative of Dipper's who travels through time just to mess with Dipper?
>Remember that time Wendy said she knew about your crush on her?
>IT WAS ME DIPPER, I TOLD HER ABOUT YOUR CRUSH!
Did you guys hear about GF March Madness?
Or if you're a paranoid fuck like me through here:
The law charter for Gravity Falls was canonically drafted by Quenting Trembley.
Honestly, I would be surprised if the document doesn't include something about beating the mayor in fisticuffs to become the new mayor.
Wait a second.
Mabel and Dipper.
Mabel is five letters, Dipper is six.
5 + 6 = 11.
Mabel is related to Stan.
Stan is four letters.
4 + 5 = 9.
11-9 = 2.
Mabel has two eyes.
Dipper has two eyes.
2 + 2 = 4.
Bill has three sides.
4 - 3 = 1.
Bill has one eye.
Dipper Twins = Illuminati confirmed.
The truth is out there.
There's also not enough Thompson/Love God fanart as well, especially the lewd kind.
>people wanting Soos to die instead of him having a close call and have a happy ending with Melody and a son that looks like him
Let's play a game gfg. Take turns contributing one word to this thread and we'll see what kind of sentence we make. Don't samefag. I'll go first
Any chance some lovely drawfriend could do a version of this with Dipper and Mabel?
Remember when people theorized Melody worked for the FBI and would arrest Soos?
>Bud Gleeful runs for mayor of Gravity Falls
>Something something if he wins he can close the Mystery Shack down.
>Stan runs against him to save the shack
>Instead of having an election, the law requires competitors for mayor in Gravity Falls to fight each other in gladiatorial combat
>Bud and Stan end up knocking each other out and Toby Determined is somehow the only one left standing.
I finally did it. I have caught up with the series. I think the last episode I watched before I marathoner was like, the fucking ice store one. The website I use doesn't include names so I'm in the dark on that front.
>wanting a neutered Yuno Gasai instead of the real thing
So do we have any theories on the keyhole in the elevator shaft yet?
They're barely based on anything. The less insane ones are that it's the meeting lodge of the ROOTHM, or a connection to the bunker.
Then there's the people that think that if you go there alchemy can turn you into a magic dream dorito
Just got around watching the episode.
Why would he write the warning not to use the device in the invisible ink? Shouldn't an important warning like this be written normally (why keep the pages in there anyway)?
>Trembly's favourite colour is triangles
>Bill is on the -12 dollar note
Trembly and Bill are in cahoots!
Also worth noting, Dipper apparently interviewed Rumble off-screen. Either that or he summoned him again just to get an interview.
>yfw the finale is something predictable
>yfw Bill Cypher is simply evil and wants power and Stanley wanted to stop him
>yfw no twist, nothing
is there another comic like this?
other than mister cipher one
Found on /r/gravityfalls, what does /gfg/ think of this? Personally I think it's spot on.
Calling it now, like everyone did with Stanley MONTHS ago.
Why are Soos and Mabel smiling here?
I'm sorry anon, I'm a bit of tard myself. What do you mean? Stan is pretty alive. What I get from this is they made the car crash to cover up Stan's twin brother dissapearance into the portal by faking his death.
>Car plate is STNLYMBL
It could be that he named the plate after his grand kids. STaNLeY and MaBLe possibly. Therefore meaning dipper's real name is stanley. Not my theory but someone else's
The name was purposely wrong as a clue that Stan had a twin. Why would it be named for Dipper and Mabel? Why would he randomly get a new vanity plate when this is their first time meeting? This sounds like a 'Stan has no twin, it's just future Dipper' theory that was proven wrong with 2x011
nope, actually most likely an error. Especially when Soos is giving Stan this look
Headlights look the same though. Besides, why would Alex mention the car if it would be completely pointless? Mcgcuket saying he hit a car is important. Caption: welyp
Yeah, that was mine, but with Twin confirmed it doesnt really make sense. Alex said the liscense plate was a clue for twin theory, meaning that if it needs to reference one of the Hunkles.
