>this bombs in ratings
>CN sees Steven Universe as the cause
>CN uses this as an excuse to start phasing out SU for more TT:Go, The Amazing World of Gumball, and of course Uncle Grandpa
>UG confirmed for 1 gorillion more seasons
>SU fades out of existence, typical "had a cult following" story
i can't speak for anybody else but i'm fucking hyped
I'm never at the right place at the right time to use this.
I think the crossover will be fine though, and it might help to mellow out the sudden huge growth rate of the fandom that the season one finale brought about.
Be more funnier if he shows up Obi Wan Kanobi style and tells him to "use the gem power" or whatever bullshit. Actually, knowing him he'd be like "embrace the weird." He already said that to Mr.Gus, but he might give him something along the lines to help Steven think outside the box in a situation. In a comical manner of course.
This is the only time I'll ever give a shit about Steven Universe again. After this I'm just not going to care.
Except for maybe another crossover. Like into Adventure Time or Regular Show, or Clarence.
Yes, one universe. Steven's Universe.
That'd be weird. But I'd like to see the villains in other shows make an appearance in Steven Universe. Like Ice King and the Lich. Well, the Lich is a baby now. Or, the big headed guy in Regular Show. In terms of shows, villains are scarce.
Maybe something else. Anything to fuck with Steven's Universe. You know, maybe just having other characters show up with their problems is good enough.
Oh, shit. I forgot about Maja the Sky Witch. But, she'd kind of out of commission. Lemongrab as sort of reformed. But, even as he is now, he'd still be a pain in the ass to deal with.
Yeah, I know. But in terms of shows to crossover on Cartoon Network, there really aren't much options. Besides, another motivation for them to do it is to help those other shows get more popularity.
Maybe another show sometime will come around. The most recent additions I can think of are Sonic Boom and Transformers.
I like the lore in SU, and I am looking forward to this episode. I actually hope it's canon, even.
Crewniverse likes it, good enough for me
So this is /sug/ right now, right? I was just watching the latest episode and
>I think they kinda blame me for my mom not being around
What? Where did that come from? I knew Amythest blamed Greg, and maybe Pearl too, but they didn't ever show that attitude towards Steven.
No, there's a /sug/ floating around somewhere, but...
>What? Where did that come from? I knew Amythest blamed Greg, and maybe Pearl too, but they didn't ever show that attitude towards Steven.
Steven walked in on Greg and Amethyst's argument and Rose's Scabbard was basically a whole episode about the subject.
I sure hope so.
You just walked into the wrong neighborhood.
This is what came up when typing that down and "Uncle Grandpa." But it illustrates a point in that this is a joint thread.
>Steven and the crystal gems running across the field.
>All of a sudden the UGRV comes driving next to them "Good Morning".
>Proceeds to take Steven and the gems into his intro.
>amethyst and steven looking amazed. Pearl looking in shock and confusion. Garnet has no reaction.
>the thing that UG is holding in the teaser
Does UG really have a canon, though? I don't remember there being any callbacks to previous episodes, except maybe the reference to Christopher Columbus in two episodes.
As for Steven Universe, ... well, how many crossovers have ended up being canon in general? I'm having a hard time thinking of many/any at the moment.
>Rose confided in ME!
>I'm sure she just kept secrets from everyone for a good reason...
>What do you know, you never even met her!?
>I'm going to become part of you, Steven
>Oh Steven, I wish you could have met her...you look so much like her sometimes
Yeah, I think from all of this he could pick up on the, resenting him a little bit, even if they don't want to admit it. I like that he's picked up on it, I didn't know if the show was going to ever address that at all, or at least not without them spelling it out to his face in some big scene. This is good, it shows character development.
I don't watch UG and I will probably not get many of the jokes and references and this episode might as well be nonexistant to me. That's why I don't like crossovers. Because they make you feel left out if only watch one of the shows. They only work BECAUSE people know that it is a crossover.
>YFW pizza Steve hits on Pearl, she blows him off as she's disgusted by food, he rebounds with Amythest, and garnet and Mr. Gus get along well together.
>Pearl then gets jealous of Amythest at the end
This could easily be an episode where he makes uncle grandpa in rose's room after watching it on tv, since he's no longer grounded. As a SU fan that's not really keen on UG I'd still love it if some canon moments happen in the episode.
Three means death in Japanese? I thought it was four.
If you were a weeaboo, you'd know that "Sanban" isn't even a Japanese name. Japanese family can't end in "n". It's actually a Chinese last name that the creators mistook for Japanese.
Or Chinese, or whatever. Pic related, directed at myself.
I like it,and your idea about how UG gets there seems plausible. I'd be fine with it being canon though. I love the SU lore, but I think it'd be funny if Uncle Grandpa was referenced again throughout the series.
>makes uncle grandpa in rose's room after watching it on tv, since he's no longer grounded.
Actually, I have a strong suspicion that this is exactly why they made it a point to air Open Book and Joy Ride before Uncle Grandpa. It's like how they had to air Rose's Scabbard during the Steven Bomb because there's a flashback to it in The Return.
>try to convince my gf that Uncle grandpa is actually a pretty funny show
I know the style and concept is pretty shit, but it can actually be pretty clever and fun
At least more funny than teen titans
I notice more basic grammar errors, misspellings, and more improperly used idioms on /co/ than I do many other boards (save for the absolute shithole boards). Make of it what you will.
So, have they actually done that or are people messing with me? It's Boom Studios, isn't it?
