I've been using this app called myfittnesspal or something and its cool bc it lets you see when you've eaten too much and at the end of the day it tells you how much you would weigh if you ate that every day

Had this in a thread earlier... trying to lose weight. Bulimic habits seem to be the wrong (and far less hygienic) answer. Starving is shitty... but don't feel like exercising more than what my job forces me to do. Been cutting down on the calories. Picked up smoking. Drinking lots of water. We'll see, I guess.
P.S. I used to be a fatty-cake. Diet and exercised myself into skinny-fat. Shot up like a bean stalk... 5'9" 210lbs to 6'3" 175lbs in only a few years. I'm left with the shitty flab though... and I've kind of plateaued at my current appearance for some time.

You need to put on some muscle and then lose fat. Unfortunately you can't do both at the same time. First you need to start counting calories and eating more while lifting weights or doing calisthinetics. Once you gain some weight, you go back to eating less while mainting your workout routine so you can get lean. The /fit/ wiki tells you everything you need to know about nutrition and workout routines.
first, calories in calories out is bottom line. go on a deficit
second, meal timing matters. spike insulin with high glycemic load carbs around the time you exercise (start exercising). slow digesting carbs are good but..
thirdly, protein. protein. get as much of that shit down as possible. take away carbs and eat chicken breast until you can't stand it
Fourthly, don't go catabolic. Combining 1 and 4 is tricky. you are textbook skinnyfat so don't forget #1. Make tough food decisions.

But I'm working out a little bit now.
eat at a deficit, and work out/ be as active as you possibly can. for diet I recommend do intermittent fasting as it allows you to eat big meals whilst being at a deficit. basically you eat all your meals within an 8 hour window and you fast for the other 16. it also involves a cycling of your macros but I don't really think it adds any true benefit. keep your macros looking like 40% protein 40% carb and 20% fat. oh, and you also cycle your total calories, so you'd eat at maintenance( you can work this out on many internet calculators like iifym tdee) on your lifting days( which would be Mon, Wed, and Fri) and then eat at a 20% calorie deficit on your days off. Thus, this should leave you at a little deficit but if you want a faster rate of fat loss then you can increase your deficits to 30% on training day, and 10% on days off. the usual training routine also involves doing compounds on the 3 days you lift but I ran a bro split, working out 5 days a week( Tues and Thurs on a deficit) and recompositioned/ cut just fine.
this can go one of two ways

you don't have chun-li thighs you have fat thighs so you need to diet fatty unless you squatted heavy at some point in your life you don't have any considerable muscle mass on your legs and i know you haven't squatted because if you did you'd understand how to build muscle which means you'd know how to decrease muscle mass

Count calories, research nutrition, exercise more, drink more water, sleep. I was skinnyfat and I saw results in 1 fucking month it's so easy I just never cared enough until recently.
I do train lats....this pic was taken after a couple months off and surgery. but honestly I don't go for aesthetics anyways.

I thought maybe BSN protein shake mix or whatever it is, don have no plans on working out with it. I miss meals and don't eat much and that is my problem, but I read some people use the shakes as a substitute for missed meals.

Be at least 6', don't eat meat, fish, or dairy, and be too busy and occupied with some other activities that you go on for periods of 8 hours or more without eating. Problem solving stuff like math and programming works best. I also lift heavy five days a week, and am trying to move out of ottermode. I guess genetics of your muscle insertion and fat distribution will also play a roll.
