Sales pleez, gonna be my cop of the year
Guys, where can I buy offwhite leggings similar to pic related for the same fit with my black pod shorts?
I love the way they stack over the boots (is it because of the tight boots or the leggings model?)
Also, what material do you think they are? Cotton or wool?
Thank you so much.
Check out Nid De Guepes. I know they have a milk color. Represent used to have white ones too. Not sure if in stock but those are lot and stack well, they are elastane. That's what I wear.
So after RO LA opened I finally got to see the sock adidas up close, and it seems that people are right about construction, exposed glue etc. Can these shoes really not take a beating? They look so nice despite it all
boxing day (atleast here in australia, not sure if that's a thing overseas). Sneakerboy generally has big sales. They had springblade boots for 80% off at the laneway sale (instore only) among other things. Usually their sales are online, though.
If I don't get some sunglasses, I think I'm going to go blind. However, I feel that walking around in Ricksuit PLUS shades pushes things over the douchebag edge for me. Any suggestions on some good eye protection that isn't too flashy or full of attitude? Thanks
I took my Ramens to the cobbler to get the heel sculpted with some new rubber and haven't bothered to pick them up because his hours conflict with mine (but he's the best in the city...) and also my pods were defective so I sent those back for an exchange. Haven't been able to wear this for out more than once now
there is a point we we should have stopped, but we've clearly passed it.
To the guy asking in the dead thread.
Jacket is a cotton intarsia and boots are ramones
wearing thrift parka, ann d knit, rick cargoes and reverse leather ramones :-)
sorry for the shitty iphone photography and lighting, here's a shot with better lighting tho
Yes. Look for the tech fabric panel at the heel when spotting for fakes. Reps never got that part right.
Depends. You'll probably be fine with small in newer seasons. Going back to seasons like crust though I would say stick to TTS
There's a good pair of Ramones for sale that I'm looking at buying, do they fit the same as Converse would?
The only other shoes I own are leather boots that are oddly sized, so that's really the best I have to go on. Thanks.
I see it's a scuba. I've owned one, I would recommend going up if you're between sizes so a small should suit you well.
Yeah blistered lamb. The fabric was absurd. Too luxurious for me.
I've never had experience trying to replace Raccagni zippers. I'm sure you could get a replacement if you contact them directly. I know the pulls can detach.
Yeah, it sold a few months ago. I think 950. It was in great condition, from Island.
>Chinese hypebeasts stare in horror as I walk out into the pouring rain with fairly new geos
>tfw can't find these in 39/40
I'm on the brink of caving and just buying the b/w variant but I know I won't be happy with them
Considering I don't know if I want an S or XS I don't want to buy blind. Do they stock these every season or is there a generic bullet leather I can try on in store?
Also can only find them bnwt for 1300 zz
Bro the guy is shitposting. They are real. Quit frettin and cop them already
Well the weird thing is the sizing is different now. Ever since he changed to IT sizing the fit isn't quite the same. Good chance you're a straight up XS or a modern IT46. You can try them on in store and if you're a 46 you're likely and XS in the older jackets
Damn, they're real tho. I got them from linde le Palais last season. Might be a funny picture.
I have the reverse leather lows. They are super stiff and no sign of breaking in anytime soon. Plus they are heavy, even heavier than my high tops surprisingly. The worst part though is my ankle bone (the lateral and medial malleolus according to Google) gets chewed up from running against the top of the opening - pic related
I've never owned a more supple leather or canvas low so I'm a bit biased.
Wow, those curve in really steep over the top of the heel. I can see that being terrible.
Full grain is pretty easy to selectively stretch, if you wanted to try that. Put on some thick socks and gently blow-dry the places that are tight.
is it true that drawstring bottoms with the contrasting waistband fit smaller then the non contrasting versions?
i have both and the contrasting one fits much tighter than the one without, even though theyre both mediums so im unsure if i should size up depending on the type of waistband.
This is my experience. My pods are an XS and fit a little big, my contrasting waistband sweats are an S and fit just fine. But I think I could wear an XS in the contrasting waist and it would just stretch to fit anyways. They're very forgiving.
What to you guys think of Island Dunks? Should I cop these 300? They have a few flaws
ah, i remember those, they sold for like $200 on grailed a few month back but were much dirtier, they seem to have been cleaned allot since then. i would say sure though, 300 is still a decent price
This is a good point. If you're paying retail, the cost of leather ramones is way more justified than synthetics. The price difference doesn't really get realistic until sale/resell.
let them stack over the shoes ffs. never understood why entry-level rick dweebs insist on 'showing off' their pristine ramones or dunks by tucking their pants or wearing leggings. fucks up proportions. Who cares if your shoes are expensive? mine are expensive, yours are expensive, doesn't matter.
Got my sizing on prisoners at a barney's. Looks like M fits best, I had a pair in xl but sold em because I had to tighten the drawstring all the way to wear them lmao. They dont look as good as I thought they would with my velcro lows, at least in my opinion.
Cuffed joggers aren't meant to go outside of hightops no matter how much they cost, ya dingus. I even tuck my joggers into converse because it looks way better than having that cuff bulge over the top of the shoe.
TLDR quit being a cynical shit.
On that note, cuffed joggers very rarely look good with lowtops. Usually works better if they're something chunky and if you wear socks.
I did try this out with my Geos so you can see how shitty it looks tho
Beauty is relative. If ideas of "good looking clothes" were universal, everyone would dress the same and fashion would essentially be a moot industry.