Who's waiting for the Hirsch to go Anno (all the theories and imagery is made just because it looked cool) or go full Kojima (surprisingly good story that can unfortunately go full retard out of nowhere at any moment and troll us)?
I can't either anon, especially the final scene. I keep watching and watching.
>Mfw i've been so obsessed over rewatching this episode and discussing theories, lurking /gfg/ since episode, and /r/gravity. Mfw when i've been getting lack of sleep and putting off my essays because of this. Mfw all i've done this week is gravity falls stuff. Mfw it's only been 5 days since the episode aired and we have until summer for the next episode.
>mfw my friends don't watch it
>mfw no one at work talks about the show except about inane shit (that fucking dress, reality tv, top 40 music, 50 Shades Of Grey when the movie came out, Nicki Minaj's fake ass)
At least, my 2 nieces watched the show and they were as pissed as I am about the hiatus/shocked about the ending.
>Mfw one of the few reasons I'm not committing suicide yet.
had to do format change
Obviously Alex is the one with the problem since he's made such a brilliant show that can be over analyzed (and include fan theories). This show is amazing.
same here anon. It's so good. I've seen it so much I know the last 3 minutes line for line.
I've rewatched the final scene at least a dozen times. It's amazingly well executed. Plus that sweet, sweet vindication.
same anon here. I only have 2 friends that watch it. One I don't really talk to that much anymore, and another one I talk to every friday. Still have yet to talk about it with my 2nd friend. Actually like talking about it with anons
I'm not. He's godlike.
I want to cum inside Alex Hirsch.
Dipper might still distrust Stan, but I don't think he could ever turn his back on Mabel.
>the author of the journals...
I started having weird dreams after Northwest Mansion Mystery. No, not weird shit about Pacifica, but like I had a dream where a girl actually liked me, and a different one where I actually kissed a girl. I do not know if my neet level is increasing or diminishing. At least it is not another dream about high school I guess.
I've been trying to get my animefag friend to watch it but he won't watch it because "tumblr cartoon"
nothing is more funny than talking about Frenchime with anime nerds and walking their faces contrort
Ah, the glorious art of highschool slice of life/comedy starring cute girls and only cute girls with no plot whatsoever.
>Kill La Kill
It's not the worst thing in existence, but it certainly ain't no
>tfw there's little to no GF shirts
>tfw the ones I wanted from that shirt contest with Hirsch as a judge already sold out.
>tfw not shirtpunch is even making any GF shirts
Also, debating on getting 1 of these 4 GF shirts, what do you suggest?
Why would we need the President's key to open that door? Did you guys miss the fact that the owner of the shack is back in town? I highly doubt that seeing as the elevator and portal room were built that they wouldn't know what's between them. It's going to get a callback, but that wouldn't really make any sense
The artists who've commented on it so far seem to indicate that they did a lot more keyframing during the final scenes than is typical, probably because they wanted to make sure it came out as good as it did.
Some things you can't trust to a "fill artist"
I like KLK, but that scene with satsuki and her mom made me sort of resent it at the same time. WAY unnecessary and gross. definitely could have established she was really bad in a different way.
Stands can't have brothers, Anon. ;)
Were they actually playing it off as abuse? I think Satsuki have her consent.
>think about it if it were you and YOUR mom. yeah? still hot?
Wait, you're joking, aren't you?
Get one of these instead.
>Season 2 is some arguably Game Of All Time stuff.
This looks great.
>oh hey I wonder what this is
I should have known better.
What I'd really like on a shirt is the design of the portal
thosre are pretty meh, id go for one of these
fyi, that's from background artist Jeffrey Thompson. Not really a leak, it was posted on the official tumblr too.
>search gravity falls literally anywhere
>90% of the stuff is incredibly cringeworthy
>search any of my favourite shows
>everything is cringeworthy
>look in the mirror
Such is my life.
redbubble is pretty bad
teepublic has some good ones though(and some even cringier)
Thermal-transfer is basically a sticker sticked to the clothing by heat. After you wash it a few times, it starts coming off until it completely peels away.
