PHONE IS BOTNET
4CHAN IS BOTNET
CAR IS BOTNET
EVERYTHING IS BOTNET
It's the latest iphone, so 6 will be coming soon.
Phones are an accessory not for functionality. You need to realise that no matter how hip you think your htc, sony or whatever the fuck you have. Once someone pulls out the latest iphone out of their pocket, you phone looks like the cheapest shit ever.
>looking better than my OPO
lol pick one
>not having a nokia 515
>makes calls, texts and takes pictures
>36 day standby battery time on one charge
>17+ hour active call time
>charging your phone multiple times per day
>not being over social media
hope you guys quit before it gets passe
i already did
xPeria Z2, HTC One M8 and iPhone.
To a far lesser extent the Nexus 5.
Definitely not any plastic stuff by Samsung.
These are your choices.
But I have an iPhone 5, I just think the Nexus 5 is utterly /fa/
Pic: My iPhone
>crtl + f
Seriously, that glass weave back is amazing!
And they keyboard is fucking great too.
But whats even better, is the fact that it is one of the few phones that do not look like an iphone, which is the epitome of pleb.
Who's still using a dumphone though?
I think I'm never going to use smartphones because I simply dislike the concept. It is too futuristic and inhumane. Like, there's too much technology in our lives, don't you think?
I have a dumbphone as a back up and while I like it I find my smartphone useful in a pinch which is something I don't want to give up
I prefer the early model smartphones so I have a little more functionality but still a basic plan
No phone at all, i have no one to call, i have ipod and camera if i need to.
I have a yellow 720 and laugh everytime someone ask me if I'm using a case.
what was that?
I can't hear you over this superior audio.
Where have all the hard keyboard qwerty phones gone? I hope they release something like this again.
Also actually using it is fucking pain because there is no feedback to anything unlike older phones. I might consider getting one when the companies making the phones start implementing haptic technology.
Smartphones are incredibly useful and the excuse of "too much technology in our lives" shouldn't warrant choosing to not own one, especially considering the point of technology is to make your life easier or give you greater access to information.
I use mine mostly for: looking up train information, bringing up a map, reading books, browsing the web, making notes, transferring files, scanning documents, reading the news, shitposting on 4chan, using the dictionary, reading the weather, and texting people.
My phone call conversations last about a minute on average.
I concur. My LG ENV3 was the best texting phone I ever owned. I could fire off texts like mad. I also liked how the screen could be tilted. I miss qwerty keyboards so much I am considering getting a blackberry now.
They are not as comfy to use though
Also why have all these optional features and shit when you won't use them anyway?
Really the only thing smartphones have going for them that I would probably use are the decent cameras, they just come in handy so often.
Pic related my phone, not very effay but it's bliss to use.
just got a z1 compact, great size in these ridiculous times of tablet phones
>Smartphones are comfy
They sure as fuck are not. There is no feedback using them, it feels fucking terrible to try and write anything on them.
There is a reason mechanical keyboards are still considered the best, the feedback when pushing the buttons makes using them just that much better.
>gotta get this gr8 phone. looks like something master chief would use. tactical superiority, baby.
>oh sweet a keyboard that looks like it's from the matrix
>ooh i'm gonna have it make bubble noises every time i touch my finger to the screen
>that dodecacore processor really gets me juicin. i can tell cuz it's got bigger numbers than dumb iphone processor
>can't believe stupid rich kids buy expensive iphone
>Ah, here's a phone that looks like it was designed by adults.
>Seems to work quickly like the others, but I don't feel like washing my eyes every time I use it.
>Since I'm not retarded, I realize that all of these phones cost the same amount since I live in the good ol' US of A, so I'll get the one I like best.
Fucking idiots all around, but Android users tend to think just enough about their purchases to do it horribly wrong. Specfags choose Android because they're afraid to leave their basements and have a physical experience with the phone before purchasing.
Here's what Google needs to do to corner the "high end" market:
>Design a device that rivals the iPhone in design, both physically and the default OS settings.
>Don't let third party shitware anywhere near the device before it reaches the consumer's hands.
>Provide consistent updates to the OS on that device for at least 3 years.
It's not as profitable for Google to attempt this for now, I suppose, but there's plenty of room to surpass the iPhone.
iOS is better than default Android on most devices.
And the gold iPhone served to separate the swaglets and jewish princesses from the other customers, particularly those who bought superior black version.
It messes up your short memory by replacing it with this little screen in your hand.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of these insane hippies, but it just doesn't feel right when a piece of technology becomes an abnormally huge thing that constantly follows you in your life. Whenever I see people taking pictures of themselves everywhere, it scares me.
It all took only five damned years or so.
>It messes up your short memory by replacing it with this little screen in your hand
So much of this... before I'd rely on my memory on what to buy, what's important to remember, etc. Now... all I use is notes and Googleing for everything that I need.
Windows Phone users:
>fuck it it's fine I guess, feels nice, big screen
>quite possibly first smartphone ever
>enjoy the phone for what it is
>Android and Nexus (and possibly HTC) users constantly say how their phone is better than yours because for some reason that matter
>iPhone users won't really care
>certain things will glitch
>multiple apps loaded onto the phone are more or less useless for the average consumer
Anyone got the skinny on the Firefox phone? When is it going to drop?