Personally I like Rick clothing specifically because it challenges standard ideas of what looks good.
It's all about proportions man, not pure heigth. I had some creepers for a while, the ones with the very bulbous toe, and I found them too big for my taste. Look into getting some newer model, it's got a flatter toebox. Ref: I'm 510
Typically a 48 is a medium. However Rick outerwear fits slim. I'm between a small and a medium top and his 48 fits me perfectly. Also it's how grailed lists sizes by lumping all the different sizing as one (it, eu, fr, us)
That is even a bit high. They were hitting sales in store for lower than that. I think I paid 318 for mine shipped, brand new. Don't pay more than 350 usd in my opinion, unless they are pristine and you truly want them.
Again these hit sale for so cheap. I know you're referring to the sand and gum soled ones. I sold my pair for 300 which I bought brand new for 250. They aren't very desirable... The unlined leather is not my favorite plus the silhouette is boring and basically all of the worst parts of a Rick shoe. Bulbous, heavy...
ok, I'm going to go to nyc in december so I'm going to drop by and see if I can cop some tees and some bottoms. didn't know if I would feel weird with just my ramones never been to a physical designer store before.
MFW I successfully convince fuccbois on the street that my 60 dollar jack jones hoodie is a Rick Owens signature
stay mad sheeple
Hey /rog/, can anyone run down the differences between the Detroit and Berlin cuts of rick jeans, and/ or any sizing advice? I'm looking at picking up a pair, and there wasn't very much info on the differences out there. Thanks.
Leather will be fine in the rain. With my B/W Geos I put a very very light coat of wax (red wing makes one that's more of a creme). It doesn't change how they look, but it gives you good protection against a torrential downpour. Probably overkill though.
Wew prisoners with socks looks pretty sick
Some of the worst fake geos I've ever seen on graield right now. Only $750!
>see this thread in the catalog
>think it's a joke
>see someone talking like a black nigger on twitter
>"oh they must all be pretending to be black and are being ironic"
>people are posting pics of themselves in this garbage
The only people that will think this shit looks good are other people that are into this shit. You won't be attractive to the opposite sex.
>implying I care what some uni skank in the quad thinks of my outfit
I don't need to dress differently for someone else just to attract, I do that anyways. If you think that clothes are about looking a certain way for an occasion you shouldn't bother fucking with fashion.
Yoox had them in XS jersey for super cheap last I saw. Like $200. They had a full run of sizes a month ago but I think it's all gone now.
I ordered some but returned as soon as I got them because I think they look pretty bad.
Liquid indigo isn't actually blue, it's green and it oxidizes to blue. Some raw denim has lots of excess indigo and when you pre-soak it the water turns a weird piss yellow color.
If you're buying unsanforized raw denim, you *have* to shrink it to size, or you'll fuck up your fades when you do get around to washing it. Unsanforized (99% of normal denim) doesn't need it.
Are you actually clinically a moron?
>The only people that will think this shit looks good are other people that are into this shit
What you've just summed up there is taste, you know that thing everyone bases opinions on?
Jesus fucking wept
the difference is that there are probably barely any people into this stuff outside of the internet therefore no one will find this style attractive and will think it looks stupid
The all black version looks bad. I feel a big part of what makes rick sneakers work in a fit is the contrasting sole, making that obvious disconnect between the ground and the foot. It creates the illusion of walking on a platform.
Can I get a 2nd opinion in these, pretty sure I'm gonna cop.
So I found this pair of Rick Owens boots for sale online in size 39 - my size...
What's strange about the ad is that the first picture doesn't seem to be the same boot as the three last. The first one appears to be in suede - most likely the RO Suede Ankle boot - and three others appear to depict a RO Spike boot.
I guess that it's just a mistake by the person who put up the ad...
What I'm wondering is...
- Do you think the boot is a fake or not?
- How much is it actually worth? It seems to be sold out everywhere so no prices are listed. I'm thinking like +200 Euro
What do you guys think?
Those are legit. However, the insole indicates they are a 38, not a 39.
Got my Ramones back from the cobbler. He did a decent job. Hard to find a good cobbler for some reason. He originally wanted to cap the entire outsole with this new rubber, was really not into that even though it will happen eventually...
If you setup an offset bridge correctly they hold tune very well. Especially original offsets like this one (1962) when they still made the vibrato spring out of decent metal. Admittedly, I replaced the bridge with a Mastery anyway, but it's always a strict upgrade. It can handle a beating and never go out of tune, it's phenomenal. I used to be all about stoptails until I got this guitar, I've been a Jazzmaster/Jaguar fan ever since.
Anyway, I'm ok with how white it is since while worn it's not noticeable at all. I'm trying to figure out whether I want to lace them differently or not. I think it's time.
I'm a Gibson 2 piece fixed bridge man myself. Dislike my telecaster ashtray bridge if I'm going to be honest. Have an ancient aria I fucking mullered and I'm forever fiddling with the floating trem on that trying to keep it in shape. In fact I'm gonna just block out the trem on that guitar and be done with it.
Might look at getting one of those FXR Floyd rose trems. They look pretty cool.
I try and change my lacing every so often to make sure I get even Wear - not sure it makes an appreciable difference though
>tfw you will never see a qt girl wearing rick irl
Until you've handled enough Rick to start spotting fakes, the inner tag books are the most reliable. No one ever gets the font or the shape right for some reason.
With the shoes it's pretty easy, the silhouette is always fucked up.
and is the long sleeve see through when you wear it ?
