ausfags how are you handling the heat? what are you wearing?
post inspo, discuss staying cool, etc etc
Got a pair of Prada pants in a super thin poly fabric. They are really lightweight and have a super wide fit and leg opening. Been wearing them quite a bit with a boxy tee and sandals.
this doesn't sound too good. I imagine you looking something like pic related. aren't shorts supposed to somewhat slim and tapered?
tbh this is set for this year's hot days
polo shirts in silk/cotton
tech fleece short
Typically I've been wearing light blue slim chino shorts with either navy, burgundy or heather tees or a dull pink button-up I got for Christmas. Only been wearing thongs lately but looking into copping flat sneakers of some kind, undecided on colour thus far. Unfortunately,
Oh well, at least I've been getting compliments.
As for the heat, living in the New England area it hasn't been excessively hot and when it is it's just dry and easy to deal with, but when I'm on the coast the humidity kills me.
Black jeans, docs/nb's and a T-shirt with the occasional windbreaker.
Its basic as fuck but its all I can do without sweating myself to death. Thinking of copping some button ups to look just a little more dressy than I would with just a T-shirt
linen or some cotton shorts, keep them 1-2" above the knee, then wear whatever else is bearable in the heat.
cropped pants are fun too, but i find it more difficult fitting shoes into an outfit with them. low sneakers are usually easy enough, but sock game has to be strong.
if you switch between long and short sleeves when appropriate, you'll be safe in avoiding repetitive outfits. and if you carry a backpack, always try to work a light sweater or cardi in cause you can bag that shit when it's, too hot.
Summer wardrobe mainly consists of:
uniqlo airism tees and underwear (goat)
nike dri fit tees
silent/ dries van noten tank
Just received these new rafs, pretty happy with them, comfy as fuck. although it does get really sweaty in them :(
It depends on the socks really. I find that ankle socks somehow give my feet space to breathe and stop them from getting overly hot and sweaty.
Docs are comfy AF and QTS will +1 you for having them, definitely cop.
What's a good brand for plain shorts?
not aus but got a $50 voucher for yd as a gift
most of their graphic and menswear stuff seems to be pretty yuck but the basics look reasonable and quite cheap as there is a sale on
anyone copped anything from there?
can;t be the only one who immediately thought this
maharishi slim cargoes
acne ace cash cropped at the ankle
outlier OG pants
>high humidity, high temp
>/fit/ so I sweat easily
>can't wear white that much since armpits will yellow
>sweat through jeans/pants
Any idea on what I can wear?My fits March-Nov is
>dockers khaki shorts
>basketball shoes, airmax, pumas
Hell even when I wear my gym 90% poly shirts I sweat through them.
I have both and like both. AS Colour's marble tees are really good, but I find their staple tee floaty around my midsection. Good fit around the shoulders and chest but really misshapen otherwise. Their paper tee isn't anywhere near as good as Uniqlo's airism either.
Black is less reflective, you're saving your eyes plus excess heat mirroring on your face. The absorption of heat is negligible to both eye strain and reflective heat going st once.
You ever see people in the dessert? Most wear head to toe black.
>tfw used to browse /fa/ almost daily
>tfw lived in italy and always dress nice, motly layered
>tfw moved to bali
>tfw stop browsing /fa/ and started browsing /fit/ because you can only be /fit/ to look good here
Why are jean shorts so looked down upon here? I wore a pair last summer mostly when I was skating because they are the only pair of shorts I even own, I cut them from Levi's 501s that were too short but were good on the waist.
I don't really like shorts that much to begin with though, wouldn't buy a pair ever, just happened to have the ill fitting jeans so I figured I'll get some use from them if I make shorts out of them.
But I won't
I'm from europe and I have blonde hair with blue eyes so mistaking me for a Mexican here would be a stretch.
Hick I could see happening if I wore wifebeaters or something but I don't
it's okay. locals are super friendly, lots of qt3.14 foreign girls. and they're all pretty toned/fit because most of them surf.
only shitty thing here is the traffic. besides that everythings p nice and tropical.
New Jersey here, want to get started on my spring wardrobe for this year, even though it's kind of late. Figure I'll go with pic related and anything similar, like that one picture that everyone associates with dadcore when it's really prep.
I figured I'd get things like pastel colored chino/twill pants, OCBD, boat shoes, just regular stuff like that.
Any idea where to start though? What colors to start with, where to buy, ect. just the basics to get this rolling
