Which piece of clothing do you get complimented for the most?
Willing to be the majority will be plebby fast fashion items
For me it's a shitty topman button down
My dress shirts, especially the light blue one, when worn tucked in my pants. I don't wear them often, but I always get compliments. My /fit/ build must have something to do with it
This god awful The Hundreds short sleeve shirt that I got for like $5 at a thrift store.
some marled sweatpants from reigning champ
they're super comfy, apparently they're my "classy sweats"
shit pic but you get the idea
Idk got it on sale for 100€ at some normal store in my city (selling normal stuff like Vans, Nikes, Carhartt, surfing brands, etc.) I think it was originally 200€ or something like that.
>this is what #palewave, or Rick Owens, or normcore fans believe
bruh I feel this.
I get complimented on a shitty AE cardigan I bought as a lightweight cheapo for colder months and I get way more on that than anything else I own. Shit feels bad man.
My Can "Future Days" tshirt
But pretty much only at record stores, so that makes sense
Otherwise? Stephan Schneider "Moth" Mohair/wool cardigan
lol, i got $5 shoes from goodwill that i get complemented on if i dress up
i also used to where a bunch of shirts from like the 70s with really long collars, and those got complemented a lot
Any KTZ piece. More people notice and compliment loud, in your face shit rather than quiet and reserved pieces. I've learned to take it with a grain of salt. Quiet pieces have their place, and an outfit should only have one loud piece maximum.
Topman has some cool prints but I've felt their blazers and they're as bad as hm quality wise. They look better though. I think banana republic has the best deals at the mall on quality vs price.
CP derbies, though I'm probably gonna sell them and get some MOTO shell derbies instead. Would keep if I had the black soled, don't really like the yellow on these.
I got hella compliments on Raf velcros back when I had them, mostly from Filipino sneakerheads. Weird story: some dude on a bus complimented my velcros once and then I posted in a shoe collec thread on here and he recognized me, turns out he lived like 2 doors down lel
-black silk track jacket
front embroidery: "Hawaii"
back embroidery: "88 South Korea Olympics" and a picture of the stupid tiger mascot
-Dior kangaroo pocket pullover jacket (green, blue and red)
-the goofy ass chain in picture
Pic related shoes.
Also, a plain navy shirt I bought for $5.
>>8654274 am I breaking some sort of fashion law or is denim do-able?
>girl on campus compliments my fucking retarded bright orange swims overshoes
>nobody ever compliments the $500-1000 pairs of shoes/boots that I wear every day and occasionally have to cover with overshoes
Whenever I wear a nice shirt, its always my pants or shoes.
Doesnt matter if I wear the same shoes or pants with other shirts, but when I wear my nice shirts, the shirts are never directly complimented.
1. eat my shorts fuckface
2. even if it was, so what?
>standing straight with arms to side
Are you a penguin or are you about to go on of those water slides where the floor falls underneath you?
Probably my YSL Johnny boots.
i am jelly
bitches love my techfleece poncho
[spoiler]im a guy tho[spoiler]
thats pretty cool
for me it's these pants. probably because of the white line on the cuff that makes it look fashionable.
most basic 25 dollar black hoodie from new yorker
still unworn af1's
fw 11 supreme. I always get a handful of compliments every time I wear the shirt.
This jacket, pretty much whenever i wear it somebody will say something.
it also has the magic ability to ruin any picture taken with flash photography when going out.
I own a matching, cat patterened 5panel and button up combo. It's pretty fucking stupid but people always comment on it
pic related is the matching shorts i'm waiting on
Probably either my red allen edmond wingtips or my blue paisley Supreme x Liberty 5-panel.
Sometimes I get compliments on my Engineered Garments bomber, but only when people have time to look at it up close. My socks also get a lot of compliments.
Pic is the red wingtips.
Shimano hoodie. Males always say nice jumper and talk to me about fishing
Aside from the tailored suits it'd be Yohji no doubt, I've got about a dozen and they all just fit perfectly, I essentially make sure the shoulders fit well and let the drape do the rest.
That said, recently bought a Ziggy Chen coat (which i probably won't wear in the southern hemisphere as it's thick as fuck) that's in PH style and it's probably my favourite new item as the fit was superb.
Boots wise I'd say Julius back zips, they're easy to slip into and now that i've put foam insoles in, are much more comfortable than my guidis who I realised i essentially bought for the hype. Guidis are well constructed sure but I realised I prefered the old Carpe Diem toes box in terms of looks.
My drkshdw cargo pants.
But the compliment that hit me the most is this..
>post night out drinking
>wearing grey suit with white button up and brown brogue wingtips
>decide to go to a bar for some drinks
>take off coat and roll up sleeves
>old guy sitting beside me
>tells me that younger generations should wear suits more
>says how his daugher is dating some kid who dresses like shit
>a sartorial life is best even though i wear rick majority of the time.
Red Doc Martens' Alfies. Daily. Work really well with rolled black jeans and any matching top.
>tfw nothing has been complimented
>not even a fuccboi
>not knowing this feel
Is it because I dress too angsty, not enough colour, no interesting piece?
I just like taking my style slowly, making sure everything fits perfectly.
14-eyelet steel-toed Doc Martens, made in 2003. Somewhat highschoolcore but they still get compliments.
huh... what kind of quality is it ?
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Supreme-Jackets-Supreme-X-Face-Windbreaker-Coat-with-Hood-Slim-Fit-Zip-Up-Tactical-Military-Hoodies/1917873076.html what the hell
I get a lot of compliments over a pendleton lumberjack coat kinda similar to this. It's quite loud so it gets a lot of attention, I like it, its comfy in autumn/winter
>pair o' Kobe 9
>only on the court
>complimented on clothing when I'm not even trying to be /fa/
Imo if you want compliments you shouldn't try to wear really nice stuff, you should just wear what epitomises the current trends.
e.g. if you wore a bucket hat with screen printed styrofoam cups filled with purple drank getting fired out of an ak, a black tee with katakana printed on, black skinnies and some nike air maxes you're gonna get complimented more than anyone else.
if you're down to chill some time, hit me at email@example.com with the names of the two grocery stores right there (so i know it's you replying before i give out a real e-mail)
we should get coffee and talk shoes or something
very probable cop
I like wearing the one drowning hands tee I have from them, it attracts the right type of people and compliments. Trying hard not to over fill my wardrobe with printed clothing tho urgh.
