What's the most expensive fit you've worn? No rented clothing.
$550 for me because I'm poorfag.
idk i had a margiela acket, loro piana cardigan, james perse white tee under it
with edwin jeans and ferragamo shoes
idk what the price tag is on that
i think there was another one with me in a zegna suit and hermes tie visible but it was just a quick cell shot of a riverside court house bathroom
The cotton quality alone was worth the money

I usually buy sale/secondhand so I probabaly have paid like 1K for all of it though
Most of my fits retail around 1K or more (mostly cause shoes and jackets) but mostly were bought for half or less that cost

sweater between $75-275

Most expensive would be suit days I think

my most expensive shoes are €75, most expensive cardigan is €89, most expensive trousers... I don't know, €30 or something.

Not that hard to comprehend, really. You look for different things in your clothing and it'd be silly to apply your standards to someone with an entirely different lifestyle, income, taste, and background.

not bad for a student
Fantastic brand! I do not have any of their leather. Just one wool overcoat which is extra-long, and oversized, it reaches down to my shins. It is a showpiece and doesn't have lining or pockets. It is comfortable and very warm, I've no complaints. I got mine online so I couldn't check the sleeve fit, so it ended up being a bit too long, but if you try it on first you should be fine. Their leather tends to stray away from the extra-elongated silhouette they have going for most of their other pieces so I probably can't give the best rec for it.
I have this shirt:
The only problem I have with it is the buttons are quite flimsy. Why do you view Ovate so negatively?
Knockoff of what? The people producing the clothes are just trying to make a living. I would rather support smaller brands that make clothes that fit the look that I want to have, and when I buy from clothing stores that are owned by people who are local to me I get to support them as well. Just a different point of view. <3
Everyone thinks Trunks dresses like shit. Have you seen even one thing he has posted? It's hilarious. No wonder he's so angry. He tries and tried and spends thousands of dollars but he still looks shit.
inaisce, jjve, is, etc. any of these would have been a better purchase, thamanyah would probably be best
210 for ovate is a joke
homeboy slp jeans are 2% PU, theyre called "stretch" jeans for a reason, any fat shit can fit in them, hate to break it to you but calling anyone that criticizes your shit taste fat just makes you look like more of a retard. twink fags look like shit anyways
I am not trying to hate on him, I think most of his fits look fine. I just think out on the street some people will probably think he looks silly.
He is just really entitled and has too much time on his hands. So he posts on boards and tries to make it seem like the brands that he personally likes best are definitively so. There are lots of different ways to look at why you purchase something, he is just stuck viewing brands from his one, narrow perspective.
Anyone can fit into anything but it doesn't mean they'll pull it off...
no thats IMPOSSIBLE
theres no way that anything by OBSCUR or OVATE could look cooler than a piece by a true MASTER ARTISTE ARTISAN like SRULI RECHT or RICK OWENS, its just impossible because I see brand first
You didn't address my full statement so I don't know how you can say I've given up. You didn't speak to people making a living, nor did you explain what Ovate is a knockoff of. If your response to another person of "Inaisce, jjve, is, thamanyah" is your opinion of the "real thing" you should probably explain why the construction is better and just how other brands are a knockoff. Just because you can't/don't feel like continuing the discussion doesn't mean that I have given.
Most expensive /fa/ article of clothing i own is prob. my Hugo Boss track jacket, which was $150 on sale($320 retail). I also own an expensive summit series north face jacket(was over $500 retail) but thats not really fashion... Same deal with my merrell winter boots($230). When you live in the middle of Canada, you gotta pay out the ass for proper winter gear or you'll be miserable for 9 months out of the year.
I dont own any fancy designer stuff(Other than a versace dress shirt that i picked up 2nd hand) and most of my clothing is bought from sports stores since i have friends who work there to let me use their discount... So I got lots of underarmour, north face, etc...
Also have a few expensive-ish lululemon jackets, and a guess hoodie that imo looks ugly as sin(Still has the $200 price tag on it, since its so fucking ugly i never bothered taking it off or wearing it
I dont buy walmart, old navy or target shit either, so atleast i'm better than 80% of the american public :p
>theres no way that anything by OBSCUR or OVATE could look cooler than a piece by a true MASTER ARTISTE ARTISAN like SRULI RECHT or RICK OWENS
yeah pretty much, wal mart isnt gonna look cooler than ovate either, nothing personell kid
