hey /fa/ what are some good styles and tips that you can give me to combine/match with this WWII army blazer?
Don't wear an ACTUAL military jacket with insignia and all. Military surplus stuff is fine, especially if you don't live in the same country. But OP pic is out of line and people will be looking down on you for it.
got it on ebay at a really sweet price.
you amerifats shouldnt be selling this shit if you dont want civilians to wear em'.
plus mine looks old as fuck, it is not the same one as the one in the Original post.
I know I will take off some of the insignia off to.
this is how it will look.
possibly, I bought it off the market and now it belongs to me.
Or I might as well sell it off at a much higher price.
I came here for Fashion Advice not to have a grand jury giving me a moral lecture.
First of all, pretty disrespectful. I've seen people wearing army garb as fashion (acu/bombers/marine dress) and it almost NEVER works. Scratch that, it never works.
Most of the time people ask you if you served, and the answer is always embarrassing. Other times, people just give them shit.
As for that jacket, the tour ribbons and patches make it so loud it's almost unwearable without pairing it with the rest of the military outfit.
If you truly had to wear it alone, I would pair it with dark wash jeans, cream colored chunky knit sweater, maroon scarf, brown boots, and ray bans.
If it's a real WWII why wear it? It will be a fucking relic later in life. Don't do this OP you idiot, when you are old you will tell your kids about the time you bought yourself a genuine WWII uniform but instead of looking after it and save it for them to see you wore it like an idiot and looked autistic in it and maybe defaced it, and your kids will laugh like they always do because you are an autistic beta that wants to be fashionable
Is it wool? If so I'd remove the rank insignia too. And maybe the diamond-shaped chest thing. It'll still look plenty military with the metal buttons and the shoulder crest.
Ignore the butthurts here. We honor old things when we retrofit them and give them new life.
I cant tell you are being sarcastic or not. But it was really won by the 3 allied powers(as well as the french resistance if you count the struggle in occupied France)-
Hehe I know, kek.
No I hate those libtards.
mine is this one >>9145050
the one without the tour ribbons, btw thanks for your constructive criticism.
I have the dark wash jeans along with the brown boots and the rayban shades (wayfarers and aviators)
can you please show me an example of the chunky knit colored sweater?
I am not defacing the blazer, I just said it to piss off that anon.
I mean he might be right at some extend, at this moment this uniforms are cheap because there is enough supply and little demand for them. But in the future this figure will change.
You bought the wrong thing, you can't wear that without looking soldier-esque , the buttons and insignias are too much, I see what you were trying to go for but with that jacket you can't do anything but look like a pleb.
Here you go: http://cache.mrporter.com/images/products/323603/323603_mrp_in_l.jpg
My logic is that the large threading and pattern in the sweater will mute the jacket to an acceptable level.
Also I apologize, the way I pick outfits is what I could see myself wearing. That said, I'm 6'1'' and a built 195; I'm not sure if this outfit would only work on similar body types. But have it a go, fashion is about experimentation.
I'm not sarcastic. Ha-ha, french resistance, how funny. USSR, that's it. Just the USSR. But I understand that media and your education have assured you that americans won that single-handedly. Especially nowadays, when even fucking Canadians think that their forces mattered in winning WW2.
Thanks m8! I understand, I am around 5' 11'' slim, I think it will work for me.
and you are absolutely right fashion is about experimentation. (that's partly why I bought the jacket and decided to come here for help.)
oh you are right, I just listed the French resistance to give them credit.
The way I see it is that the 3 Allied powers of the USSR , The English and the american powers worked together to halt the axis powers.
Even if the US didn't participate at 1st they still gave economic help as well as armament to the English.
I might be wrong, but the Americans almost single-handedly won the Pacific theater of the war.
You are goddamn right, I lurk /pol/ and I am genetically codded for a neckbeard, but I want more than that from life .
>Have you tried anything like it before and know it fits and suits you?
well not really, the closest clothing I have tried so far have been
an authentic m-65 and a peacock with a similar cut to the one in picture related.
oh surely I will delivery m8,
If I struggle I will make a thread on what colors could fit the color on related pict
oh alright So far with your mute earth tone advice I have this
from this thread I have this 2nd concept as well.
Absolutely awful. If you actually own that polo shirt, burn it
Lose the scarf, and the jumper would be nice if you lost the roll neck. Find a decent jumper similar with a crew neck. Also those boots are debatable at best, if you have to wear Docs the only acceptable ones are black 1460s (mono if you can get them) although if they work on you so much the better
This will go great with it
Captcha: perform memering
I have them boots on brown, they work fine with me. at this moment the only clothes that I have from this picture are the jeans and the jacket which is being shipped.
anything else I could combine it with?
Yes guys I think I will abandon the thread now, thanks everyone for your advices.
When my jacket Arrives I will deliver pictures, and from there on I will leave the anons of this boards to critique.
