>"From his roles as Bilbo Baggins and Doctor Watson to Tim in 'The Office,' Martin's range from the dramatic to the comedic has consistently impressed us," said "Captain America: Civil War" Producer Kevin Feige. "We couldn't be more honored or excited to have such a talented actor join the Marvel Cinematic Universe."
So /co/, who is he going to play?
With the rise of superhumans it would make sense for other nations to start trying to make their own superhumans.
though bob is so closely assosciated with deadpool not sure how itd work. i mean hes hydra...hydra is all kinds of avengers and captain america.
If Civil War starts and ends in the film, then yeah, I'm fucking horrified. There's no way you can fit what they're trying to fit in 2.5 hours or less. It just can't be done. Civil War could carry a 20 episode tv season on its own.
Movie Civil War won't be like comic Civil War.
Marvel never does faithful adaptations of the source material, I thought people would realize it by now. Age of Ultron has nothing to do with comic Age of Ultron.
Infinity War is a two partner, each likely about two and a half hours long. That's a lot more room to breathe than one film with a massive cast and a story like Civil War. Condensing this to one film is a mistake and I'd be surprised if that doesn't change soon. This needs to be a two part thing as well, but I'm not sure how stringent Marvel is with their time table for all the other films because that would force a shuffle.
If he's young Hank Pym, why in God's name would he show up in Civil War and not Ant-Man?
Seriously though, the story in every single Marvel movie takes place over the course of 3 days to a week at most. Civil War would need to include serious time skips in order to work. Will they have the balls to do that?
>Time gem shenanigans gets us Pym as a regular Avenger
Don't get my hopes up like this guys.
how new would the new Spider-Man be? would he have already been past the whole Ben dies, power and responsibility and shit by CW?
i was under the assumption that the X-Men/FF rights were handled differently within the TVverse
so does that mean Psylocke/Betsy is in a similar position as QS/SW?
I will kill myself if this happens.
My inside sources tell met hat he is indeed playing young Hank Pym.
There are also talks of the Ant Man sequel centering on Pym in the 60's secretly creating the tech that will lead to Ultron and an extended sequence in which Kevin Feige appears on screen and monologues for a solid 20 minutes about ow Pym is the GOAT Marvel character and Pymfags are his favorite fanbase.
Feel free to spam this all over the board and present it as face from this moment on.
Oh, so you have sources? Would you like to produce them, that we may harshly judge them, or Pymfags (like myself) can hopelessly masturbate over them, clinging to the false promise of a Pym movie?
He'll even bring Wasp back, watch in a few weeks Marvel will announce a new female character for Civil War.
Also, see spoiler for Ant-Man final battle.
He'll be playing Pip the Troll, screencap this guys !
He's clearly Everett K. Ross. Get with the program, casuals.
So far, Marvel has killed off:
Super Nova/Nova Omega
Baron von Strucker
Is there anyone else of note I'm missing?
It's hard to care about all this casting when they do nothing with the characters, and then kill them off to boot.
IT TAKES A LOT TO MAKE A CAP MOVIE
A PINCH OF TONY AND BUCKY TOO
A SCOOP OF AVENGERS TO MAKE IT NICE
A DASH OF ZEMO TO MAKE IT NICE, AND YOU'VE GOT
TOO MANY COOKS
TOO MANY COOKS
TOO MANY COOKS
TOOOO MAAANY COOOOOKS
ROBERT DOWNEY JR.
Weaving will do anything. Essentially his whole career is making shitty movies and then bitching about them.
He complained the same way about Transformers and he did three of them.
Nigga better start working out then.
Who from the Wire was in Incredible Hulk?
I didn't realise until recently that Michael B Jordan was Wallace all grown up... glad he's doing well for himself.
I was hoping Djimon Hounsou would've been Black Panther. Idris Elba feels wasted on Heimdall as well.
>yfw the Infinity War version
ROBERT DOWNEY JR.
Infinity War will literally be Too Many Avengers.
This does ask the question though: who will receive top billing on the movie poster?
They should just make it a two-parter and release one at the beginning of summer and one at the end of summer. Im sure there will be enough footage shot for two 2 hour movies anyways.
This would be pretty cool, and im not even British. Ive heard Captain Britain is still pretty big over there with his own series and everything selling really well. It makes sense.
Dr Strange will almost certainly get removed from the Infinity War fight somehow because he's hax as fuck.
Also got make room for GotG shitlords showing up quipping their way through all the fights.
No, I'm talking about which names will be featured at the top of the poster.
