Jesus Christ have you ever seen a hood this huge, rain wouldn't touch you
Big collar/hood techwear thread
anyone know where i can find this?
Looked for this coat for fucking ever, closest I came was original Japan street shoot, does anyone know anything like this shit? It's perfect and gets so many reqs http://www.fashionsnap.com/streetsnap/2009-02-05/1255/
Overplayed/expensive but Acronym's sleeveless have awesome hoods and collars, not really techwear as you're gonna get soaked
I don't know what it is but this aesthetic is so nice, "real" plain raincoat hoods are a little boring and plebby
They look like it, even if they are a poly blend it's still shitty and will never keep water out. I don't know of anywhere that makes leggings like that mostly they are just simple solid colors. Gyakusou is the only brand I know of that makes techy leggings that actually look cool
I'd lurk around the Acronym thread on SUFU, maybe someone else has an idea.
be warned: it's probably exorbitantly expensive and hard to come by, so. fair warning lol.
Aw fuck man, still no one knows what OPs jacket is
Also how's the durability on these?
Just got my pair of triple blacks.
They're comfy as fuck, but they're not meant for durability. There's even a disclaimer on the tag that says they're not meant to be used for traditional athletic shit. The upper is neoprene so it will keep your feet fairly warm, but it isn't a functional shoe by any stretch of the imagination. If you live in a mild climate and like having kicks that you can slip on and off easily, they are top notch.
Thanks guys, sound comfy af, but do you know an equivalent that'll put up with a bit of wear? Ty for detailed response, much appreciated
Pic: old ass Nike Predators from the 90s, still dope today
Pretty sure it's not, I remember in one of these threads an anon tracked it down and it wasn't ACR. It was some second rate tech brand trying to look like ACRONYM but definitely not ACR.
i'm glad i'm not the only one lol. the material doesn't look like anything acr uses, and honestly they haven't changed their aesthetic since the company's inception and that jacket is pretty incongruous with past collections (fw1415 is a step in that direction but definitely not there yet). furthermore it doesnt have logo tape or forcelock which is included on a lot if not most acrnm jackets.
If you are actually living out the Techwear aesthetic you should never be that skinny. Techwear is about getting out and doing stuff. Get active being physically fit, not some tiny little twig. That fit isn't even Techwear, bitch is wearing jeans and docs plus that jacket looks like it's cotton. 0/10 wouldn't come close too.
It's silver man, that's just the light reflecting off of it and giving it a different hue. American Apparel has never put out anything even close to that.
I'd look through the photoshoot someone mentioned, this jacket is definitely a shade of blue, but it might be a more denim-y gray/blue than ice blue, but good explanation anyway :) now i just need to find it...
More waterfall techwear inspo. This seriously is one of the most amazing fit pics I've ever seen.
>>8784082 Yeah this guys right, it's silver you twat, blue light
(I fucking want this too, wtc)
Is this a good shoe for a Techwear fit?
Thinking about getting a pair in all black
>Reebok OG Pump Fury
What brands/ pieces are good for comfycore techwear? I'm thinking plenty of pockets, comfortable material while being protected from the elements for f/w months. I live in Norway so the fall can be quite wet while winter will be quite cold. Ideal fit will be a little loose while remaining streamlined.
things like this remind me why i still come here <3
ya we already established that you fucking mongoloid. I acknowledged I was misinformed as well.
i swear 50% of the inspo you guys post is from this one blog
all that shit spouted
>saying techwear isnt about being skeleton
>saying that person isnt wearing techwear
>implying techwear is 'about getting out and doing stuff'
no it isnt you huge mongoloid
and that person wouldnt let you come close to him/her anyways
These are Air Carnivores not Predators. Just saying.
Errolson Hugh usually styles his own products with cheaper shoes
I think the shoes fit the feel of the outfit, and doesn't draw attention away from the parka, which is the main piece.
