My sister is going away for 4 days and I want to prank her while she's gone. She finds the whole shrek "someBODY once told me" meme a bit funny and always jokes with me about it. So basically I want to rig her bedroom door to have a cutout of shrek swing outward (Think of that giant hand thing in Jackass) and a small speaker to play the song when she opens it. I was thinking some kind of motor and electric switch but I don't have much access to servos / arduinos etc (save for online which might not arrive in time) So... Comment too long. >>933357 yes, especially if you use a microcontroller or raspberry pi. Capacitors cost like nothing man. Oh an the L239D is a motor controller, it amplifies the signals from the raspberry pi into something that can power a motor.
Does anyone know a good book about all kinds of different life hacks? I mean, a bunch of things, like how to hotwire a car etc, and more elaborated than those "These 25 lifehacks will blow your mind"-articles. Maybe something like "The Anarchists cook book"? (Which i haven't read, just heard rumors about)
"life hacks" are just a meme that take advantage of people's desire for shortcuts and easy solutions; they rarely if ever actually do anything about the underlying problem. If you have a problem that needs solved, learn about it (google helps), and then solve it. Bada bing, bada boom, life hacked.
So I'm having best buy install a radio and the led monitor for my car because it also tells me gas mileage and oil life and all that stuff. I'm also going to replace the car speakers but the installation bay said it would be an additional 190$ to the 70$ for the radio and its frame (190 is for parts and labor) for a total of 260$. Would I be better off installing just the speakers myself? Is it difficult or should I just pay best buy
>>933255 first you need blood and marital ties to continental europe, second you need general ruthlessness, and third you need an intense hatred of the scots. with all of these things combined, you can achieve your loup de guerre
>>933188 To answer your first question, these fans are supposed to exit outside, but could also vent into a central duct leading outside if this is in a modern apartment building.
To answer your second question, yes your neighbours might smell it, of which about 5% via the extract fan and the connected ducts and 95% via natural ventilation through windows and doors, even when they are closed.
I have build many mechanical guns in my early life, all of them with LEGOs and so far they all have worked wonderfully, the only problems I experienced were caused by rubber bands breaking or the shock of the mechanism slowly loosening the pieces. I want to know what Materials are the best and what should I expect for this project. Since I have only made complicated builds in LEGO I may be following a similar building system for now.
>>933168 Steel is my dream goal, however I would prefer something cheaper and easier to work with for the prototypes. Also, do you think that a Rifled barrel will help for a subsonic projectile? This protect may be just a glorified crossow
Okay /diy/, i need your help. I am currently building a MKARS80 transceiver, and ive got a problem with the transformers. I build it to learn more about electronics and ham radio, and yeah, i know, not the best project for a newfag. So, first problem: What is the difference between windings & turns? 2 Windings with 3 turns. So i take one wire, turn it 3 times around the core, and then i take a second one, and turn it 3 times from the other side on the core? Other question pic related.
Hi, I'm looking for some guidance in troubleshooting a Maytag Dryer MDE6800 >pic related I have already found the electric diagram, but finding the electronic schematic starts to be a pain in the ass. If you guys could lend me a hand, it would be really appreciated.