everyone making clothes is making a living
im gonna buy the best clothes not the clothes from the people that live close to me because im not a dumbass
yes the construction, materials, and designs of all 3 of those will be better than ovate, ovate is overpriced voidthebrand tier shit
Thanks for the slightly-less-hostile reply. If you took the last few words off of the two last lines it would look like you were having a civil discussion.
If you are more concerned with buying things because they are "the best" then that's your prerogative. I am not tying to deter you from getting what, in your opinion, is the best, I am just saying different people have different priorities. I will look through my local fashion stores when I am looking for a piece before I go online. I would rather give money to people who produced things closer to me and who I can have a direct relationship with. I don't have any shops near me that sell the higher-end fashion brands that you refer to or I might consider getting their stuff more regularly. I am not disputing whether or not the quality if better for certain brands, I have not had any clothing from the brands that you are referencing, so I really only have my own, rather narrow experiences to base my opinion on.
I like my Ovate shirt and my Obscur coat and your opinion on "Best quality" doesn't change that. <3
trunks may be an asshole that buys 5th hand clothing but at least he experiments and is learning about what designing garments actually entails.
i remember when i first started coming here and trunks was some white canadian nerd in an oversized flecktarn and his black cp's. while I still think he looks like a nerd and posts too much on the internet, he's still doing better than 95% of the posters here.
if yr not trying to do something actually different, stop posting and reposting in WAYWT with yr highschool bathroom shit fits or pictures with no shoes. it's all cancerous and clogs up the website.
I wouldn't really say to try something different, but to understand what you were and how the pieces work with each other.
Trunks goes for a look that people will laugh at because it seems out of context in 'normal' society, but as an actual fit it's interesting but sometimes comes off goofy due to the setting.
If people actually tried to learn and go beyond they can expand into several styles that they feel comfortable in.
Note: This doesn't mean you have to wear a ethereal wraith garb day by day, it's just one of the many ways "style" branches out to.
Think of a skill tree in some game or some shit if you're having trouble
the most expensive shit i can put together would be:
drkshdw padded coat = aprox. 1k
RO high neck intarsia = aprox. 2k
devoa knit = aprox. 500
nicolas andreas taralis undershirt = aprox. 300
balmain distressed black bikers = aprox. 800
DD silent saturs = aprox. 270
so thats a total of aprox. 4870 eur
i also have a werkstatt munchen bracelet but i dont really wear it that much.
keep in mind tham im a student and i come form a middle class family, everything i had is the result of working at a call centre ( boring, but pays well), scaning the web for sales and years of saving up, also you ahve to stop copping mall shit once a week :)
Rick Hooded Jacket (Plinth) - paid $670/retailed ~$1800
2x Rick Unstable Cotton T(Vicious) - $600
DRKSHDW Prisoner Drawstrings(Vicious) - paid retail $400
Rick Shearling Ramones(Plinth) - paid $300 bn from SB/ retailed +$1200
Could go marginally more expensive by swapping out the prisoner pants for silk/cotton basket swinger shorts and the shearling ramones for reverse leather geos, but haven't worn the Rick jacket in months.
Pic is me in this fit. Bally loafers, Corbin Nordstrom trousers, a tagless oxford that I modified and prada tie - got all of this from VV.
This is all in canadian $$
550$ for gold grillz
two 300$ hermes (one around the head, the other around my neck)
200$ Alpha industry jacket
80$ zara cashmere sweater
60$ white button down
200$ naked and famous skinnys
forgot the shoes.
Like $100 tops for an entire outfit, errthang from walmart.
Having incredible bone structure, dope and well defined jawline-chin-cheekbone-eyebrow combo, dope nose, dreamy eyes, incredible v tapper body and well defined arms and abs helps to look incredible good in anything cheap tbh
Let's see, I'm a semi-professional athlete and my club is paying for my education, I also work a part-time job teaching kids with language deficits to read and write, and during the holidays I pick up whatever manual labour I can (warehouse work, ducted air con fittings). I don't waste any money on alcohol, drugs or really going out in general and always put money into my saver before I cop anything. I have 0 credit card debt. I buy from designers who I respect and don't wish to feed the fast-fashion cycle of exploitation to pass on absurdly low prices to the end consumers. So after that careful reevaluation I'm pretty content keeping things the way they are, but thanks for the suggestion, friend.