What would look better than trainrendors?
would love to see what sort of techwear fits /fa/ can achieve
does anyone even pursue this style?
not once in a waywt thread have i seen a fit based on tech
I think the shoes actually do draw attention away from the parka.
I guess the price thing was a bit misworded. What I meant by it is that the trainerendors look cheap and out of place.
A better pick would've been something sleeker to flow better. Flyknit Lunar 2's maybe
>if this guy had just picked better shoes
>thinking the shoes are actually the only wrong thing in this
>mfw /fa/ never learns
I'd post a ton if I weren't poor. So many ideas, not sure if they'd be necessarily innovative though. Closest I have to anything techwear is a pair of commuter cargos and flyknits. They're nice flyknits though.
Techwear has even gotten me semi-interested in DIY stuff, maybe like an anorak or something. But I'm probably not cut out for it. Feels bad.
>that stupid fucking "deep" abstract painting
jesus fucking christ that makes me more mad than the shitty "dark and mysterious" fit. you know if you went up to this guy on the street and just straight up started making fun of him and his clothes he would just start stuttering and saying "i dont want any trouble i dont want any trouble please leave me alone" fucking faggot.
Techwear is expensive so most people can't go out and build a full fit
Best I can do is
>Arc'teryx Solano jacket
>Reigning Champ sweater
>Levi's Commuters 511
>Onitsuka Tigers 72 California
As you can see, only every other piece is actually "tech"
Well, what is it that draws you about Acronym? What's the Acronym you like?
In the last techwear thread, two people agreed that they both liked the J43-GT and S6-C the best from the new collection; I thought they were the most underwhelming pieces, unless you count the cash-in accessories (tho, I think I'd actually rather have the shemagh and beanie over either those).
OTOH, the J-40CH, P16A-CH, and to a lesser extent J41-GT were exactly the garments I've been dreaming of in the aether for months, except better.
There's cheap things that aren't knock off shit.
Acronym is a little hard, because they're one of the most distinctive brands going and Errolson would be a master even if he wasn't charting new territory. But I think we can find >>8798203 something he likes.
Also pic related game over everybody, stop worrying about what's tech and the size of someone's fucking thighs in an *inspo* image and just wear cool clothes.
Visibly DIY'd tech clothing is awesome. I'll see if I can find some good pics later.
There is literally nothing wrong with his fit and I will eat a fucking hardshell if you have anything more interesting than that on your walls.
should I cop this as a winter jacket? its by clymb, anyone have experience with the brand?
need a good jacket for techwear outfit im putting together, cutoff is 570~, do you think this'll work?
korean clothing companies sell them on ebay all day long. Notice how all of these models are korean? yeah. They go for about $15
dont forget to order your shit 2 sizes larger because asians are little creatures.
serious lack of high-vis in this thread
Hi, I'm gonna be in Zurich for 6 months next year and I plan on doing plenty of hiking with some snow sports. I'm new to tech wear and was wondering if you guys could recommend some waterproof trainers that would be suitable for hiking. Also, where do I begin looking for other waterproof sweats?
I think we all look at the same Tumblrs, but this was nice to see. The very first J1. Anyone know what the fabric was?
The flap on the upper chest, above the flak pocket, is what they did before Forcelock - under it there's a mesh pocket to secure your earphones. I don't remember what other early Acronym pieces I've seen it on to Google up an illustration, but that's what it is. Cooler, I think, but less practical and less fluid that Forcelock. (Fluid > Cool, IMO FTR.)
Not available anymore, it's from White Mountaineering's previous BLK line. I see a few things from that line on yahoo.jp sometimes though.
>Visibly DIY'd tech clothing is awesome
I agree, but mainly what I'd want to do is something more sleek, similar to Veilance but budgeting on the material and just focusing on the aesthetics. Maybe experimenting. Sort of like cutting corners to spend less than I would for real techwear. I'd be getting into it for the wrong reasons...
Would love to see some pics you might have though.