Silk-screen printing or whatever it's called in English is basically paint applied to the clothing through a special material and then warmed up for a moment. It's basically indestructible and takes less time to mass produce, but it's slightly more expensive. You can still get it cheaper than online stores if you can find a small and decent printing company.
>the portal diagram in the 3rd picture has the circles in the corners crossing paths
>Stan's portal had the circles going parallel
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU CROSS THE BEAMS?
Here you go dude
I hope Dipper, in his haze of conflicted emotions and general feelings of betrayal, just disappears into the forest for a little while. But really, I just want to see him scared and covered in scrapes from wandering around the forest.
Redbubble first hae anything regarding the method, but this is the teepublic answer.
>Shirts on TeePublic are printed using Direct To Garment, which is a super high tech digital print technique. We have the best machines (Kornit) in the business and ensure an extremely high quality print. Every shirt that leaves our printer is QCd before being shipped to customers. We also color match and test print most designs when they become permanently for sale on the site.
Oh, wow, I completely forgot about this method. It's similar to screen printing (what I described as silk-screen printing), but it costs less when printing in small quantities. It's bretty gud.
Honestly, there isn't much hate for Bill Cipher that I've seen. Shitty fandom interpretations of him yeah, but the actual character? Not so much.
>tfw when my 12 year old cousin just finished her english exam and when I asked what she wanted as a gift she said "a gravity falls marathon and a lot of snacks"
I'm doing this, what else should I do?
Bill just seems to be a bit of a shit stir-ing character right now. He had a serious deal/plan with Gideon, but when Dipper made a deal, he mostly just fucked around as well as wanting to break the laptop and steal Dipper's journal/destroy it maybe (?) for this own purpose.
He definitely has a plan, or something he's working on;
"In return, you can help me with something I've been working on!"
And I'm pretty sure in Sock Opera he says he has plans for Gravity Falls, though how big and bad they are hasn't been seen/said, it might just be something small that massively benefits himself.
Bill just seems to have fun causing a bit of trouble/chaos mainly.
I think if he was humanized he would be a short chubby and sleazy guy that looks like he works at a car dealership
no emo hair over one eye either
I think he's just covering his ass. He's a nasty little shit and probably not immortal, so the best way to not get exercised by Stan's brother is to keep the protagonists in the dark. Destroying the notebook/Erasing Stan's memory would make sure of this.
N-no, he'd be tall, and skinny, and dreamy just like muh Doctor Whos!
I'm still disappointed that Bipper wasn't voiced by Ritter trying to sound menacing.
Did he ever do any other voice work? I've only seen him in live action. The show where he hijacked a plane because of aliens and guest starring in another as a guy who uncovered that elections were manipulated by an evil computer.
I am going to be pissed of if they dont fix end of the world with time travel.
I am going to be pissed of if Dipper doesnt join darkside only to be reminded of that shit he wrote down into Journal.
I am going to be pissed of if they dont use gideon ever again.
If those three thing dont happen i am going to be very dissapointed.
Gideon will obviously be back, we havent seen the episode that has his key.
Whatever is the big thing that will happen, it will be an end of the world that's creative in a way that it cant be undone by time travel, even Time Baby will be shivering in his widdle boots.
I dont remember Dipper writing anything into the journal
>Whatever is the big thing that will happen, it will be an end of the world that's creative in a way that it cant be undone by time travel, even Time Baby will be shivering in his widdle boots.
>I dont remember Dipper writing anything into the journal
First motherfucking episode.
What would give off that sort of "Bill-like" weirdness more? A generic-looking Onceler guy wearing a triangle on his head, or a sleazy, portly middle-aged man whose entire body vaguely resembles a triangle? I dunno about you but a human Bill looking like the latter would be more in theme with Gravity Falls than a tall skinny anime boy with trigonometry for a face
Maybe it's because I've watched Omniverse, but I can imagine a lot of ways for a powerful demon to destroy the universe at any point in time.
>not rewatching it every week
The first episode was one of the best in terms of the quality of animation and storytelling.