>it's OK that android is ahead of ios, I'll pay 700 bucks in 6 months time when the iPhone 12 comes out and catches up
>it's so simple to use it doesn't even matter that Apple won't let us do anything customisable
>I literally cannot stop sucking cocks while I shove my iPhone up my asshole
this is my next phone
Xperia Z3 Copper
it's coming to EU, US and Japan at the end of sept
im still rocking my galaxy s3, man i need new phone. theres a lot of burn in on my screen.
contracts up, yeahh
dunno if i should wait until an s6 comes out q1 2015(assuming..) or what. samsung phones are made with plastic and look like shit :|
yea i kinda hate and love my blackberry but i just cant find an alternative
>Android is ahead
>People are forced to buy a phone prior to contract renewal
>Customization is something non-spergs care about
I'll admit that iOS isn't as customizable as I'd like, but all your other points are shit. Also, iOS 8 is finally introducing 3rd party keyboards which was my major gripe about lack of customization.
>Hanging out with friends who all own iPhones
>Type something into Google on my 925 with Swype
>"Anon what the fuck is that"
>"That swooshy shit you just did"
>It's Swype, iPhones don't have that?
>They all have blank stares of confusion
Shit was like it was out of a Nokia commercial I swear to god.
sounds like you got a small handspan
>9 inch master race
Not the guy, but I have a large handspan through guitar and piano playing (never measured it properly but I can play a twelfth with thumb and pinkie and an octave with my pinkie und pointer, although I don't tend to do it), still I find phablets uncomfortable to hold. And uncomfortable to carry around in your pocket, for that matter. Also I use my smartphone with one hand like 90% of the time.
Seriously, I own this since I didn't want a iPhone 5 and I don't regret my decision more than once every other month when the Music App is shit (really, iPod App in apple stuff is just awesome).
But the z10 is just straight up fashionable IMHO
I have the Z10 (in black o/c) and it's really the same with me.
There are so many lovely things about it like the framed glass (doesn't scratch on the floor or something)
The awesome design and the free operating system and the fact that you can just put shit from your PC Straight onto it.
But then again there's the picture app, the music app, the BlackBerry store (Im from Germany and I can't buy movies)
Still its a hate live through and through.
Oh almost forgot 128 Micro SD support is boss
LG G3 has a really nice official case
havent tried bb10 before but im satisfied with my bold but damn the battery life is shit since its old now and kinda getting jealous of the apps for android and ios. but i still prefer the look of blackberries
I love these old Ericson phones from 97.
i hate this. why do those kids have phones that are expensive?? like if someone gonna get robbed might as well be a 6-year old kid right
Duuude, the pearl is maybe the sexiest blackberry. Yes it has Os7 and i only still use it for his awesome battery and fashionable look
naaahh i guess it looks sexy.. if its 2005. its too small. the reason why i switched from curve to bold is that curve is too small for me. also, i need a qwerty keyboard... but im feeling that pearl really has a great battery life.
Oh man it does.
Also why do they keep making phones bigger? I have a nexus 5 and my tiny bitch hands already have trouble holding bigger phones this is so depressing god damn when are we gonna stop?
Moto X/Nexus 5 had a nice sweet spot where it wasn't like holding a slab of glass on your face and now we gotta push it. And the battery life is shit
So disappointed by the new X. I still support Motorola as a company because they try some interesting ideas that aren't retarded (like samsung's fucking note edge) and support a lot of customization, but the new Moto X seems like a pretty big misstep. What makes it worse is that all the tech sites are going to praise the new metal band because the "premium feel" and the new flash layout for being "cool and unique".
The old Moto X had a really nice and refined but not flashy design, that's gone now.
Also the branding. It was nice and subdued before, it's hideous now.
>phones keep getting bigger and bigger
I don't really do anything aside from texting, calling people and maybe browsing the net when I'm on the train. Why do companies keep pushing these 5"+ monstrosities?
Perceived consumer demand. It's slowing down though, and a lot of companies are producing decent mini versions of flagships, so I think there's hope.
Still mourning the loss of the original Moto X design. I really regret not waiting for a week or so to get the wood option.
Because most people aren't just texting, calling, and maybe browsing. They're using their mobile phones for content consumption, such as playing games, watching video, or browsing the web (via dedicated apps or the phone's browser). A larger screen helps with all of this.
Sorry man, you're just not the target market. Get an iPhone or a flip-phone.
Are there any good looking phones like these
that also have a good interface?
I have an iphone 4 with the latest OS and it gets worse every time they do an update. I went to try out other phones and I have the same issues with all of them:
after you unlock it you can't touch the screen without doing something other than what you want to do. see pic related as an example.
there is simply no "neutral" area. if you touch any part of the screen, something will happen. if you move your finger, something will slide down, or pop up and 90% of the time it's a feature i would never, ever use.
i don't know if i'm doing a good job describing the problem, but if anybody knows what i'm talking about, and knows a touch phone that works better, let me know, please.
The nokia and the Moto X you linked to both have good interfaces IMO. The Nokia runs Windows Phone, which I personally think is the best looking phone OS, but there are other drawbacks that keep me away from it.
I have a moto X and the interface is pretty good. I use a launcher and an icon pack because I like having a bit of customization, but it basically runs stock android, so the UI is consistent throughout.
Also, android L is coming pretty soon, so the UI will get even better.
Xperia Z Phones
if u dont care about doin shit with ur phone and just want to blend in get an iphone
if u want to do shit with ur phone buy a google nexus device. they are the best androids by far.
if u want a windows phone u should kill urself
no smartphone qualifies. even though i own one myself.
first of all a smartphone itself is just such an approval-seeking tryhard device. secondly the same tryhardness taints the modern designs as they are so hard trying to be fashion accessories. they're not, they're devices and rugged functionalism is the only way a device can be /fa/.
when i think about what kind of a phone Rick or Margiela would pull out it'd probably be a 3310 or at most some old shitty Blackberry.
If you want to ask what are differences, the new one has better software features and improved hardware. It also has a bigger display and resolution, image related, it's the one on the left.
