Thoughts? Would this look stupid if you're 21?
I want to get waves in my hair until it's long enough for twist outs.
What should I put in my scalp? I don't really do anything to it and I want to start styling it.
Like, what shampoos or oils or whatever should I get?
When you're growing your hair out, make sure your hair isn't dry, because that's how you get breakage. Moisturize with water+essential oils (people suggest coconut, olive, and jojoba oils), seal with a coating product.

I usually have twists, the problem they don't move enough when I move my head for my tastes, unless my hair are wet, is there anything I could to keep the inertia that water adds to my hair throughout the day? For example what COLORLESS conditioner/moisturizer could I use?
They are thin, but pretty short, they just need to be wet with some gel or something to move. But gel isn't a solution as I can not leave it in, unless there are gel that can be leaved in?

I locked myself into having dreads when I was 15 or so, not sure if I made the right choice or not. I definitely like them but there aren't many styles I can do with them that don't accentuate my already protruded forehead...
Any ideas on what to do with my hair? I'm sick of the same, "get a buzz cut or fade like every other nigga on the block" deal. I decided to let my hair grow but as of right now im not sure what to do as of styling it. I've tryed making it curly like in >>9322523
but I barely know shit when it comes to my type of hair.
>tfw mixed w/ wavy straight hair
>tfw can never go basquiat
>tfw have the exact same problem and exact same goal
bruh it looks fucking gay.. no real nigga would want to look like that. I've seen retarded white/indian people thinking it's edgy, you're all destroying a culture by making it a bandwagon. How embarrassing please stop.
I don't mind seeing a few people having a Chonmage but once every nigga on the block is riding the same kinda dick that's when I draw the line.
Styling is one thing but every style will look like shit if your hair isn't MOISTURIZED. So how do you guys do it? My hairs about 5 inches long right now and I still haven't been able to get the moisturizing part down. Plus frizz is also a bitch.
I'm not a big fan of globbing a bunch of heavy product into my hair daily, as that tends to cause my face to breakout.
Use a spray bottle with 3 parts water and 1 part whatever oil of your choice, and also use a leave in conditioner. I reccomend, Avlon's KeraCare Hair Milk. It's light and also works as a detangler.
alot is gained by simply not combing infact i recommend not combing to anyone looking to grow their hair out. it is the only way you actually will find out how your hair grows and the texture that is unique to you once you know you can choose the direction that is best for you via styling