I see Bill as being a tall, sleazy looking man with greasy bright blonde hair if he was a human, but I prefer the triangle/object head headcanon, because the triangle works way better for him.
get peach soda for sure, something that could pass as a chipacker (the chip flavored cracker!), and some Mabel Juice (i'd recommend pink lemonade with a little grenadine and you absolutely cannot skimp on the plastic dinosaurs)
>Go to watchcartoonsonline and watch the episode right now
>not downloading in 1080p for maximum quality and comfiness
>not making WebMs immediately afterwards
I don't have enough space on my hard drive to download all the episodes in max quality so I have to make do with streaming websites
Bill cipher is inherently a dt. His cute personality, his high voice, that top hat
>beating Golf War
I think it would work best if he looked pretty normal but had certain traits that gives away the 'demon in human skin.' Not too pretty not too ugly. Things that would make people around him uneasy but subtle enough to make them unsure as to why. Not blinking, limbs bending further than they should, things shifting out of the corner of their eyes.
Looking obviously sleazy makes his villianry too obvious. He originally tricked the author into thinking he was a friend and I don't think many people would so enthusiastically describe the car salesman character as a 'great guy'.
>people thinking the true villain of Gravity Falls is
Free Pizza Guy
I like the handsome, suave, devil in disguise thing, but that's just my taste.
Whats most importnat is that Cipher is a dream/mind demon.
Humanized Bill would do that while taking a form that reflects something specific about who hes speaking to personally, e.g. seeing themselves, their greatest fear, or a loved one.
Oh of course.
Also I wish they would stop dressing up Pacifica in purple/light purple, it looks really bad on her. Which I guess was the point when she was an antagonist so you subliminally hate her more because her color scheme looks wonk, but now that we like her I hope they drop it.
>no Preston Northwest
Im upset Bill hasnt done this to foolish Dipper yet.
>winning a cool billion with Warren Buffets March Madness
>Warren Buffett's $1B bracket challenge is scrapped amid lawsuits
Phew, I was afraid I've missed a chance to win a billion. Guess I have to go back to the old fashioned way.
Are you? Are you really surprised?
Are you really surprised that the cartoon has not done anything in tune with the made up ship that you like?
Mabel is the one with romantic interests who are majorly screwed up or not what they seem.
Has it ever been elaborated on anywhere exactly what the extent of Bill's powers are? He's been described as a demon and a dream demon, and he's capable of possession, and fucking with the natural order to some extent (rips out deer teeth, flips the world on it's side in Sock Opera, appears a screaming head to Dipper out of nowhere).
>(rips out deer teeth, flips the world on it's side in Sock Opera, appears a screaming head to Dipper out of nowhere).
That's all pretty minor stuff, actually. Dipper and company were able to do crazier things during the battle with Bill in Stan's mind.
I never realized that, but now you mentioned it I do remember every character "waking up"/startling up after interacting with Bill, can't believe I didn't realized that's what they were doing. Makes sense!
Wonder if he has any powers in the real world/not in the dreamscape.
Yeah, that was my personal favorite out of a lot of the humanized Bill's
Hey, so I'm watching Dreamscaperers again (as if everyone in this thread hasn't also by now) and I got to the scene of Bill's summoning. I'm watching on a stream so sorry about the quality and the play icon. but there's quite a few interesting things in there I haven't seen discussed.
1. the ancient astronomer looking up at what could be the big (or little) dipper. this seems like it could either lead to some prophecy junk or something about aliens or both.
2. a super zoomed in image of the stamp in the opening title card that reads "1onepenn". you can see the bottom of some dude's chin, but i don't know who the dude is or if that's even relevant.
3. a broken robot hand??? it's all red and there looks to be a robot in the background with red eyes omg what??
4. the prison. ho dang, it seems to confirm that Gideon had plans for the prison, whether it's escaping it or overturning it.
5. ALYIUMS C O N F I R M E D
6. A P O C A L Y P S E C O N F I R M E D
(also as a side note this one was the very last image Bill shows us and it showed for barely half a second. i can only hope that we'll actually get Kusco as the cipher wheel says)
well those are my thoughts. what do you guys think?
So can we talk about how Bud Gleeful didnt seem affected by the lack of gravity? It seems like he jumped to grab the car rather than floated, at least to me.