<--- AoU's poster, for example
Oh shit, I like Freeman. He can be a cunt sometimes, but I love him for it.
People thought it was like that because when Greg Weisman was running Spectacular Spider-Man, Disney purchased Marvel and took the license back from Sony. Greg said 'TV license', but he probably meant 'cartoon', as Marvel has always held the broadcast animation rights to their characters (back before the Spider-Man/X-Men movies, the cartoon rights were worth way more than the movie rights). People took this to mean that Marvel had the TV rights to Spidey/X-Men/FF, but they don't, they were already sued once back in the early 00's by Fox when they made a Mutant X tv show.
it'd be great to have a ton of heroes on the run at the end of civil war. just cast like a bunch of people as heroes that they may want to use later on/who like the role.
>tfw Anna Kendrick as Squirrel Girl pls
I'm thinking that Renner is getting his name completely removed, and Sam Jackson obviously won't be in the movie much if at all, so that leaves room for two extra spots. And plus I'm almost positive they'll add one more spot because of the fact that it is an extensive cast list.
They might remove Johansson too, but she's too big of a name.
It'll probably be
>with Josh Brolin as Thanos
>and Blankety Blank as Spider-Man
I'm almost positive Spidey's actor will be the "and".
>picking Martin Freenman over David Mitchell for Everett K. Ross
I want you to know that I laughed,
I like Martin Freeman, but the timing for this really, really does feel like a "we're so sorry that Whedon and Age of Ultron hurt your precious feelings Tumblr, so to say we're sorry, here's another of your "faves"! We promise he's not problematic ;^)". If that's the truth behind this, it's pretty fucking disgusting.

seconding this, 110% confirmed, my dog's dad is Feige's dog
I think I could feel my brain cells dying as I read that.
He's New Coulson. They'll probably shitcan Agents of Shield and consider it not canon and bring him in as a replacement for that character. Expect similar comedic timing/styling as his Bilbo.
Holy fuck, no. Negotiations can take a fucking long ass time. I don't even like how the noisy tumblr bloggers are dealing all this, but you're just as bad as them for thinking that.
>comedic timing/styling as his Bilbo.
Wasn't he already Jane's date?
> yfw Civil War ends with Cap back in the 40s dancing with Peggy
>hallucinates he's back dancing with them
>succumbs to death
I'm leaning towards Everret K Ross as a further lead in to Black Panther.
I don't think they have the rights to Gyrich. He's already been in a Fox X-Men film (the first one).
He can't be Pete Wisdom or anyone from M!:13 since those are also with Fox.
So I'm guessing Ross as part of the Black Panther long game.
There is only one actor able to play the depressing role that is Captain britain.
It would be an odd but potentially stimulating choice to have an older fella play Captain Britain, and maybe flashback to some past shit.
I think it would be a brilliant angle.
Have him flash back to the 80ies or some shit have it all happy and really comic booky.
Then we have Modern Britain. The Light is out, but he still works.
Eh, Fox couldn't handle it. Disney couldn't handle it either.
It'll never happen.
>Following the events of Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies.
Mark my words, he'll be the British prime minister
Excalibur was a British superteam (though Kitty tagged along with Kurt because at the time they both thought literally all of their friends were dead, so they fucked off to Britbongia.)
The qt with the pointy ears is Meggan (and later, Gloriana, when she settled on a rad supername.) She's a Romanichal mutant from England. Her powers are metamorphic and empathic in nature (and these are super extensive empathy and shifting powers, to the point of being debilitating early in her life,) plus she packs some blasting powers as well as flight.
Historically, she's had a bad habit of involuntary transformation, though she does some pretty slick tricks on purpose as well. Post-Dracula and her departure from Hell, she has full control of her extensive abilities, but back in the day it was a crapshoot sometimes, since she was prone to changing at the behest of the thoughts and feelings of those around her.
It's Alan Davis stuff. Classic Excalibur.
She has waifu superpowers. She met Brian, and through empathy, discerned what his waifu would be, and become his waifu.
Then he almost got cucked by Blue Fuzzy Dick
I can see it now.
He is on the phone with nick and asks where he was during the whole Ultron debacle and he says he had a bit of trouble with vampires and that apparently Dracula has a base on the darkside of the moon now.
He'll say it in a matter of fact way while sipping tea.
He plays some noname father whose son died in the ultron fight or some other superhero related fight as an innocent bystander and is now the man pushing the Superhero Registration Act through Congress where it will get padded to set up Civil War.