Throw away fat gag or something more?
>Mayan 2012 prophecy
The hiati have made this show really dated. I can see why Alex doesnt want the show to go any longer than 3 or 2 seasons.
The show is going to end up like Eva where no one knows what the fuck the dead sea scrolls are
Mabel doesn't actually have a twin. Dipper was an alien experiment and that's why he has his birthmark.
Or he was marked by aliens to bring about the end of times.
I don't know, aliens are fun. Getting an X-files feel from this. Or, the end of the Call of Cthulu game, where the protag wasn't entirely human.
I could understand Jack not catching on that a green woman is Aku when you live in a world full of crazy robot bountyhunters and Scotsmen with guns for limbs and shit...
... but I think Dipper would catch on that the one eyed girl doting on him while spouting riddles was Bill
Is the robot Gideon's mecha, maybe? Some of the screenshots could just be... illustrating Bill's point that he knows "lots of things", such as lots of the mysterious of the world; whether Aliens exist,.
>"A darkness approaches. A day will come in the future when everything you care about will change! Until then I'll be watching you!"
Number 1 is from Irrational Treasure, in the underground area where they find out about Trembley
2. That's a stamp. pretty easy to tell.
3. That's the broken GideonBot from Gideon Rises.
Let's be fair here. The Mayans themselves were only recording another notch in a cycle, akin to celebrating a new year or a new month, except on a larger scale. Only modern doomsday idiots tried to spin it as a "prophecy" of end times.
He was pretty distraught when his sky high prices floated away, so it could be either way
In any case, whether or not he was affected by the ungravity, it looked like he knew what was going down
There are different types of episodes. The monster of the week variety involves the twins encountering a supernatural being and the ensuing hijinks/perilous danger that follows
Season 2 had plenty of those kinds of episodes, but they usually related to the over-arching plot in a way, or the stakes were much higher than "I could end up the Queen of the gnomes", or "Robbie could end up dating Wendy". Love God could have just been an episode in season 1, designed to get us to know the characters, and it overall had a lighthearted tone to it, unlike Into the Bunker for example where they all could have died or let the Shapeshifter roam the world if things went badly
In Love God the worst that could have happened if they lost was the group not getting back together, but even then Thompson got them back so there really was no real threat to any characters
Just the fact that 2 people, his hat and a car all floated before he left the ground with a sort of jumping motion makes it suspicious to me. Plus he landed on something already mid air so we never actually see him floating on his own.
>not wanting a qt boytoy
what are you gay?
Hot people have an easier time charming people into doing what they want I literally dont give a shit about bill either way but you people whining about hot tumbkr bills every other fucking thread are more annoying than they are
420 smile dip err day
I want Wendy
I want Bipper to be fucked by copious men and become the town cumdumpster.
Aftwewards he'll be a sweaty, giggling mess with semen dripping out of every orifice on his body.
sounds like a recipe for
>Doesn't like getting showed up by a 12-year-old
>Grimdark emo only because his parents are psychopath funeral directors
>Doesn't hit submissive dipper
>Thanks Mabel and admits he was wrong
>Makes up with friends
Is Robbie the most likeable character on the show?
He's got good background and his heart hoodie is on the Bill wheel, so I doubt they'll drop him.
>Can you really say that about someone we've only seen twice?
Yes, because her entire existence was to fill a void in Soos's life that apparently needed to be filled, and then she fucked off forever because having Soos actually have a girlfriend around changes the group dynamic.
nanosecondly reminder that dipper nearly killed a family member over muh journals
and he'll do it again
tbh the journals are the voice of the family member he was gonna kill so really its stanford telling him to do it
also I started getting uncooly feely in the car today when I realized Dipper didn't jump for the button when he had a chance before because mabel was there and he trusted her to listen
and she didnt
>There are people on these threads that think Stanley won't be voiced by Justin Roiland
What's wrong with you people?
I mean it's not even that farfetched once you realize he voiced Blendin as well.
>yfw he is voiced my Justin
>yfw they end up making a RaM reference
Why can't the S ever stay up?
Is it just a gag?
